  • Theres no reason to assume jerry reproduces a-sexual, there species gestation could last a longer time then humans. He could have been preggers when he hit the rock. Theres also no way to tell how long theve been on the rock. From the humans beard growth i would say five months at the least, to 5 years, based on there skill of each others language.

  • the way Jerry says Zammis @ 0:48 always never fails to crack me up. everytime i see it i either smile or laugh. who here agrees?

  • This story is set in 2092 but Davidge's female relatives still have traditonal female jobs like waitress and house wife. Couldn't they have said his mother worked in HR at a robot butler factory or something?

  • noooo that creature is back *horror music is heard*

  • "Zamis... is coming"

    "Oh God..."

    Haha! Perfect cutoff point.

  • Wow all trees on this planet lack root systems

  • The "lineage" scene is so moving

  • it is male and female (parthenogenic) they dont have sex they reproduce by them selves like plants

  • Not like plants, plants still need pollenation, this is more like single cellular organizms like amieba.

"Jerry" represents the very first creatures to ever exist according to Earth time, which makes his civilization probably billions of years older than Humans.

  • @wetotheetotheztotheo

some reptiles can reproduce asexually as well

    Whiptail Lizards are one

  • eww how can dat thing ve pregnant wen its nt even a girl

  • @damnote Really? Because I swear it was Minnesota.

  • @AKnightWhoSaysNe It supports life. That is rare. They are lucky.

  • So his race is asexual?

  • More like parthenogenic. There are reptiles that can reproduce this way: female komodo dragons, for example, don't always have to mate to product offspring.

The offspring they produce aren't clones, either. Females can produce males, so there's enough genetic shuffling in the process to produce unique individuals.

  • Yes. They breed through parthenogenesis. Some reptiles, and insects can breed this way.

  • i love this movie !! i think its cute i exspecially love jerri!

  • OH GOD!

    9:56
