i remember that this game was on a sunday and i was at church for the most part of it. i was hoping that the knicks would be able to pull it out. i was highly disappointed to get home and turn on the game in the 4th quartet only to discover that it was a fuckin blowout. lol

If you watched some of the games between the Bulls and Knicks in the 1996 playoffs you'll see there was some serious bad blood, it wasn't just in 1993. Oakley was taking swings at anyone wearing red, he even took shots at the Bulls as they were walking into the locker room and yelled at assistant coach Jim Cleamons (in 1996). Watch the OT game in '96 where Jordan scored 46. Oakley goes nuts.

I totally forgot what REAL basketball was like. I'm so split inside about seeing this. It makes me happy and sad at the same time. It makes you realize what a sad circus today's league has become and it makes me feel old hearing these delusional kids comparing their favourites with old basketball greats.

Watching this game just reminds me why I LAUGH at these stupid ass kids today who make ignorant comments like: "kobe takes harder shots because he shoots more jumpers".
Posting up & taking it to the paint in order to get BETTER shots IS NOT EASIER because there's MORE defensive resistance there, which is WHY kobe's consistently AVOIDED doing this for his career.
Doing this has caused him to over rely on jumpers, which consistently only yields for him a 44-45% career mark..

I think David Robinson said it best on one of the Jordan videos. He said that Jordan seemed to have a little magic with him and that is why it is so exciting and just plain fun to watch Jordan play. I completely agree. It wasn't just MJ though,but the whole cast of characters around him. I haven't watched basketball since the Bulls were ripped apart after the 1998 Finals. From what I have seen and read it seems like the NBA has become like one of those very bad remakes of a classic movie. PEACE

This was a classic MJ performance. I have no idea why the pinheads at NBA TV don't show it. Its always Game 6 in Utah or some regular season game from the 1980's. This was Jordan at the height of his powers.
