Nooo offense but i kinda liked the guy's smooth dark tone.

Not that the girl soloist did bad, it was the fact it sounded to bright.

My son just called. He made all district and qualified for all state. He is a junior in H.S., a freshman in college & will have his Associates degree a week before he graduates high school. He has done all this while his dad and I both lost our jobs and our home and his little brother was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome with a large aortic anuerism, etc. He received an invitation for really bright kids to go to Australia this summer, but it cost too much. The soloists names are Caleb Hoffman and Kayleigh Greenwood, they both graduated from Kearney High School in 2011.

@trevanismith ....let me guess....you have perfect pitch? Cause these kids had to audition against at least 70 others to get the solos that they got, they obviously weren't too terrible if they were the ones who were selected to sing the solos out of the entire auditioned choir.

@trevanismith Hmmm...well I would say that the entire essence of a solo IS to shine above the choir & orchestra and as to the "key", we as human beings are never on key, but they did a great job.
