I see most of these "natural" style runners contact the ground with the heel first, however, I don't think that they absorb the force of the impact with the heel. Most of the impact seems to be absorbed when the forefoot connects. There's a difference between heel STRIKE and heel CONTACT. Don't let the theory of a technique disrupt the pragmatic use of a technique.
fire two parts at the beginning were fine in terms of lean, could be a tiiiny bit better but genreally ok. the last part in the first minute tho he leaned forward too much through the waist, he could fix up pretty much everything in his upper portions and some in his lower if he had a slight lean through his ankles
@OMGedInStoresNearYou Old habits are hard to get rid of. He's still anticipating for landing instead of allowing the leg (foot) to drop passively. This seems to be the main reason for his delay to weight the BOF first. Nevertheless he showed nice improvements after one session on several aspects. His landing is closer under the body and he's able to transfer is bodyweight over support more efficient. Yes there's room for improvement. There always is. I guess that counts for most of us.
@OMGedInStoresNearYou um, no. He's noty heel striking, you just want to find something to correct in someone. He's NOT heel strikiing, he's practically landing on his toenails.
@OMGedInStoresNearYou I've seen some vids of mid-foot runners where the heel comes down first but they still hit the ground mid-foot - It kinda looks like that's what's going on here if you look hard.
close but still too straight legged at contact. I would drop down a little lower. Of course, at that slow of speed it's not that big a deal. However, if you run long distances at that speed, you'd definitely feel less impact with a lower center of gravity.
@kushlion "Running on TOES" is no good. That would be too much impact on ja too small area not made for that kind of loads to cope with. I think you mean to say your heel is not touching the ground, but your BOF (ball of foot) , I hope, does. If this is the case, you don't have to worry as long as you don't hold UP the heel actively by use of calf muscles.
@kushlion Further more; Some people are able to transfer their bodyweight over support (BOF) so efficient and quick that there's no time for the heel to "kiss the ground". in faster running this is more likely the case. The degree of the heel touching the ground also depends on the mobility of the calf muscles (lenght) and the ability to make use of muscle-tendon elasticity capacity.
@kushlion If you're running purely on the balls of your toes, you're putting a lot of strain on your Achilles. Its good if your heel touches, but the trick is finding the stride that only uses the heel for support, not for landing.
About that knee drive... When I'm tired, I just about knee myself in the face. I wonder if its still possible to try and change my form, just a little bit?...
Google Joe Sparks EZ running belt and you'll find it. He's a posecoach and he got into the finals with this belt in "The best idea of America", or whatever the name of that programm is.
I'm not into twitter, I'm "afraid" of twitter.......... it would leave me less time to run ;-). Good luck and use the belt in a sensibel way. Just for perception of quick pulling and good direction as well as being compact. Don't go run with it for miles!!
@toby099 Yes, it can be difficult sometimes. Also you can't have it all in one session. It ain't that easy I'm afraid. Old habits are hard to get rid of. Perhaps even more with elite runners.
@DemCousins ; Hi, hard to tell as I don't know what you've been doing and if you understand the concept that's been used by posemethod? Check the posetech website, there's a lot of info that might clear thinfs up for you. There's a forum aswell with lots of people willing to help you improve (change) your runningtechnique.
BTW; There are more vids on my Thjeko channel about runningtechnique. Some with a little more explaination. Good luck and enjoy the process ;-)!

@AK47like007 In the before part he doesn't, but IMO he does much better at the end of the session.
