  • I think freddy Kruger waz wearing polyester when he waz chuked in the furnis LOL

  • Good tip man!

  • Hey Freddy, how many amps did you set to weld these steel tubes?. Could you answer using easy words, because I'm from Poland, and i don't understand all words. And how many amps should I use to weld 3 mm thickness seel sheet(stick welding of corse). Thanks very much for the answer.

  • Aww man, it freakin' BUBBLES! Good thing I'm a sciency guy and not a trades guy.

  • I'm a blacksmith and I ALWAYS wear denim coveralls and a leather apron.

  • @MrThahey Yeah that's better. Im just saying at least wear cotton and not plastic. leather would be ideal.

  • You will look like a monster, children will cry lmfao

  • Yeah you'll look freaky...but it will be Halloween soon. At least you'll be in fashion one day of the year.

I like to wear leather when welding. Don't care how hot it is. Leather is it for me. I hate getting sparks on my sweat shirts and then washing them and getting all kinds of holes in them.

Get a good leather coat and gloves and you'll be one badass lookin welding freak.

  • @MrStevilKneivel AMEN everybody who want's to learn about welding watch this video.LEATHER APRONS/JACKETS GLOVES AND BOOT'S PERIOD

  • Advice taken; weld naked... I keed I keed xD

  • @Lightningz1 Gives a new meaning to stick welding!

  • Right On!

  • Great Vid I knew it but I'm glad you made it for the new little welders out there

  • I guess some kind of fire extinguisher or bucket of water is good to have around.

  • Ive been burnt twice pretty bad by wearing the wrong shirt while welding... once about 8 years ago, and once a lame ass school called uti while grinding with their stupid ass mechanic shirt that u have to wear cuz that lame ass school has a dress code....(hate that school.. waiste of money) n e ways.. i dont look like a monster from my burns..., but i am a freak.. gigatti... lol

  • Important video and might I add, very responsible. Good job.

  • I bet alot of people didn't know that, I didn't , thanks for the good info Freddy

  • HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!

  • Great video, great tips with just the right amount of descriptive overkill. LoL

Listen to this man, you don't want to turn into a ghoulish monster freaking out all the neighbourhood kiddies and living a hideous life of shame forever hiding behind a Jimmy Carter mask or a Jean Chrétien mask... choice is yours. LoL

  • @Goregoon I need a good picture to use as a thumbnail for this but I don't want to use a real melted person.

  • @freddytk421 Use a picture of Freddy Kruger... his face has that "just lit" feel to it. LoL

  • @freddytk421 I have been a welder for over 30 yrs. I worked for a shop 15 yrs ago. they ordered poly uniforms . I said I would not wear them . The rep from the uniform company said why not? I said "Poly Melts to your skin" I will continue to wear my cotton/leather work clothes. Here is a safety tip: If you weld overhead ,or laying on your side, Wear ear plugs! Hot metal can pop your ear drums! Thanks for the vid!

  • @MCTeck Good advice thanks. I need to make one with more stuff.

  • hahah children will cry!! hahaha

  • Good vid, but where is the picture of that woman who splashed acid on herself?

Anyway....the synthetic material is basically plastic, so when it melts=liquid.

  • Freddy, having spent 30 years as a professional firefighter, I heartily endorse this video. Good job.

  • @strube1369 Make a video about fire safety and let me post it.

  • All I can say is oooouuuuccccchhhhh!!!

  • 1. Don't wear synthetic clothing or you will end up as a burn victim.

    2. Don't wear shirts woth open pockets, wear shirts with no pockets or pockets with flapps so sparks can't get into them.

3.Wear shirts with snap fasteners so you can get out of it quick.

    4. When you are welding overhead make sure you wear a neck skirt so you don't get sparks in your clothing.

    5. Wear a Leather skirt to minimize bruning of your clothes.

Just the basic safety rules, keep those in mind and you are safe.

  • @erklaerbaer01 Thanks for the useful comment. Ill copy it and use it in the next one.
