I'm sorry to say this but you're wrong, the SUZUKI ESCUDO is not among the 10 fastest cars in GT4, I did a series of tests and the result was : 1- POLYPHONE FORMULA GT , 2 - TOYOTA MINOLTA , 3 - MAZDA 787B , 4 - MERCEDES SAUBER , 5 - NISSAN R92CP , 6 - JAGUAR XJR9 , 7 - NISSAN R89C , 8 - PESCAROLO PLAYSTATION , 9 - AUDI R8 and 10 - BENTLEY SPEED 8 , after these cars had some more until you reach the SUZUKI ESCUDO , he was among the 17 place , Amazingly he was behind the CHEVROLET CAMARO LM .

The Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak certainly isn't the fastest in GT4 in GT2 it was but in GT4 its completely outclassed and it can't go round corners the brakes are shite even on the rally stages its difficult to drive. I think the Jaguar XJR9 is a bit too high on the list as well.
The Formula Gran Tourismo '04 is the quickest in GT4.
When I tested my MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V Racing Car, the top-speed was 376.94 km/h. When I tested my Jag XJR9, the top speed was 369.56 km/h. Your wrong?
I agree with some of the cars like the Audi R8, Toyota GT-one and the Minolta Toyota but rest of them is just good so called "LeManse 24hr race" xD cars good handling etc.

@kmckoy13 I see you haven't tried changing the gear settings if you do so you will see varieties of different speeds. My Suzuki Escudo got 280mph the same speed it got on GT3
Shit, for me, the Escudo would not be on that list, he has no direction and is only starting, the test course he loses, because the others have more top speed, of course without touching the car, the Sauber would have to take second place and the formula gran turismo '04 in 1°
@marko41297 it's based on horsepower with no upgrades. You need to win the other cars, drive them, and compare the speed. You'll see the the escudo is the fastest.

the fastest car in this game is the tuscan speed 12. Trust me. kit it out to the max and lower the down force, you always want to lower the down force when you are doing top speed tests or are on a track with min. turns and mostly straights. You have to adjust your nitrous and time it right so that you are in the little tunnel in the last 50 or so feet maxing out and finishing your nitro. Faster than anything else period.
this is all wrong the group C cars of the 90's where way way faster than the gtone's of 1999-2000 like the 787b the 908 merc-c9 and the r89c and the r92c are almost the same car under the hood this game should have had the 917 the 962 the 917 would have to be the gulf 1 of course and and the 962 would have too be the black team alpha
All of those are fast cars especially of course when you sup them up..But it all comes down to handling, it all depends on the person the feel of the vehicle..The Jaguar for me is one of the best, real good acceleration , breaking is ok..but I am used to it, so I could smoke people with it, because I'm used to the feel, it works for me.

the audi R8 is much faster than the jaguar and the GT One. the minolta is way faster than the jaguar. even a little faster than the sauber. both the minolta and the sauber are faster than the R92CP. and why is the escudo in #1? what about the F1?

This list is entirely wrong, yes the Escudo has the least weight and most horse power, But CHASSIS wise its shit on the tarmac, which is what you should of considered, thats entirely wrong, thats a damn RALLY car, the top 3 fastest cars in the game are actually the Formula Gran Turismo which is not even on the list, The Minolta and the R92CP.
@WarpPal You almost got it right, but the R92CP is overrated. The 5 fastest Le Mans cars in the game are (by order and in terms of the times they have done on the 400 meter test) the Minolta, the R89C, BMW V12 LMR, Sauber Mercedes and Audi R8 (I don't remember if the Jag could fit there since it's also a naturally aspirated V12 and I did this test a long time ago).

