God bless these young Christian rappers, they use their talents not for money or riches but for the Glory of God, so they can send out these messages about the good news and influence other people to read their bibles and never stop living for God. LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD!
Trip's music is also blessing my life. I've been struggling recently but his music has helped me to think and reflect...I'm now moving closer to Christ. Trips's music is a blessing.

His lyrics "come from being in the scriptures"? Does he rap much about slavery, infanticide, genocide, treating women as second class citizens and as property, stoning unruly children and killing homosexuals? (I'm guessing not, but that would surely be what an honest Christian would rap about since that's all in the scriptures.)

Those things you mention are not the WHOLE of the bible ... so wht im saying is yes there are SOME of the things you mention in the bible ... especially in the Old testament ... Slavery was a way to pay off debts (Deutoronomy), Infanticide was Gods Judgement of the Firstborns in Egypt because of Pharaos hard heart ... Genocide would be Gods RIGHTEOUS judgement on WICKED nations and ppls not out of hate . And stoning is a punishment

@HisBondservant777 There may be no story of a child being stoned, but that does not mean it never happened. The point is it was COMMANDED to be done when needed. What about 2 Kings 2:23-24? God uses 2 bears to kill 42 kids. That's worse than a single incident of stoning. If God is against homosexuality then he shouldn't have made homosexuals. Gensis 3:16 puts women in their place as servents to men.

@HisBondservant777 If God loves the sinner, why would he create a place of eternal torture and allow people he loves to go there? If I was God I would either forgive people (which is the moral thing to do) or just allow them to die and cease to exist. Your God decided that the best plan of action was to banish those who didn't follow him to a place they could never escape. That is punishment SOLELY for the sake of punishment, and it's sadistic and evil.
Hell is not what you portray it to be, as sadistic torture. Hell is more illustrated to our justice system. When you sin against society, you are punished, when you sin against an infinite holy God, you will also be punished. Since you sin against God, your punishment is much more weightier. Because hell is so terrifying that shows the grace that God gives when He sent His only begotten Son to die for sinners.

We can argue with an argument, but not with a changed life. However you are commanded by God to repent of your sins, and to believe in Jesus Christ, Son of God who died for sinners. If you do not do this, you commit a great sin and crime against God and warrant your own punishment.

The Bible is a historical document in the sense that it is a part of history, but again, that makes it no more true than "The Night Before Christmas" and Santa Claus.

It is like the Holocaust memoirs are documents that account for the specific atrocities in concentration camps. Likewise the gospel writings are historical accounts of the life of Jesus.

The platform and stability which the Quran has does not match the authenticity of the New Testament.

We have not believed merely in cleverly devised myths, look at creation and how it proclaims the glory of God. Nature, life, music, art, all points to Jesus and His glory.

Now, I was never into "hip hop christian rap"--actually I prefer these artists to call themselves lyricist instead of attaching themselves to the "hip hop culture-which screams anti-God. Trip does not appear to emphasize that movement which is helping me to appreciate his style

He doesn't say "look at trip", "look at wat trip can do." and that's what it is about. he's giving all Glory to God and that's why i am inspired by 116 and the whole movement. @Volosenie I know what you mean! You can listen to just about any song by Trip or Lecrae and get the full gospel of Christ crucified, repentance and salvation. Each song is like mini sermons, unlike a lot of contemporary 'christian' songs that bear more resemblance to typical Top 40 pop songs than anything that magnifies the name of Christ.

I love Trip cause he constantly spits the truth. I fell in love with him when I heard a song by him on youtube; not even by his looks. I'm just thankful that there are true Christian rappers out there cause if they weren't I probably wouldn't be into Christ like that since I don't like regular Christian music like that.

God uses 2 bears to kill 42 kids. That's worse than a single incident of stoning. If God is against homosexuality then he shouldn't have made homosexuals. Gensis 3:16 puts women in their place as servents to men.

If I was God I would either forgive people (which is the moral thing to do) or just allow them to die and cease to exist. Your God decided that the best plan of action was to banish those who didn't follow him to a place they could never escape. When you sin against society, you are punished, when you sin against an infinite holy God, you will also be punished. Since you sin against God, your punishment is much more weightier. Because hell is so terrifying that shows the grace that God gives when He sent His only begotten Son to die for sinners.

The platform and stability which the Quran has does not match the authenticity of the New Testament.

Many other scriptures exist and are based off some man's teachings like the Quran or Dalai Lama, but the Bible is the only scripture that has SOLID historical backround and foundations. We have not believed merely in cleverly devised myths, look at creation and how it proclaims the glory of God. Nature, life, music, art, all points to Jesus and His glory.
How foolish you think the gospel is, it saves sinners and it could save you, just go to Jesus and He will save you.

Jesus' historical impact is established numerous witnesses, some given in the Bible, and some outside (Tacitus, Ignatius etc) historians. There's more reason to believe in Jesus than to believe in Ancient Rulers, and famous Kings that reigned in the past.
Even the majority of unbelievers do at least claim Jesus did exist.

The individuals of the Jesus Seminar is a good example. Many of them do affirm the existence of Jesus, yet deny the entire faculty of Christianity.
Do you believe Plato existed? Or Alexander the Great? Or Euclid? The established for their presence is the same as the New Testament.

Trip Lee's music is so geared toward spreading the gospel it's RIDICULOUS( for those who don't know this means great in this context :-) It is so evident that he has a heart for Christ and a strong desire to evangelize. Now, I was never into "hip hop christian rap"--actually I prefer these artists to call themselves lyricist instead of attaching themselves to the "hip hop culture-which screams anti-God. Trip does not appear to emphasize that movement which is helping me to appreciate his style

@Volosenie I know what you mean! You can listen to just about any song by Trip or Lecrae and get the full gospel of Christ crucified, repentance and salvation. Each song is like mini sermons, unlike a lot of contemporary 'christian' songs that bear more resemblance to typical Top 40 pop songs than anything that magnifies the name of Christ.
