Yeah, you can feel the sadness that Spyro and Cynder must be facing, since Ignitus is dead and the world is on the brink of destruction. Surely, they undoubtedly felt that the situation seemed hopeless and wondered if they would ever be able to stop Malefor's evil and save their world and all of its inhabitants.

Gahhhh! This game just pinches at my heart! You can just feel the uncertainty spyro and cynder are feeling, especially after the loss of Ignitus. When you see the Destroyer in the background climbing you can feel a sense of hopelessness. :')

I know, I write stories of Spyro and Cynder, play the games, draw them, and even found them as a part of my soul. This one though, may be shorter than other games, but has the most impactful storyline and soundtrack. I admit I'm someone with little emotions and hasn't cried in almost four years... last time I did I just finished DotD...

@HiddenDrag0n99 I'm not someone known for his emotions either but hearing Guide You Home and This Broken Soul makes me feel like I'm about to tear up (the latter especially). And yeah, DotD is pretty sad. Kinda makes sense, since the world's on the brink of destruction and Spyro and Cynder would have to make some big sacrifices to save it.

The name IS made up, The Destiny of Spyro is a fan-made game created by a friend of mine, but coolbuddy was being stubborn and doesn't believe it instead of looking it up himself.

The REAL Spyro game is said to be released sometime this year.

If Spyro was made this way in this decade and didn't exist in the 90s, then in 2010, Insomniac got it and made the "new" games which are basically the PS1 games, would you hate it then? Probably, because you grew up with it. Why hate the change solely for being change?

@vgman94 Dawn of the dragon got rid of the sole basis of Spyro which was platforming they switched genres I didn't grow up with Spyro, I didn't start playing until a couple of years back the original ones were fantastic but once Insomniac games sold the rights I couldn't stand the story nor the game play. Just my opinion I don't agree that I would like it back in the 90s, I don't really like pure action games I like platforming and exploring.

@LACHand Platforming is simply jumping at it's core. That is too simple a basis to stand on these days. The only one who pulled it off was Mario. How could you even stand Spyro 1 or 3's story? No offense, but to me, YOTD's story with the sorceress sounded similar to a Disney thing, and the story with 1 just felt like they didn't even make one. AHT has some intricacies in it's stories and LOS has a deep story with a deep combat system. And LOS (DOTD) still does have platforming & exploration.

The movie unfortunately has been cancelled by Activision, Snarry, which is why we haven't heard anything or seen any commercials. Activision is planning on taking the Spyro series in a different direction.

The music in Dawn of the Dragon is simply beautiful, powerful, inspirational. It has so much emotion, it makes you feel all sorts of things. If the music is calm, you feel calm. If the music is sad, you feel sad. If the music is scary, it makes you feel scared. If the music is full of suspense, then you will be filled with suspense too. I just love the music in DotD, and I love the game itself too. Thank you for putting the DotD soundtrack music up, KlonoaAura!

Imdb hardly updates their movies on the dot. It's been confirmed by the writers of the Spyro Movie, that it's been cancelled since 2009. On darkspyro, there's a news section that has the writer's quote and confirmation of the cancelled.

Rebecca Kneubuhl and Gabriel Mann. They both composed the soundtrack for A New Beginning, The Eternal Night, and Dawn of the Dragon. Too bad, they're not returning to compose the soundtrack for the next game, because of Activision.
