If you have the possibility (via Midi) turn your Microkorg to 129,6Bpm and it sounds like the original.

  • There is no way you could obtain bass as rich and as flavoursome as flat beat without using analog equipment. that is all

  • i came for Amnesia - Hysteria grrr

  • your cat is awsome big up for mista kitty

  • good sound

  • presets are the enemy

  • what kind of cardboard did you use in the begging, it appears to be corrugated, am i correct?

  • thats so sick

i want a KORG so bad, thanks for the upload man

  • Hello ! what do you think about my music ? thank you !

  • is the official name of this product micro korg vocoder because im goin to bid 4 one on ebay but it sez vocoder at the end. is it the same thing?

  • LoL n_n

  • : D

    bring flat eric back

  • that is not correct

you need to fix that vid

  • @fixtable FIX YOUR LIFE

  • sounds nothing like it.

  • can i get these same sounds on the mircokorg xl?

  • @jspec1594 nope

should have gotten the more versatile Microkorg

  • what kind of camera are you using?

  • this is a steaming pile of poop

  • waste of time

  • thanks for being g4y!

  • tout pourri

  • Sounds even nicer when you're opening and closing a filter.

  • cool thx, cool cat btw

  • yea, a bit of sinusoidal LFO, then some nicely-controlled PORTAMENTO (or glide) should do just fine-----all on a Roland SH-09, that is (if you want that gritty, fat-nasty sound)

  • you figured out how to use your lfo yet?

  • OCH LAWLD!

  • The real base is made on a ms-20 , so i theory the Microkorg would do great as it is a littlebrother to the ms-2000.

  • it's almost the same engine. little more tweaks and adsr manipulations and it would be neaaar!

  • thanks dude.

  • haha the cat

  • hahahhaa i love that:D

  • what kind of video camera did you use to record this video?

    looks awesome

  • just a regular panasonic camcorder, but with a DIY lens adapter and a old minolta SLR lens :)

    thanks by the way

  • THANKYOU!!!!!

  • why didnt you just use preset B43? and it sounds better if you set filter envelope's attack and release than amplifier envelope's

  • does anyone know what microKorg editor changes that can give that fade at the end?

  • haha korrekt

  • lol great

  • hmmm that sounded not exactly like it. The original Bass was made on an Korg MS20. It's impossible to emulate the Korg MS Filter on the Micro. The wobbling you hear at the end is not played by pressing the key down. Instead Mr Oizo adjusted the LFO Rate (LFO modulates the Filter) by Hand. Anyway...i like the Micro too :)

  • i know.. but it's pretty close. Also every note has a slight fade and the end, and this is kind of hard to emulate too, i used to do this by hand, but i'm sure theres a way to program it.

The micro is great! Combined with my kaossilator and acoustic drums i make some music in my studio! funky.

  • You could use a virtual patch to manually modulate the LFO using the mod wheel for the last couple of notes... this would be closer to the original than repeatedly pressing the keys.

If I recall, Mr. Oizo sampled the M20 (and a distorted tr606), and sequenced them to create flat beat. So the wobbling LFO at the end of the loop needed only to be sampled once.

  • What do you mean by adjusting the LFO rate?

  • Hi! Sry for my english. ;) I mean LFO-Speed. The LFO modulates the Filter Cutoff. When you set the Intensity (how strong the LFO modulates the Filter) to a high Level the LFO opens and closes the Filter. With a little Bit of Resonance turned up you get this wobbling Sound. Now you can adjust the Speed of the Wobble with the LFO Knob. You can hear that often in Dubstep Tracks where the Bass is modulated that way.

  • Of course the Microkorg (as nearly every other Synth) can do that too. Under the EditSelect 2-Section there are 4 Patch Matrixes. Here you can route different Mod Sources to Destinations you like. Under the EditSelect 1-Section you can find the LFO Settings. (LFO-Wave, Intensity, Speed...)

  • thanks man, I'm trying it when I have some time!

  • @lordoid

could you make a video tutorial how to make the flatbeat bass with vst korg ms20?

  • thanks!!!

  • NICE TUTO !

    Excellant track !
