A downed soldier can still fire on enemies. A downed robot can't, and it would be much more expensive to repair these. A marine also costs less to produce, and would be more versatile and effective in pretty much any combat situation.

Dont take me as a pessimist but if they truly can work out a full human stabilization system that can coinside with a targeting system, it would only end badly for civilians. in shoes, the heel toe movement is expected, this is a less than ideal walking motion, barefoot humans trying to walk like that, get hurt, so the assertion that it walks 'like a human', is incorrect. in shoes, or bare, there are injuries, people in shoes have -different- injuries, but not less. for something so heavy that shoes provide no effective padding, landing with a flat or front ball gait would be better, would make the programming easier.