Honestly have you even seen a race where these two cars are present, the R92CP usually ALWAYS overtakes the R89, and wheres the Toyota GTONE in this list?? the Sauber would smash every car on that list except the Minolta. @WarpPal Whenever I see a race with both the R92CP and R89C the only time the R92CP overtakes the R89C is if you're at La Sarthe or something, because the R89C top speed is slower. Otherwise they will just stick together. I have seen many races yes. I had all the cars in the game. And the R92CP only beats the R89C due to it's top speed. If you head to GT5 now, you'll see that the R92CP hasn't been overrated like in GT4 and more praise has been given to the R89C (which is smoother, R92CP spins).
@VrOOm1337 ? You cant possibly be right, but Gran Turismo PSP is built on the same engine so I can test your theory there. And you didnt put the Mazda 787B on that list either, that car weighs less than the Minolta AND the Sauber, with about 680HP....AND the Peugeot 905, even less than that car with at least 641. those three I think are the top fastest, I dont know about the Peugeot yet, but that car is by those numbers guaranteed to be on that list.wheelspin shouldnt be a factor here.
@WarpPal Nope. The Mazda is fast but preety sure it doesn't make it in. About the 905, it has a broken transmission so it's actually the slowest of all Le Mans cars I tested (1 second slower then Minolta). I think I am right... I don't think the Mazda weights less then the Minolta. And even if it did, it should be slower anyways because even if it has 700HP the Minolta has 919HP. The Minolta is lighter then most (847kg or so) except the Toyota 7 (600kg) and Peugeot 905 that only weights 750kg.

You wanna talk about weight and horsepower what about the Gillet Vertigo 913 HP with 780 kg, thats higher power to weight than the Minolta, there is something that this car and the Escudo have in common, besides power/weight ratio know what?
@WarpPal The Gillet Vertigo isn't in the same class as Group C/LMP cars. I don't understand what you mean by "690 is enough for that weight". The Escudo is a rally car speficically designed to participate in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb (it's AWD) so it can be excluded. The R390 weights 100kg more then the opposition (1000kg). The CLK GTR is ok. I'm preety sure the Mazda wouldn't sit there, as I made extensive testing.The Mazda is a rotor car, and it was known not for it's speed, but reliability.
@VrOOm1337 I meant exactly what I said, I bet the R8's power to weight is about the same, it has 100 more HP AND 60kg more weight, and since the 787 is lighter than that and the Minolta thats going to give it a speed advantage, there are few cylinders in the rotary engine so that translates to better response, a wide torque curve, less gears, and no lag from the turbos, I remember winning a race with this car, all other GT1 cars present, this car is not as slow as your making it.

@WarpPal Handling is a different thing. Sure yes the GT-ONE and Mazda have wonder handling. You are forgetting the 905 though. Even with it's transmission problems the 750 kilograms really help on turns. And also the Toyota 7 race car (600 kilograms). It might be a disaster on the hands of an A.I, but a good driver will beat any Group C/LMP car with it. It also has incredibly long tyre life.
@VrOOm1337 In the case here, handling and power are the two biggest factors, especially when where talking about lap times, the best measure of how fast any of these cars are. I seen some videos right here on youtube of the 787 and it just confirms what I said, the 787 will smash the toyota 7 and belongs on that list, you really have nothing to hold against the car, this thing hits 200 in less than 10 seconds, just like i said before, that 4 cylinder rotary has a WIDE torque curve, no lag,please

I was talking about 400 meter tests first then you came talking about handling. The Toyota 7 is good in the right hands, extremely good. The tire wear is minimal, and will beat any car on any race that needs pit stops. Sure the 787B has good handling, but so do all the other LMP/Group C cars. Though the GT-ONE does stand out. And what about the V12's?

@WarpPal Any group C/LMP/classic race car has wonderful handling if you can control them period. It's just that some are easier to drive then others. I don't understand what are you talking about HP now? Endurance, the Audi R8, Bentley speed 8, BMW V12, and Pescarolos have advantage there. I believe I already said this, but the Mazda 787B isn't represented correctly in GT4, as in real life it wasn't all that fast. What made it win the '91 24 Hours was the reliability of the Rotor engine.
@WarpPal The fastest car around a track is the Minolta, not only it handles great, but it's 0.2 seconds faster in the 400 meters test. If you are a good driver, the more powerful cars will win, What was our original argument? Oh yeah R89C and R92CP. The R89C is faster (due to gearing...) and produces better laptimes on courses where top speed doesn't matter, this has been proven by extensive testing not only from me, but from all the professional drivers over at gtplanet.

