@gainpro Well I can say I'm pretty satisfied with the fact that I wasn't aware of the "proper name" of such gesture. Grandaddy makes great music, but that doesn't make them cool individuals. I don't know why you're calling me a tool. I was just commenting about the video. But I'm assuming you are used to being "short" of most people's expectations with a username like that.
@cbebop2411 >using numbers in username do to the inability to be creative + talks down on other users for a "short?"(bad? (confused about the meaning?)) username + questions why he is being called a tool + being proud of not knowing a history of a genre just because he doesn't like it = tool
lemme guess, if i told you about the Holocaust in WWII, your just gonna say it didn't happen, and then be proud that you weren't aware of it, because it would make your nazi friends look bad, right?
@gainpro the history of metal is far less important than the holocaust, and trying to compare them is far from reasonable. but maybe that was you trying to prove how creative you are and how, since i use numbers in my name, uncreative i am. i don't care about the history metal, i was merely commenting upon the use of the "devil horns". if you can't handle others opinions without blowing a load, please get help
@quicksaund He's not trying to be Jimmy Hendrix. It just wouldn't sound right if he started playing some kind of crazy solo. He did what fit with the song. So, I guess, fwoosh!.
For some reason I keep thinking they should have used a Grandaddy song for one of the recent Fallout games.... Like even just a riff or piano track, would have fit in so well somewhere.
The singer's comment to the crowd is EMBARRASSING! I dislike lame audiences, but lame jokes are even worse. He shouldn't have blamed the crowd for not laughing. Great song, though.
man i love the part in 28 days later when the group was shopping in the abandon grocery store. lol that the part where the girl's dad took all the wine and leave a credit card when they leave the store lol XD
I first saw these guys on Later . . . with Jools Holland when I DVR'd an episode ('cause I have no life). Right after that I searched YouTube for a video. Needless to say, they're pretty good for an indie-band. And this is a pretty solid performance.
Well, they were on there twice. Which one did you record? The one where they performed Now It's On? That one was my first. (As if we're discussing . . . crocheting competitions or "first times" (like there's a difference).)
hehe ^^ im sure "Now its on" was the first time i heard them. at first i was like "WTF why are they dressed as rednecks?" then i didnt care cuz it was awesome...... kind of an understatement haha.
Can anyone give this band the recognition they deserve,He said that cause so many people think thats what this song is, a Strokes cover, its pitiful. This band was before them and before the 28 days later movie too.
duh, fuckin zombies DO starve to death if they don't get any flesh and/or brains! and stupidstupidyoume, it is a zombie film... it was just tastefully done.
LMAO too funny! Why do people always say this is a zombie movie? Teh people in the movie are infected with "Rage" a vuirus that causes primal aggression kinda like in Stephen King's "The Cell" They are not zombies because zombies are the dead arisen. these are just normal people reduced to their primal rage.
I know, these people don't have a clue about the movie if they think they are zombies. A zombie is a re-animated corpse that was brought back from the dead. In the movie... They are indeed infected.
You can really say that a zombie is both a human being who has died and become re-animated, or a human being who has lost all rational thinking and has no capacity for self-preservation, and are driven by first-instinct reactions, not to mention the simplest instinct; the instinct to kill.
28 Days Later really re-invented the zombie-horror genre.
This is the umpteenth time I've listened to this recording and I feel like I'm still 'finding' stuff, like the clear emphasis on "here", as in -they- really did not want to be -there-.
But I can understand the angst at the beginning of this song. Imagine you are in a mellowish band adn you're about to play one of your most rockingest songs and the crowd is already asleep and thus going to miss it. It is a helpless, disconnected feeling.
I couldn't agree more, it feels good to know that the audience is soaking up whatever message you are trying to convey. These people look 30'ish and drunk. Maybe this is some sort of boring promo concert? Personally I think this set is too big for this band, indie bands feel better in a smaller, more personal setting. Just my opinion though.
