  • hey my savannah is about a fot or fot and half long how long do i have to wait to feed her regularm mice and is it ok to leave her out of the tank all day

  • also, i am pretty positive I got my lizard and she is blind... the iris is blue and usually that means blind. she doesnt see anything infront of her.. so i guess its a dumb statement because its obvious but someone told me sand makes them blind? theyre from the desert..so.. How do I get her back skinny? Vet said they have to do x-rays cause it may be eggs she didnt pass and that it would cost me 500. this was yesterday. I may have to just give her away to someone who can afford that..

  • great videos. i was thinking on getting a savanah monitor. on one of your videos you had one of your monitors in a 4x3x3. how long will that do him? and if i got a baby monitor, what would be the minimum size tank i could keep it in (in feet). thanks.

  • Good to hear your well!! & good luck:)

  • HEY MAN!! I have a nile monitor lizard that I'm about to trade for 2 savannah monitors, my nile is justtoo agressive i tried every thing but he still bites me. i think outta of the 9 months I had him...he's bitten over 20 times, but my question to you is,Can I keep the 2 savannah monitors babies together until they get a little older?

  • ive noticed alot of savannah owners feed their monitors ground turkey and hardboiled eggs as well as gizzards and similar food items. what is your take on this?

  • @sithcdw You can feed them that but I would only feed your sava 1 egg a month and as for the gizzards and heart once a week and the turkey is fine but they still need there regular diet like insects and rodents. Sava's need protein and calcium from rodents so you don't want to take that out of there diet. When they are babies they should only be feed the proper diet insects and rodents.

  • man you say question alot lol

  • @maximiliaan1995 I noticed that lol

  • Thanks man your vids helped alot when i got mine i have had it for a few weeks now doing great in a 55 right now will be moving it into a 12 feet long by 5 by 5 later.

  • @TheFish8431 hey you dont want to be putting him in something that big till hes pretty big... as he said savannah monitor gets stressed easy... putting them in something that big when hes only 2 feet or less may stress him out

  • @taylorscan Yes thank you i will not be putting him in there tell he is much bigger.

  • @taylorscan And he also said to put it in as large a tank as availuable and I dont savs are in enclosed areas in nature. Recreate the natural envirment as best you can and you'll be sucessful.... minus the predators :P I've never owned a sav so I dont mean to sound like Im so high and mighty :)

  • I have a question for you about my Sav. I fed it a fuzzy yesterday and since he ate he has come out of his hide twice and has spent the rest of his time in his hide. Is this normal? I was going to lift up his hide to check on him but i was told its not good to move the hide since it is his only since of security.

  • Thanks again for the videos! They helped me and my sav out a lot when I first got him. He's a little over a year old and getting pretty close to 2 feet and amazingly tame....sleeps on my chest while I watch tv.

  • Hey you're back! Great vid and welcome back man.

  • Great to see a video man its been awhile

    Chris.
