hahah this is so nonse car, who need 300 PS in the city, to work ? In the promo video. empty streets in nowhere without police, traffic lights, or speed limits. So fucking stupid.

i have an Escalade right now man, and it sucks, fucking GM motors, my next car im thinking about buying something like this, how much is the market price.
Compared to what, genius? A Bugatti Veyron..LOL! This is a drivers car, not for some punk kid to drag from stop light to stop light. Take your head out of yer arse, son, and go learn to drive before you make stupid comments.
Jesus! Thats goin on the christmas list. Im a huge Bimmer fan, and I did not see this coming. I mean seriously, I saw the E90 sedan M3 comin, and I did not see this. Such a pleasant surprise. I love the old 2002's.
you are all talking bollocks, a decent 135 cost 31 300 pounds, from bmw, look them up on the internet and i found one with all the toys bells and whistles for 26 250, brand new. I actually own a 1 series 5 door 116 se, list price 21 400, i paid 16400, its not hard to get a deal on these cars.
you call 27k (128i) cheap !???? you must SHIT money my friend. 135i is 32k-35k. It's the cheapest BMW, dont get it mistaken for a CHEAP car. The 1-series are all about engine.
Lets see... most magazines tested my old '01 330Ci with a 220 hp inline 6 (almost the same as what will be in the 128i) at 5.9-6.1 seconds 0-60. The 128i has more horsepower and will be smaller, so I'd expect it to be slightly under 6 sec. The 300 twin turbo in the same package would be around 5 sec flat with an aggressive launch.
128i and 135i are both gonig to f'ing ROCK (as long as you don't need to carry anything).
It's gonna be quicker than 5 seconds flat with launch. It's gonna be at least 4.8 seconds. BMW is very conservative with there timing. Reviewers are getting the 335i coupe 0-60 at 4.8 seconds. There is so much potential for this engine. I can not wait until March.
Most definitely quicker than 5 seconds to 60 with a decent launch. I've heard of some 335's getting 4.7 with a set of better/wider tires. The 135i is also 300-400 pounds lighter :). Can not wait until March!!!
No. It's only 100lbs lighter than the 335i, and will cost $35K for the base model. By the time you add some options, the 135i will run you closed to $45K. That's ridiculous for a 1 series. Hell. The $35K base price is ridiculous for a 1 series.
I posted my comment based on magazine estimates and talks with multiple dealerships. What is your source for your figures? All of the dealers said base model cost around $30-$32K. Only 100lbs lighter?!? Look how much smaller it is. I would put money on the line that it is atleast 200lbs lighter.
35k is going way to high. It is more like 31k to 32k. Just look at the 335i it is 40.8k if someone was going to spend the money they would just buy the 335i and not the 135i.
There are not a lot of options for the 135 the base model is said to be loaded. I think it's only options will be nav and maybe a stereo upgrade, so there is not 10k worth of options available. IF you load up a 335 you get close to 50k, so the 1 will definitely be much cheaper. It is priced close the the R32 which is the only thing close to direct competition it will have.
What options do you need? Its a BMW. It has a twin-turbo 300hp,300lb or torque engine. It has sunroof/leather/gps. Um am I missing anything? As far as competition. It would destroy an R32. this car competes with EVO and STi. BMW states is does 0-62 in 5.2. Truth is is does 4.9, without any mods. A Simple ECU upgrade and your pushing 0-60 in 4.3 EASY. So watch out this car is a sleeper. OOOH, and its priced around 35k.
You can't buy a new Ferrari for that much... lmao u need over 200k after options and tax... I am actually getting a Porsche turbo this summer when I come home from college as my 2nd car...Ferrari costs much more and taking it in for a 5-8k tune up every 3k miles is quite a bit... and if u ever see Ferraris owners... most have so little mileage on them... its because they drive it like 2,000-4,000 miles a year max
way wrong. 32k to 35k with all options included! The point of the 1-series is to have a less expensive car with the same power engine as the 3-series. Obviously its smaller but i dont mind at all. I was planin to get a convertible but i changed my mind, coupe all the way
I need a new car. I drive a Grand Cherokee and have been looking to get something more sporty. I thought about a WRX/STI/Legacy GT because I'd be able to drive in the winter, but if this is priced well I'll keep my Jeep get a 135. People were complaining about the 5 series, but this flowed from it, and it looks perfect. I need a test drive!!!!
I just bought a 335i a few months ago and love it dearly. However... this is something else. I am unsure I can clearly explain how much I want one of these. I am sorely tempted to attempt a straight swap at my local dealership as soon as this arrives.
You think they would do it with a yellow exterior over black interior? (If i asked them nicely?)
BMW had an issue with severely underrating the 0-60 times of the 335i for some reason, with a good launch you will see much better times than the posted ones.
I can't imagine how much fun this 135i would be to drive, i cream my shorts every time i've driven an M3, and this is lighter and just a few ponies short...
it's going to be alot faster than 5.3, it has the same engine as the 335i and the 335i will see 60 in 4.8 seconds. the 135i is alot lighter than a 335i so it will be faster.
That is one good looking car, with 50/50 wieght distribution 306bhp and 0-62mph in 5.3sec there won't be much on the road that will keep with it.Its certainly got me thinking about my next car, can't wait for a test drive in one.

If you buy a 125i, will it be expensive to convert it to a 135i? Its the same engine but with twin turbo.
The reason i ask this "stupid" question is because the insane custums on cars in my country.
