Jimi Hendrix was cited in a 1969 interview shortly after Woodstock: Interviewer: "So Jimi, what's it like to be the best guitarist in the world?" Jimi: "I don't know, ask Rory Gallagher".[37][38] from Wikipedia

I lift my glass to you Rory, and pray that the powers that be will find some reason and the sensibility to do the right thing -Induct Rory Gallagher into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-
I can find now reason that the honor has not been bestowed on your worthy and deserving name thus far.
I certainly wish circumstances allowed him to spend considerable more time in the USA! Our loss for not being aware of this great artist's contributions!!
Notice he hits a klinker on the harmonica around 1:19, he smirks! I remember once in 72 I saw him and the band started a song poorly and Rory stopped, apologized to the audience and restarted the song. A true professional.
When in1969, London England, Jimi Hendrix was asked what it was like to be the best guitarist in the world? he replied "why don't you ask Rory Gallagher".
I saw Rory many many times, but with the Taste, 1969 and 1970 in Hamburg, Rory was on that time the real guitar super star in Hamburg, the Taste, specially with the high dynamism drummer John Wilson, was the the best from Rory`s alltime band,
Rory was the best guitar player the British Isles, from all time, Rory for ever,
When Rory dumped John Wilson and Richie McCracken and broke up Taste, I was livid, but as the years went on and I got to know the two guys very well, I realised that he'd done exactly the right thing. They just weren't dependable
Just beautiful! Do you (or anyone else) have the old Beat Club vid of It's Happened before, It'll Happen Again? Rory was a great Sax man, too. But thanks for this one. Glad there is some Taste footage available.
I saw Rory Gallagher in 1968 at the Village of the Damned Blues Club in Gillingham. I saw him about 20 times after that over the years and even bought him a guinness at Chatham Central Hall! We were the only two in the bar during the warm up band he was a very quiet guy! Sadly missed.
Great....From Taste "On The Boards"....Rory, John Wilson-Drums & Richard McCracken-Bass...Atco Records....Never dreamed I'd be setting here watching this....Thank you so very much....Made my day!
Great musician, and a humble man.

since now i Thought, that only Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler
could impress me that way, but rory did it too!
Very impressing, amazing and inspiring!
Does anyone know, if he plays while he improvises only the blues-skales?

Thank You for sharing.
Like so many artists, Rory is bigger in death than he was in life...damned pity... but I like to believe that he's smiling down.
Enjoy the fruits of Rory's single minded, often solitary devotion..making Great Music!

There was no Rod De'athat that time. Gallagher at that time was/is so far ahead of his the guy was playing 40 years ago with this song.

Even though Taste was good, we could see from this clip that rory needs more to expand himself! He did well going solo!
By the way, tremendous melody from this music!
