Nice, but here is my Wobble: A.52 / OSC1: knop1=di9 knop3=12 / ModFX: knop1=FL9 knop2=0 knop3=100 / Patch 3: knop1=LF.1 knop2=Cut knop3=-40 / LFO1: knop2=Ein knop3=on knop4=1.8 on a´ 3,16 on c´ back to 1.4 on a´ and finaly on b 1.8 turn up to 1.16
If you have the possibility (via Midi) turn your Microkorg to 129,6Bpm and it sounds like the original.
...hi, can I use the keyboard to play sounds on the microkorg? I know that the keys are smaller than normal, but I want to be able to play the sounds inside the synthesizer part. Can the keyboard do that?
Also, can the microphone be detached from the microkorg so that I can store it in the closet when I am not using it? I need it to go on the top shelf in the closet. Can I do that?
Lastly, do the knobs on the synth part rotate in both directions? I need to be able to go both ways.
yea, a bit of sinusoidal LFO, then some nicely-controlled PORTAMENTO (or glide) should do just fine-----all on a Roland SH-09, that is (if you want that gritty, fat-nasty sound)
hmmm that sounded not exactly like it. The original Bass was made on an Korg MS20. It's impossible to emulate the Korg MS Filter on the Micro. The wobbling you hear at the end is not played by pressing the key down. Instead Mr Oizo adjusted the LFO Rate (LFO modulates the Filter) by Hand. Anyway...i like the Micro too :)
i know.. but it's pretty close. Also every note has a slight fade and the end, and this is kind of hard to emulate too, i used to do this by hand, but i'm sure theres a way to program it.
The micro is great! Combined with my kaossilator and acoustic drums i make some music in my studio! funky.
You could use a virtual patch to manually modulate the LFO using the mod wheel for the last couple of notes... this would be closer to the original than repeatedly pressing the keys.
If I recall, Mr. Oizo sampled the M20 (and a distorted tr606), and sequenced them to create flat beat. So the wobbling LFO at the end of the loop needed only to be sampled once.
Hi! Sry for my english. ;) I mean LFO-Speed. The LFO modulates the Filter Cutoff. When you set the Intensity (how strong the LFO modulates the Filter) to a high Level the LFO opens and closes the Filter. With a little Bit of Resonance turned up you get this wobbling Sound. Now you can adjust the Speed of the Wobble with the LFO Knob. You can hear that often in Dubstep Tracks where the Bass is modulated that way.
Of course the Microkorg (as nearly every other Synth) can do that too. Under the EditSelect 2-Section there are 4 Patch Matrixes. Here you can route different Mod Sources to Destinations you like. Under the EditSelect 1-Section you can find the LFO Settings. (LFO-Wave, Intensity, Speed...)

There is no way you could obtain bass as rich and as flavoursome as flat beat without using analog equipment. that is all

The real base is made on a ms-20 , so i theory the Microkorg would do great as it is a littlebrother to the ms-2000.
SLagerZahne 3 years ago
it's almost the same engine. little more tweaks and adsr manipulations and it would be neaaar!

why didnt you just use preset B43? and it sounds better if you set filter envelope's attack and release than amplifier envelope's
