I would like to add that none of the innocent reisdents can get any packages delivered because UPS will not cross there "picket lines" the people here are innocient and should not suffer because the union thugs want to take more money out of the pockets of people who live here in rent controlled low income buildings. There are plenty of ways to come to a fair agreement for the men and the s/h. hopefully a new board will be seated. the president is too self serving and has to long of a personal agenda to allow the current board the ability to do anything. They went to the table many times to negotiate with the $650.00 an hour attorney the president hired to replace the RAB. The last time was in June, when the men agreed to the demands of the president. And when they did finally agree, she pulled the offer off the table and said they needed to agree to no raise for FOUR years and a reduction in staff. There was NEVER any good faith on the side of the president.

Families of Dayton Beach can not afford to pay out of their own pockets for increases for select few and their union bosses. According to salary figures previously released, the workers were being paid above industry standard. The problem is that a huge chunk of it was being "stolen" in membership dues by their own bosses. Are Dayton Beach families to blame for that?
The 32BJ Union called the workers to strike using them as the sacrificial lambs to their multi-million dollar organization. Did they for a moment consider the workers' opinions or their family's needs? 32BJ called for them to strike over a year ago and the men chose to work without a contract, in good faith from March 2010 through July 2011.
2) The check that the co-op has is a check that covered the men from February to April, it was for BACK coverage that the president REFUSED to pay. Note the cleared check was dated MAY but the coverage was for the prior three months.
1) Dayton Beach and Flatbush Gardens are the only buildings that did not sign the contract as ratified by the RAB. The president fired the RAB. Dayton Beach is the ONLY building in the Mitchel Lama program that is trying to oust the 32BJ men. Do we agree with the SEIU, no, not at all, but 32BJ falls under SEIU and the 24 men on strike are 32BJ.

The Dayton 32BJ workers have been loyal and hardworking and their tenure ranges from 10 to 25 years. If there are SEIU members that are thugs, that's one thing, but do not label these men as thugs.
