  • A big "Thank You" to everyone who did some translations here. I really do appreciate your effort!!! :)

  • sometimes i feel like he's trying to be sooooo deep and come up with really far-fetched allegories... like the carrot and the woman's breast.. a bit like Ari Behn?

  • Can someone out there please translate this interview, Morten has a wonderful smile as always but I would like to hear what he has to say as I find he makes a lot of sense and I can relate to it.

  • Mesmerising...Morten I watched you and the boys at a phenomenal concert in Brighton AND Wembley, part of the 'Ending on a High Note tour.". I will never forget you.

I caught your eye in Brighton and am determined to meet you again.

Will you be performing solo? x

  • cont

M: That was before others new we had got together.

S: To be a star, when did you first know you were going to be a star?

M: It was early, it was a few years before. I was 17 I believe when I first knew it.

(got a bit tired doing this but I will give it another go another time if Spetwols1 hasnt beaten me too it. hope you enjoyed) :)

  • @JennyandTonyandRoo And huge thanks to you too, for the translation! *bows*

  • Cont.

M: I thought it was exciting...

S: But how was it, that attention, how did people react?

M: There was a lot of strange things, often, I remember Japanese who had to stop you and had to take pictures, just encase it was something important. So, yeah, I went past a couple of Rastafarian's one time on the Kings Road, who were "smoking" in a door way, so I went past and then heard one of them say, "Is it a bird, is it a plane?"

S: So that was before you knew there was a "Morten Harket"?

  • M: With a wool top, and something on my legs, I cant remember.

    S: and with a top?

M: Ja. And masculine leotard tights, yes I did that. It was right then, so I went around and felt things, experienced things things our there I just experienced things, I mean things around me, out there. Just experienced being and feeling things. I knew of course that I stood a little bit out from the ordinary street image. Equally there was the hair, so it was good times! But I liked to have the attention...

  • cont.

S:Yeah but there were the ripped jeans and...

M: There were things that I have done earlier that I maybe would have done differently or chosen differently today. Not least with clothes of course. When we went over to London in the beginning in 1983, I went around town in the streets in London in leotard... er yeah, tights! And then you can't wear ordinary pants under them either, then you must have ordinary...well you must kind of go "All the way".

So I went around like that..

  • This is from where the test is missing.

M: Yes, I have a problem with remembering I believe, so I would like to have turned on more memories that ive turned off. But Im not really one to go around regretting things I have done. But if someone in the media asks me on what makes you stand out? its kind of "Thats what we do" in a way.

S: Yes, but i ask you lest we forget

M: oh yeah that was it.

S: So I think about that you have been for example a style icon

    M: Yes, it was, but

    S: Yeah but there

  • Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo overwhelming!

  • where is part 2 ?

  • @HadiSrour Sorry, coming soon. I have uploaded a lot of the ending on a high note dvd now, but soon finnish.. ;)

  • ohhh what happened with the rest of the translation???...pitty!
