Anyone who thinks the Rocket Launcher or the Scattergun OP is dumb as hell. Scattergun doesn't affect the opposite player in any way and the only way to be succesful with it is to have your crosshairs on them every time you click due to hitscan.

Ever used a Rocket Launcher before? Yeah that shit is hard to airshot people with, but it's even more retarded with the Grenade Launcher from the Demo. You need MAD practice to get that good.

That should tell you about competitive TF2 but to explain it briefly: There are 9 classes each with different weapons and abilities. Scout, Pyro, and Soilder are the offensive classes. Heavy, Demoman, and Engineer are the defensive classes. And finally Medic, Sniper, and Spy are the support classes. What you will see in competitive TF2 is 2 scout/utility, 2 soilders, 1 demoman, and 1 medic. BTW the grenade and rocket launcher are not OP.

@D4D0uCh3 There are class limits, 1 medic, 1 demo and 2 allowed for all the other classes. The "standard" lineup is 1 medic, 1 demo, 2 scouts and 2 soldiers, simply because these are the most powerful and versatile. The demo and medic will rarely (if ever) switch classes but the soldiers and scouts will switch rather often depending on what is needed.

@D4D0uCh3 in essence, demo has the highest damage output and is used to wreck the other teams overheals and make em just take general splash damage.

soldier and scout are very balanced classes with a good mix of damage and movement. soldier has awesome and efficient weapons and rocket jumping mitigates their slow movement. they also have the second highest health. the scout has the fastest foot speed and the scatter gun wrecks from close range and flanks.

sniper pyro heavy spy is situational.

There are less people so it's harder to trick them.

Not only that but all of the comp. classes move faster (or have a way of moving faster) than a spy.

Pyros are also very situational, most of the damage they do is the afterburn, and in 6v6 a medic is never very far away.

And since everyone's always grouped together, there's just too many people to go through first if you try and go for the enemy medic.
