This is NOT racing, It IS exhibition driving. By navigating curves like that, the driver is taking the vehicles handling and traction abilities to the edge. Drivers are human and make mistakes like ALL humans make mistakes. Yes, even you naysayers. A small fraction of an inch in spacial awareness and/or alignment and judgement and a small fraction of a second in timing can make the different between success and a crash. Many of you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
