Personally, I use a GoPro Hero. I just start it whenever I get in the car. Plus I made a little gadget that attaches to the front of the case to covet the speedometer as well as out the windshield. I got a beamsplitter from Edmund. Works great.

Scam artists are not retarded. A huge number of car owners in Russia own dash cams. If they would just bust into random people like that, they wouldn't gain any money, they'd probably lose it.

It's only recently with insurance scams, that more people are buying them, but it's still like 1% of all cars in NA. There are more cars with radar/laser detectors than dash cams.
