  • Most epic sci fi series of all time. Star Trek as well and SG1. Oh and X-Files.. but BSG the music, drama, is hands down... powerful.

  • i vote this song for earth's new anthem.

  • Beautiful music when they find Earth =)

  • This should be the anthem for our planet

  • @LPSpeppers

I completely agree. Our world needs an anthem, right now, one that represents all of humanity. Gods, that would help begin to solve our problems. It would put us on the road. You may not realize this, but that was an incredible comment you made. Thank you.

  • it's not enough just to live, you need something to live for. Let it be Earth.

  • Is it just me, or is the "Earth Leitmotif" that plays near the beginning eerily similar to the first few bars of "Ripley's Theme" from "Alien"?

  • @DarthFastidious Nope, it`s not just you, it`s very similar to the original title theme of Aliens, using the same four distinctive notes and that motif keeps playing throughout the pice. It might be McCreary`s tribute to Goldsmith?

  • @SilverbladeGR This isn't the only piece with Alien(s) in it. It's interesting.

  • I was a late comer to this show, but started watching them all in sequence about 2 months ago. I watched the finale today and was wracked with sobs for its entirety. This is not just TV, its a revelation. Full credit goes to everyone who worked on this show, including of course, Maestro Bear McCreary. Beautiful music.

    So say we all!

  • As much as I hated how a lot of the episodes dragged, the duality of Roslin, and random other dumb (minor) things, I still can't help but like the series, the miniseries, razor, caprica... not to mention the music.

  • It's not unknown. I know where it is! Earth - the most guarded secret we have. The location was only known by the senior commanders of the fleet, and we dared not share it with the public. Not while there was a Cylon threat upon us. For now WE HAVE A REFUGE TO GO TO... It won't be an easy journey. It will be long and arduous. But I promise you one thing. On the memory of those lying here before you, WE SHALL FIND IT, and Earth will become our new home. So say we all!

  • i agree i miss that show as well as admiral adama said so say we all

  • I know I was crying. A beautiful, tragic (in many ways) end to an amazing series.

And I'm getting chill bumps just listening to this..

  • so say we all so say we all so say we all

  • So say we all.

  • I know how you feel... I have the DVDs and I didnt watch Daybreak on purpose so it wouldent end.. but when i finally watched it.. I was balling.. Its so DAMN inspirational.. yet at the same moment, so very heartwrenching..

  • Das ist wohl einer der besten TV formathe, sprich besten serie mit tief grund.... mfg from Germany

  • They have gone through death, they have gone through sorrow, and now, it has paid off... they have reached earth. This is the end of the TV series, but not of the hybrid's prophecy. This has happened before, and it will happen again. Again. Again. Again. Again.

    Again.

  • 'Maybe this time...Will be different..'

'She will lead humanity to its end, Kara Thrace, she will..'

and you know what...she DID..Humanity as they knew it, is gone...and we are what has risen in its place...the end of the cycle..Not human..Not Cylon...Both, parts of the whole...

All this has happened before....but the cycle has changed, and if we are smart...it will NEVER happen again..

  • This time I bet no.

  • I was crying Straight through the last hour of Daybreak non stop ): I miss Battlestar Galactica

  • yeah me too

its too bad that no other tv show will ever touch bsg

i wish bsg was intended for 5 or 6 seasons i would prefer to watch bsg and not LOST which started to get boring

  • i wonder if we will ever create are own cylons, and if we do i hope we do treat them well. i know its a TV show but still once we create life is it the same as a human life?

  • if it can feel and express emotions then i think it's equal to a human life

  • look at how we treated the africans and native americans. i think artificial life will be treated just as poorly. people always need to dominate something. hell we treat animals like slaves and they're alive.

  • I don't cry at TV or movies, but*SPOILERS* when Adama and Roslin were in the Raptor at the end when she dies, I came pretty close to crying.

  • BSG is the only thing on tv that gave me tears a few times ;)

  • Same thing. The emotion from BSG was so powerful that it actually got to me. Few other series can make that claim.

  • This had to be the best way to end a series. Not an ending but a new beginning.

  • It's really up to us to determine our own "endings", but I do not consider Battlestar's finale to be an ending, it was really a new beginning for hummanity and the cylons alike.

  • there are no happy endings, nor sad endings. there are no endings. all of this has happened before, and all of it will happen again

  • I love that this and "Caprica City, Before the Fall" are based on the same theme. It's like the characters are truly coming full circle, from looking back at the dismal past to looking forward, toward a bright new future

  • this scene made me cry, it was when our earth, i new the journey was finally over. but it wasnt a happy ending. and BSG was never a happy story. but still i cried knowing the worst was over

  • Well it was sort of happy in a way. They finally made it to earth. At least one earth that they could live on for the remainder of their lives. And that made me cry as well. But yeah I cried throughout most of the finale.

  • Amazing music. It is so powerful and emotional. BSG Forever!!

  • I know! Listening to the music makes me cry. I own all the soundtracks. I'm waiting for this one to come in though. I ordered it online. Bear McCreary is awesome! Caprica was good too...in that way BSG will never be over.

  • battlestar has some of the best music ever made for television

  • @steven54031 So say we all!!!;)

  • BSG The Plan to air sometime in November 2009.

On July 24, 2009, Edward James Olmos stated that The Plan will not be the last BSG movie.

  • @UncleBuck1967111 The Plan never came out on DVD was sheduled to come out February 15th 2010 but never did.....

  • thank you SurfCompton for uploading this great music. long live battlestar galactica!

  • I know me too i cant listen to these songs without tearing up a little and realizing that its all over

  • this just makes me wana see the final episode again lol
