During this time period, I can only compare Mike Bordin to Dale Crover. I don't know what happened after Angel Dust, but every FNM album since then lacked the SICK drum rhythms that help made Bordin one of my favorite drummers.
I agree that this had some of Bordins best tribal drums. But KFAD had some nice rhythyms as well. Cuckoo for Caca, Get Out, Gentle Art, Star AD, Ugly in the Morning & Digging the Grave come to mind.

The guy who pours water on Mike Bordin at 1:30 looks like Dean Meanta, probably just a coincidence though and not actually him.
Would love it FNM came to Australia late this year or sometime next year.

So abstract, yet so bloody catchy.
Very much the core of the flavour of Angel Dust overall. An album that I still feel is perhaps the best Ive heard.
I agree that they shoulda played it more often.
(It mustve been the trying to bring in a broader audience thing, as they managed to stick Easy in all the time.)
Its a work of inspired genius as a track and on every instrument involved...
One of the few that Jim Martin wrote/co-wrote with Bill Gould too, apparently.

Yep, and the odds of another Grunge-esque/Metal/FNM-ish/Industrial revival is not looking likely right now...