The 787B is BADLY represented in this game, it's not nearly as fast in real life nor does it have such good performance.

All of those are fast cars especially of course when you sup them up..But it all comes down to handling, it all depends on the person the feel of the vehicle..The Jaguar for me is one of the best, real good acceleration , breaking is ok..but I am used to it, so I could smoke people with it, because I'm used to the feel, it works for me.

the audi R8 is much faster than the jaguar and the GT One. the minolta is way faster than the jaguar. even a little faster than the sauber. both the minolta and the sauber are faster than the R92CP. and why is the escudo in #1? what about the F1?

This list is entirely wrong, yes the Escudo has the least weight and most horse power, But CHASSIS wise its shit on the tarmac, which is what you should of considered, thats entirely wrong, thats a damn RALLY car, the top 3 fastest cars in the game are actually the Formula Gran Turismo which is not even on the list, The Minolta and the R92CP.

@WarpPal You almost got it right, but the R92CP is overrated. The 5 fastest Le Mans cars in the game are (by order and in terms of the times they have done on the 400 meter test) the Minolta, the R89C, BMW V12 LMR, Sauber Mercedes and Audi R8 (I don't remember if the Jag could fit there since it's also a naturally aspirated V12 and I did this test a long time ago).

Honestly have you even seen a race where these two cars are present, the R92CP usually ALWAYS overtakes the R89, and wheres the Toyota GTONE in this list?? the Sauber would smash every car on that list except the Minolta. I mean fast by lap times, which is what the cars were designed for, not 400 meter times.

@WarpPal Whenever I see a race with both the R92CP and R89C the only time the R92CP overtakes the R89C is if you're at La Sarthe or something, because the R89C top speed is slower. Otherwise they will just stick together. I have seen many races yes. I had all the cars in the game. And the R92CP only beats the R89C due to it's top speed. If you head to GT5 now, you'll see that the R92CP hasn't been overrated like in GT4 and more praise has been given to the R89C (which is smoother, R92CP spins).

@VrOOm1337 ? You cant possibly be right, but Gran Turismo PSP is built on the same engine so I can test your theory there. And you didnt put the Mazda 787B on that list either, that car weighs less than the Minolta AND the Sauber, with about 680HP....AND the Peugeot 905, even less than that car with at least 641. those three I think are the top fastest, I dont know about the Peugeot yet, but that car is by those numbers guaranteed to be on that list.wheelspin shouldnt be a factor here.

@WarpPal Nope. The Mazda is fast but preety sure it doesn't make it in. About the 905, it has a broken transmission so it's actually the slowest of all Le Mans cars I tested (1 second slower then Minolta). I think I am right... I don't think the Mazda weights less then the Minolta. And even if it did, it should be slower anyways because even if it has 700HP the Minolta has 919HP. The Minolta is lighter then most (847kg or so) except the Toyota 7 (600kg) and Peugeot 905 that only weights 750kg.

@VrOOm1337 The Mazda does weigh less, about 830 kg, and it aint faster than the minolta, but it does belong on that list, it aint THAT slow, its alot faster than the R390 and the CLK GTR last time I checked, besides the Minolta 690 is enough for that weight. You wanna talk about weight and horsepower what about the Gillet Vertigo 913 HP with 780 kg, thats higher power to weight than the Minolta, there is something that this car and the Escudo have in common, besides power/weight ratio know what?

@WarpPal The Gillet Vertigo isn't in the same class as Group C/LMP cars. I don't understand what you mean by "690 is enough for that weight". The Escudo is a rally car speficically designed to participate in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb (it's AWD) so it can be excluded. The R390 weights 100kg more then the opposition (1000kg). The CLK GTR is ok. I'm preety sure the Mazda wouldn't sit there, as I made extensive testing.The Mazda is a rotor car, and it was known not for it's speed, but reliability.

