  • LOL love it

  • 1:28-1:31

"I'll have you know I look horrible in a dress."

  • Sometimes I just want to go out and find something to aggravate my depression.

  • Written, of course, by Stephen Fry, national treasure.

  • You can't help but adore Marvin the robot. It is too cute and adorable.

  • twould be great if in the end marvin said "i think you ought to know im feeling very depressed!" lol

  • @NarakusPheonix I know he was in the movie, actual quite pleased by that, and glad that you took an interest not only in the TV show, and that you reply to my comment, still old marvin would be better in these songs, being so deppressed.

  • @BrainsSmurf101

Lol; you said it. New Marvin is just easier to draw, especially when all you have is WMM and MSPaint at your hands. I have another Marvin animation somewhere in my archive, titled "Metal Man," if you're interested.

  • @NarakusPhoenix

wow you are very talented. I am somewhat embarassed to say this but I was surprised to that a girl did this. My bad. Can't wait to see your other video.

  • ...does anyone here know what the original marvin looked like? the one that was used for the cover of these CDs. new marvin doesnt fit it, he is just pessimistic, the original was starkly deppressed, even say, "Do you want me to fall apart where im standing, or go rust in the corner" you need to see the old show, look at Lainies! channel

  • @BrainsSmurf101

Yes; he's in the new Marvin's thought bubble at 1:06. Also, if you look carefully, in the movie when the boys go to save Trillian from the Vogons you can see the original Marvin standing in line.

  • @NarakusPhoenix I noticed that.I was watching it on my ipod ttouch with head phones in.I screamed IT'S OLD MARVIN!!!That was on a plane.A lot of people stared at me but i didn't give a damn lol

  • Marvin is my favorite robot of all time.

  • He was never voiced by Stephen Fry. Alan Rickman played him in the movie. Stephen Fry played the Book.

  • fantastic, I've never heard the original I love it!

  • This is NOT Stephen Fry's voice.

This is Stephen MOORE's. I have explained this before.

For the radio series, TV show and this single this voice was Stephen More. He was voiced by Stephen Fry in the Film and the rerelease of the single, but this is the original version, which is NOT Stephen Fry.

  • Hmm, on reflection I can't find my previous comment so maybe I posted that somewhere else... but my point still stands.

  • Whoops again, I did. My old account was 09n.

You say I solved the mystery.... then ignored me?

  • @Crusader1089

    Don't you mean Alan Rickman?

  • Yes. I was rather blinded by rage when I wrote that and forgot Alan Rickman. I was correct originally.

  • Ah, I see the mistake.

    Happens to me too.

  • I was feeling rather depressed then I saw this. Its rubbish..... just joking its grate love it 5/5 XD

  • Lol; thank you! I have another Marvin animation, too, if you're interested, titled "Metal Man."

  • well now you know XD

  • i like the use windows colours on the square for the "unload my brain" part :L

  • Yes! I was wondering if anybody noticed that.

  • this was good

  • is there anywhere i can downlode this song for my ipod?

  • I don't remember the exact site I found it on, but if you google it several sites have a free MP3 download.

  • I like the remixed version that I have much more.

  • Clarification?

  • I luffs Marvin. I just want to attach myself to his head and give him a hug!

    xD

  • no way,he would hate it

  • I'd rather say he would be quite depressed...

  • Cool video.

  • This was like the first video I ever watched when I made my shitty account.

And yes, Marvin needs more cuddlies.

  • Rocky Horror is the best musical ever.

  • . . . Wow, I REALLY didn't expect Rocky to start singing there at the end. xD What a wonderful song. 8D

  • Comment removed

  • And the original radio series whilst also playing other minor roles.

  • Actually, this song IS by Stephen Fry.

  • It's been bloody changed by the channel owner since I left that remark ! That's a bit sneaky.

Looks like I'd better remove my comment !

  • Actually, the remake is by Stephen Fry. This is Stephen Moore.

  • I like alot more the old BBC show Marvin better.

  • I apologize terribly for the mangled abomination of a sentence you have just read.

  • You are forgive due to the comedic value that has been credited to our bank accounts.

  • grat video 5/5

  • After reading your bio why did you chose to direct or post this?

    Good job by the way

  • i love hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy and marvin is awesome.

  • The pictures were good, thats how marvin should look. Everyone loves marvin.

  • WE LOVE YOU MARVIN

  • LOLOLOL

The "driving me insane" part especially.

  • Steven Moore recorded the original, Alan Rickman voiced Marvin in the film, Steven Fry voiced Marvin in the re-release of this song in 2005.

  • thank you for solving the mystery. @___@ it was beginning to make me dizzy. ^.^

  • stephen moore

  • *We appologise for the inconvenience*

    anyone get that......no?

  • Yeah, just finished that book last night :O)

Time to start the 5th one now.

  • Are you sure this is Stephen Fry? It sounds more like Stephen Moore to me.

  • i'm not all that sure, to tell you the truth. i had someone comment that that was who it was.

  • According to IMDB it is the imcomparibly sexy voice of Alan Rickman.

  • I'm fairly sure that it's not Alan Rickman.

  • Sorry, I was wrong. The original 1981 song was spoken/sung by Stephen Moore, re-recorded 2005 by Stephen Fry. Alan Rickman was Marvin's voice in the 2005 movie.

  • I know. It just doesn't sound like Stephen Fry to me. Having listened to the Radio series several times over, I recognise Moore's voice and Fry's is definitely more light. I don't know if it's Fry mimicking Moore, however, I think I can say with some certainty that it's rather obviously not Rickman, lovely as he is.

  • This is the original version.

  • lol, brill, i love it, i have the 7inch single from 1981!! this is a great attempt at a vid for it, thanks

  • This is one of the creepiest, awesomest songs I've listened to. I can really feel the depression.

I love your animation. It's sinple, but it gets the point across. My favorite part in the song is right from 0:46 to 1:02 and my favorite part in the animation is from 0:29 to 0:32. Nice.

  • Oh, poor Marvin! He's by far my favorite character in Douglas Adams' whole series. This song's cool! I like his rock n' roll (2:12).

  • lol at the Don't Panic on the book at 0:51

Yes, everyone lol. Do my evil bidding.

  • eheheheh love it

  • Where the fuck are you all coming from?! I'M A GIRL!!! STOP SENDING ME THIS CRAP!

  • Spamers?

  • What?

  • I was wondering if the reason that you where mad was cus of people wrigthing spam in the comment section.

  • Yeah, I can't stand it when people do that. I mean, there are other places to advertise crap like dating sites and slut vids. I didn't post any of my videos for that. I'm sure several others feel the same way.

  • Hate them!

    I remove all those things.

  • I give Marvin himself 9 billion stars :D

  • and Douglas Adams another 1000000000000000000 billion, may he rest in peace.

  • human robots are in-human robots are in-

    human robots are inhuman

    I love it

  • I give you 5 stars.

  • you should upload some more Marvin songs

  • This song may do a slightly better job capturing Marvin's character than Stephen Fry's version. Both great songs, though.

  • YAY FOR TEH MARVIN!

  • Were did you get this song?

  • I don't quite remember. I just sort of googled it. You could probably get it off esnips though.

  • Robot Lad is a calculator XD I love this it's brill and you din't use the new song! I LOVE the Disneyland refrence XD If I could I would give bothe Marvins a BIIIIIIG hug.

nicely animated. Douglas Adams would be proude ^-^

  • Luv this song!

    Realy good animation too!

  • Thankyou! It was my first shot with any kind of animation and I'm glad someone thought it came out good. Thanks for commenting.
