  • I LOVE the rising musical notes idea... this is like what a blind man sees when watching these scenes and that prtrays it SO well.

  • Great Job it really changes the meaning of the scene.

  • Grate jahb!

  • OMG my favorite BY FAR!! especially the music notes lol :)

  • hey man, i really love the way u animate those spinning words :))

  • OUR PETS HEADS ARE FALLING OFF :')

  • Great stuff PMSL

Apart from the great typography, the spellings were orsum!!

  • Gurrrrrrr.....Thers ah tipo in ther, thts no gd.

  • I don't know what's more impressive, the finished result or the time and patience it probably took to get to the final result. Either way, good job!

  • this is absolutely beautiful.

  • LOVE the misspelled words! LOVE the musical notes that shake with his crying. Love that it's over 30 seconds long :) This is one of the best typographies I've seen, and one of my favorite movies. Great job!

  • You have captured the soul of Dumb and Dumber movie in this ! Great work.

  • i like when he is like "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO LLOYD!!!"

  • reaalllllly cool but u spelled place wrong

  • i like how u zoom in on some letters, and and have that circle of words spin :3

  • woah thats amazing! how long did this take you??

  • awesome

  • Great work. I love how you misspell and use alternative words instead of the actual words which fits perfectly for the characters. lol

  • Just wanna say thanks to everyone who commented on this. The response has been overwhelming. Like I said before, I am in no way a motion graphic person. I had to do this for a school project about a year and a half ago. I'm more of a web designer/developer, but I had a blast working on this. I hope this helps inspire people to do more of these. To this day I still think that the Fight Club Chemical Burn is one of the absolute best examples of kinetic typography.

  • @ufnc that worked incredibly well! weldone!

  • soooooo funny! great work!

  • my favorite parts or the "we've got no foooOOOOODDD, we've got no jaaaaAAABBBSS, and our pets HEADS KEEP FALLING OFF!!!"

  • These effects are very impressive. They really help to capture the mood of the scene, and bring out some humour. haha, i laughed at the misspellings. nice touch.

    bravo.

  • hard to read....

  • It's beautiful :) nice done

  • this is an unbelievably good piece of work, the section where you track around in a disjointed circle is brillliant, the mispelled words and the wobble on the particular at the end is brilliant. as good as kinetic typography gets! WELL DONE A*

  • Why do I not own this movie. I loved it so much when I was a kid and simply forgot how great it is.

  • what a beautiful piece of art... thank you...

  • lindo!

    xD

  • hahahhahahahahaa

    amazing! :D

  • Ok i love how u misspelled the words to show how dumb these guys are lol.

  • this is freakin' awesome!

  • very well done!

  • I don't know Lloyd, the French are assholes

  • That's great. Now for the people that didn't get that in the video can scroll down, see your retarded comment, and be glad that you were there to save them from missing that line.

  • You know, not all of us Americans are fat-ass racist bastards. Some of us are pleasant fucking people. You're thinking specifically of the south. The south is full of those fat-ass racist retards you despise so much. The rest of us are pretty fucking okay. You fucking asshat.

  • aw man you're too awesome to only make one!!! just make more when you feel like it and share with us :)

  • The spelling of the words was hilarious.. I loved it!!!!!!

  • Omg this was great!! I love the music notes with his crying!! Brilliant 8)

  • I love the part where he goes "U juss wanna go da Aspin" and the text revolves around.

  • Thanks for all the kind comments. This was my first (and probably last) attempt at one of these kinds of projects. I had a blast working on it. LOVING the movie probably made it easier to work on. Ironically I'm more of a web person, but was assigned this project while in school, so I kinda had to do it. But it did expose me to After Effects, so that's a good thing

    Thanks again!

  • Is it easy to make a Typography like that?

how much did it take you to do it?

  • Duuude, you cant stop!... if you do perhaps you can pass on your legacy by teaching me? haha?

  • Absolutely SPECTACULAR!!! I love typography... and you've done the art perfect justice... keep up the great work!!!!

  • amazing

  • that was awesome!

  • awesome!

  • I am in tears from laughing. Brilliant.

