Well yes, but I am not going to say yet. I want to confirm that you and I are seeing the same thing. Was the flash source from the ground? Did you see any rotation in the afterglow of the flash? About how far away from the source would you say it was from your position?

@TheAppalachianMan Oh one more question. What is over there where the light comes from? forest/field/houses? Sorry for all the questions. I am a scientist and I don't want to influence your answers. I will give you a log of everything I know from 3 years of observations.

I have been seeing a similar flashing light for three years now, fall of 2006, fall of 2008 and fall of this year. It is always in the same place except once. Could you actually see the light or just the glow? Could you see that the glow goes circular from left to right? look for it again next year at the around same date.

I couldnt see the light source, just the flashes. I have no idea what is was. Any Guesses??

- All that is over there, is Industrial zone, and the 126 Highway. I would think it could come from the mills in the industrial zone, but I've never seen it before, NOR since. - It could be someone WELDING at night, but very unlikely.
