  • Great musician, and a humble man.

  • Jimi Hendrix was cited in a 1969 interview shortly after Woodstock: Interviewer: "So Jimi, what's it like to be the best guitarist in the world?" Jimi: "I don't know, ask Rory Gallagher".[37][38]

  • wauw!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What amazes me here is that was barely 20 at best at the time of this performance. The Irish, the art....

  • I lift my glass to you Rory, and pray that the powers that be will find some reason and the sensibility to do the right thing -Induct Rory Gallagher into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-

I can find now reason that the honor has not been bestowed on your worthy and deserving name thus far.

    and furthermore

    GO RORY GO!!!!!!!

  • I certainly wish circumstances allowed him to spend considerable more time in the USA! Our loss for not being aware of this great artist's contributions!!

  • Into the Hall for sure and ASAP!!!

  • alguien pude poner subtitulos in spanish please saludos of chile. is the great compositor and guitarrist . the beast.

  • Notice he hits a klinker on the harmonica around 1:19, he smirks! I remember once in 72 I saw him and the band started a song poorly and Rory stopped, apologized to the audience and restarted the song. A true professional.

  • adoro adoro adoro, thanxs from brazil... valeu!!!

  • Rest In Peace, Rory.. You are still one of the greatest musicians of all times and nations..

  • yeah man, i'm totally diggin this.

  • What a great song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • When in1969, London England, Jimi Hendrix was asked what it was like to be the best guitarist in the world? he replied "why don't you ask Rory Gallagher".

  • Wow,

since now i Thought, that only Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler

could impress me that way, but rory did it too!

    Very impressing, amazing and inspiring!

Does anyone know, if he plays while he improvises only the blues-skales?

  • genius playing lead on mouthie and guitar at same time !!

  • genius

  • Check out that '61 Strat! There is still a trace of paint and finish on it!

  • Check out that '61 Strat! There is still a trace of paint and finish on it!

  • I saw Rory many many times, but with the Taste, 1969 and 1970 in Hamburg, Rory was on that time the real guitar super star in Hamburg, the Taste, specially with the high dynamism drummer John Wilson, was the the best from Rory`s alltime band,

Rory was the best guitar player the British Isles, from all time, Rory for ever,

  • @ralphhealey ...He was from Donegal in Ireland my man !!!!!!

  • Look at his guitar, in rather good shape back in those days !

  • When I was teenager, I would start my day, many times, with this song!

    True story. Inspiration!

  • Thank You for sharing.

Like so many artists, Rory is bigger in death than he was in life...damned pity... but I like to believe that he's smiling down.

Enjoy the fruits of Rory's single minded, often solitary devotion..making Great Music!

  • A very moving vid

    Thanks for the share

  • Simply GREAT. How much, it represents a certain ERA.

    THANK YOU!

  • Greatest band ever!...thanks Martha!!

  • RIP

  • Takes me back to being pissed in the garden in 1970 -fucking wonderful

  • beautiful melody when i feel down i hear rory's music, just because he makes me feel great playing his great music

  • beautiful. always.

  • So beautiful. RORY IS THE BEST. He makes me cry. But not in a sad way. He means more to me than any other musician. GOD REST him. xxx

  • does anyone know if there's a version "same old story" by taste on here?

  • yes

Krahsnif have sharing this song on you tube

    Ajoutée : 6 avril 2008 )

    Taste from 5/08/68.Radio Top Gear

  • The pup's down-undery bits, so melodic. Beautifully haunting.

  • When Rory dumped John Wilson and Richie McCracken and broke up Taste, I was livid, but as the years went on and I got to know the two guys very well, I realised that he'd done exactly the right thing. They just weren't dependable

  • There was no Rod De'athat that time. Gallagher at that time was/is so far ahead of his the guy was playing 40 years ago with this song.

  • Even though Taste was good, we could see from this clip that rory needs more to expand himself! He did well going solo!

By the way, tremendous melody from this music!

No one was and will be better than Rory

  • Rory Rules!

  • it's 1970

  • Great vid! Does anyone have the "it happened before,it'll happen again" video from the same beat club session? if u do plz upload it soon!

  • if you did'nt find it already,search on youtube:rory plays S-A-X-OPHONE.

  • RORYYYYYYYY FOR EVER!!!

  • Does anyone know how to play this song. i cant seem to figure it out.

  • Just beautiful! Do you (or anyone else) have the old Beat Club vid of It's Happened before, It'll Happen Again? Rory was a great Sax man, too. But thanks for this one. Glad there is some Taste footage available.

  • search in:Rory plays saxophone!

  • TASTE were so much better then the solo stuff. Does anyone ave a vid of Signals of Rorys Jinx album?

  • Heart touching

  • bravo!

  • wow..

  • ..and ultimate too for that matter..

  • great song!!!

  • Oh man, you made my day! Thanks for this Gem!!!!

  • ,,Made mine too,,named my son RORY cos of this guy,,what a singer,,saw them in '70,,

  • the best quitarist ever

  • greatness, sad song

  • It's just so awesome, i can taste the talent from here.

  • Outstanding, I got to meet the dude at the Whiskey in LA in 1974. Nice dude, he partied with the crowd like a true Irishman! May he RIP.

  • I saw Rory Gallagher in 1968 at the Village of the Damned Blues Club in Gillingham. I saw him about 20 times after that over the years and even bought him a guinness at Chatham Central Hall! We were the only two in the bar during the warm up band he was a very quiet guy! Sadly missed.

  • Brilliant

  • lo mas de lo mas

  • he kinda sounds like jack bruce in this.

  • thanks for the clip.. big song.. big taste...

  • Great....From Taste "On The Boards"....Rory, John Wilson-Drums & Richard McCracken-Bass...Atco Records....Never dreamed I'd be setting here watching this....Thank you so very much....Made my day!