  • Awsome. Made me want to see Dumb and Dumber again. The text seemed simple at first, but you did a great job of giving the words life and feeling. They portrayed the emotions of the actors very well. Good work.

  • a little place called ASS pin.....

iunno llyod the phrench are assholes hahahhahah omg thats so funny

  • This is genius. XDDD

I nearly watched it until I had it memorized! XDDD

  • fuking awesome job man, one of the best iv seen

  • Awesome job... I loved the way you made the words travel in a circle when Harry figures out why Lloyd wants to go to Aspen... I've never seen that before!

  • What an excellent example of kinetic typography! I love the way you really captured the esscence of the scene - something very few of these pull off. Thanks!

  • the words are meant to be spelt wrong, because it's dumb and dumber and if you watch the film the credits at the start are all spelt wrong

  • "Spelt" isn't a word. It's "spelled."

  • I love this! You did an awesome job. I've done a little kinetic typography, enough to know that this one is brilliant.

  • This is SO well gone. What program do you use to do this?

  • that was AWESOME!!!

i love that you didn't spell everything right. It made me enjoy it even more.

You did a wonderful job on this...

  • you mean

"you did a wonderful JAAHHB" hahaha

  • hahaha soo true so true

  • it's hard to take them seriously, but when READING the dialogue, it's quite, touching. hahaha...

  • nicely done

  • i HATE mispelling!!!!!!

  • hence the movie title "dumb and dumber"

  • the title doesn't entitle it to mispellings. they are too desperate anyway, doesn't feel like they would spell it like this. it would be flavourful in a quantity but its just too deliberate. mispelling is a flaw not an art.

  • i disugree

  • what an argument...

  • Your to sensitiv

  • a sensative soodoh intalektoall

  • énorme

    *****

  • AASSS PIN! lmao

    hilarious! XD

  • That was so well done... I love how everything was misspelled, it reminds me of the opening sequence. Seriously that was just great keep up the awesome work :)

  • Very nice job that was really good!!

how did you do the part starting around :52 where the camera is spinning around the text?

  • Great video man! Been trying to dabble in this with Apple Motion, but I can see I have a lot of work to do...

  • I bow to you, good sir.

  • Captured perfectly! Best I've seen...great work!

  • tender moment lol

  • I dig it. I enjoy the misspelling as a hole. But the use of 'wear' really just isn't needed as it sounds the same as 'where' - whereas the rest are misspellings to highlight dialect.

  • I agree, the misspelling totally fit the characters.

  • I like how you mispelt 'hole for 'whole'.

  • Awesome. Well done, great job!

  • i dunno wat i just watched but i thought it was well done =)

  • 5/5 and favorited. Hilariously awesome!

  • this is kind of wack... :/ I'd rather just watch the real thing, besides the fact that I'd be watching the whole thing, and lmao at it. The whole way through..

  • Great! :D

  • This is the best typography i've seen. Technically well done.

  • We got no FOOOOOOODDDD

    that part made me laugh!!!!

  • this is tiiiight i don't know how it doesn't have million views by now?

  • BRILLIANT!

crap spelling + this great scene = greatness

  • This is awesome!

    I loved the misspelling.

This actually made me laugh because of the brilliant misspelling. <3

  • OMFG!! this is the best typography video.. Gratz!

  • one of the best for sure

  • one of the best typography i've seen

  • I LOVED the intentional misspellings to reflect their personalities and intelligence. good job, man.

  • Wow, I'm impressed. How to make that ? Which programs ? Please, give me some advice.

  • Very nice. Was this done on aftereffects?

  • yeah, and the particular plug-in by trapcode

  • This is one of my favorites. Brilliant idea to keep with the theme of the actual movie by rewriting and misspelling the words.

  • AWESOME

  • Awesome!

  • we got no JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHBS!

    Greatness :D

  • phuckin awsum

  • actually, I disagree with MrGlass - I think, if Harry and Lloyd were to write down what they just said, this is likely how they would spell everything. I wasn't sure at first, but then it started to make sense, and in the end, it was a brilliant decision. Good job!

    -T.

  • Great movie, great scene, great interpretation.

  • good work mate, really liked it :)