@VrOOm1337 I meant exactly what I said, I bet the R8's power to weight is about the same, it has 100 more HP AND 60kg more weight, and since the 787 is lighter than that and the Minolta thats going to give it a speed advantage, there are few cylinders in the rotary engine so that translates to better response, a wide torque curve, less gears, and no lag from the turbos, I remember winning a race with this car, all other GT1 cars present, this car is not as slow as your making it.

@WarpPal Handling is a different thing. Sure yes the GT-ONE and Mazda have wonder handling. You are forgetting the 905 though. Even with it's transmission problems the 750 kilograms really help on turns. And also the Toyota 7 race car (600 kilograms). It might be a disaster on the hands of an A.I, but a good driver will beat any Group C/LMP car with it. It also has incredibly long tyre life.

@VrOOm1337 In the case here, handling and power are the two biggest factors, especially when where talking about lap times, the best measure of how fast any of these cars are. I seen some videos right here on youtube of the 787 and it just confirms what I said, the 787 will smash the toyota 7 and belongs on that list, you really have nothing to hold against the car, this thing hits 200 in less than 10 seconds, just like i said before, that 4 cylinder rotary has a WIDE torque curve, no lag,please

@WarpPal Are you ignoring what I am saying? I never said the Toyota 7 is better then the 787B speed-wise. The 787B does not belong on the list. I was talking about 400 meter tests first then you came talking about handling. The Toyota 7 is good in the right hands, extremely good. The tire wear is minimal, and will beat any car on any race that needs pit stops. Sure the 787B has good handling, but so do all the other LMP/Group C cars. Though the GT-ONE does stand out. And what about the V12's?

@VrOOm1337 Im not concerned about 400 meter tests bud, because that is a 1 sided way of testing how fast these cars are, excuse if I misinterpreted your point. The Toyota 7 is fast and has high endurance, but NOT faster than any newer cars in its class, which was MY point, AND its more unstable at high speed, the usual problem with old race cars. Most GT1 cars in Gran Turismo gain about 100 HP after you buy them, the 787's stock HP is 690, the GTONE's is 599...really??

@WarpPal Any group C/LMP/classic race car has wonderful handling if you can control them period. It's just that some are easier to drive then others. I don't understand what are you talking about HP now? Endurance, the Audi R8, Bentley speed 8, BMW V12, and Pescarolos have advantage there. I believe I already said this, but the Mazda 787B isn't represented correctly in GT4, as in real life it wasn't all that fast. What made it win the '91 24 Hours was the reliability of the Rotor engine.

@WarpPal The fastest car around a track is the Minolta, not only it handles great, but it's 0.2 seconds faster in the 400 meters test. If you are a good driver, the more powerful cars will win, What was our original argument? Oh yeah R89C and R92CP. The R89C is faster (due to gearing...) and produces better laptimes on courses where top speed doesn't matter, this has been proven by extensive testing not only from me, but from all the professional drivers over at gtplanet.

@WarpPal Maybe because the 787B is the easiest to drive? Cars like the R92CP are not that easy to drive if you are throttle happy, while on the Mazda it's just floor it really. Same with GT-ONE.

@VrOOm1337 easy to drive, in what world??? the throttle is that last thing you consider when using this car, ESPECIALLY since the R92CP has MORE horsepower, allot more. no GT1 car is easy to drive. The R92CP has larger brakes and gobs of downforce that keep it stable at high speed, and it which is what sets it apart from the R89C and the 787, which came out 2 years prior If any cars easy to drive its THAT shit

@WarpPal Lmao. The R92CP has much more torque then that pish easy to drive 787B. One bit too much and you'll be spinning out. Or, do you use aids? Lol. I find them all easy to drive because I play GT4 since release therefore I'm used to all of them. No the R92CP is not better then the R89C, I don't care if it's a sucessor or not. The 787B is BADLY represented in this game, it's not nearly as fast in real life nor does it have such good performance.
