if you want to get rid of your problem when typing a message and it trying to correct you, just go into options when you have your sms and mms folder opend, open up spell check then just uncheck the auto correction box.. then you can type with all the bad grammer and slang words you want lol without it correcting you.
i say taht the typing is your fault, if you cant press the buttons then there is a small problem, if it slows you down taht much there is a bigger problem. Otherthan that it was a good mini review =D.
The quick tips were very helpful... the Storm does seem to be kinda slow... hhmmm... I'll have to wait and see how the Bold compares to it. Can't wait till your next vid!
Nice review! I like that Storm clip in the beginning haha. SO CHEESY, but funny nonetheless. I'm surprised why RIM would put out such a laggy device, when the other ones are so smooth. That put me back on the fence on whether or not to get it *sigh*.
Mathew Miller does a review on text entry with the Storm a few hours ago. It seems that he really accurate when using the device in Portret mode. He is also very fast. When using with the quiry mode, he had allot of mistakes. When using his I phone he is very quick as well.
Interesting review. I wonder if typing with this kind of technology will greatly improve over time and practice? I must say that I like the idea of pressing down on the screen but I have heard that many feel this is allot of work. With a normal keyboard you have to press down, and people seem to love entering data this way traditionally. As far as the choppy flow, I can see how this might be frustrating, however this phone is very interesting to me.
i tried it out in the store today and i had a lot less problems with the qwerty keyboard than i thought i would (fat fingers). i've never owned a touchscreen phone, although i have used them, and i liked pressing the screen rather than just putting my finger to it. i felt that it gave me more control over my typing. with time, i think it will be possible to fly on it.
Thanks for some of the quick tips. Still seeing mixed reviews on the Storm and typing with it. Hopefully it's something I can get used to, then again, I've been clicking away at regular phones so I'm used to.

My friend got this and I got the G1...We tried each others phone out..I don't really like the storm's touch screen. I think I'll stick with my G1.
