@RyanRey2000 No man (or budgie) is an island. If he indeed learned to speak English by listening to you, he would've also learned your view of the world (and some would say a lot of it is embedded in language, anyway). Even if he had his own take on it, the initial reference point would still have been yours; a human child raised by wolves will become wolflike.
