@ANTHONYT2A I agree! And while we're at it, let's kill the blacks, Hispanics, Chinese and Whites!! Heck let's just kill everyone for being born the way they were born! Yep.. Boo freedom and everything this world has worked for! Makes totally since

@rtisi I fully agree with you there man, that guy is a fucking bitch who doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. @ANTHONYT2A is just a bitch who should burn in hell!
The Ten Boom are/were very special people. I've read this book, "My Father's House", I am reading "Don't Wrestle, Just Nestle"... It was so hard to see what they went through, and when Corrie's sister Betsie dies...spreading the word of God even in that awful place...One quote that stays with me is:"They'll believe us Corrie, because we were here"-Betsie Ten Boom..
I've just finishing re-reading the book again as I've done many times over the years. It is wonderful and inspiring in so many ways.
After watching this trailer though, I think I'll stick with the book. The acting looks so horrendously and cringe-worthily awful in this film, I don't know how it got made. Such a shame. The book will stand the testament of time though unlike it's shoddy cinematic counterpart.
i have read the book and i really love to watch the film. inspiring story. i never expected that i would get values from this book but after reading something changed in me
@sycoticbeast lol? what's funny? This was REAL. Death, despicable living conditions, hatred, and most of all, God's love and protection. It all truly happened and none of it was a laughing matter, so please don't laugh.
The story of Corrie and Betsie never ceaces to encourage and help me. Godwilling, if I were ever in the same kind of situation, I'd remember them and do exactly what they did. One day, I'll meet them, and I can't wait!
The book explains so much more than the movie , but the movie is great too. If you want to know more and more stuff about it you should read the actual book. It's more interesting also ( the book) :)
This movie is soo beautiful! My mother told me to watch it, and I didn't regret it. Though they went through hell and back, doing God's work, the Booms kept God and Jesus with them throughout their entire lives. These are truly beautiful people. I cried three or four times....mainly towards the end.
This movie is soo beautiful! My mother told me to watch it, and I didn't regret it. Though they went through hell and back, doing God's work, the Booms kept God and Jesus with them throughout their entire lives. These are truly beautiful people.
This is rubbish and shit! Mind the real heroes from those days. That was not this Corrie ten Boom and her family but the group that saved about one THOUSAND Jewish children from the Hollandse Schouwburg. This is Christian Rubbish propaganda! Shame on You Tube!

@jt123egypte So it's just about numbers, huh? If you save one thousand you're a hero, if you give your life for a few, you're shit, huh? I guess the story of Anne Frank and those who hid that family is shit too. Pretty sad.
@Creaturehugs - Are you that stupid? My father was a decorated former KZ-prisoner, so I know what I am writing . This ten Boommovie is commercial rubbish. Please read the History about some people that saved 1000 Jewish children from the Hollandse Schouwburg. They were the real heroes! Respect to the Ten Boomfamily, but it was not that important to make a movie about it.Then we could make a few hundred other ones too from people who did the same. But how can you judge about this with 24?
@jt123egypte How could you say anything negative about this movie. It's important to give respect to ALL individuals including your father. There's absolutely no need to spew out negativity about anyone's efforts to help people in such hard times. It doesn't matter if they helped a little or a lot...they helped!
@jt123egypte It's not about numbers. It's about having the strong will to help. I would love the hear the story of those that saved thousands though. But by bashing the Boom's, you're doing nothing but making who you're trying to support look bad. Lighten up.
I saw the movie when I was about 12. I was scared about having nightmares about it. I couldn't believe this actually happened. I felt so sad and sorry for them. I have read the book and also a lot of Corrie's books. She was a person from God. They will get their rewards when Christ returns. God will see the punishers punished. A good movie.
wow ty for sharing I read the book and my mother was a child during this war and was living in Germany. She had me read it when i was a teenager and I cried every chapter. I didn't know they made a movie. I will be renting it very soon.
when i was 12, i was raised jewish, i critized christians cause i thought they were arrogant, stupid, and thought they knew everything, but then my grandmother sat me down and forced me to watch this movie, i imediatly changed my mind because i didn't know that somthing lik that ever happened, and that people would dare to help,
This is dirty Jewish propaganda rubbish! The USA should have sided with Hitler to fight Jewish Marxism (Karl Marx was a Jew), instead of fighting against Hitler. The Germans did not gas any Jews. The bodies found in the camps at the end of the war had died from starvation and typhus - NOT GAS; it is all Jewish wartime propaganda - THE BIG LIE! Go to JEWWATCHDOTCOM and RESISTDOTCOM.
Katja was a fictional character but based on several women, noteably Mien, from the book THE HIDING PLACE, who was a nurse at Ravensbruck that helped Betsie and Corrie Ten Boom. They had actually met at the Vught concentration camp in Holland (not shown in the movie)...
this part was fictional...in the book, Corrie goes into the mistreatment of the prisioners in much more detail, this was to represent the over all mistreatment and cruelalty(sp)...the book is much more desturbing...your mind can make the most disturbing pictures...
I believe the body of Christ should watch this movie - as we should be prepared for what will happen in the very near future - history repeats itself and the Holy Spirit within me has been warning me to watch & pray!
The movie is great. You will have to remember it is not a "hollywood" movie and it is over 30 years old. If you can get past those things, it will blow you away.
I simply cannot understand why Corrie was so deliriously thankful for the "everlasting" bottle of vitamins, when surely her kind and powerful God could have provided heaps more for his starving children?
I am rented the movie right now from my local library and have watched it 3 times. I keep renewing it because I keep wanting to watch it again. I especially like the end when the real Corrie ten Boom talks. It's sooo inspirational!

i remember watching this movie (in a big christian church here in the philippines)in 1983, i was only 10 on that time. It is a very inspiring testimony of corrie ten boom.
and its all about forgiveness the most powerful word next to love.
An A list Christian movie with a first rate cast! This is proof a movie about Christianity can be made without resorting to smug, schmaltz and sanctimonious hogwash.
Last year in reading we read this book and watched the movie. Sutch a moving story... so great that their faith in God was so strong in this time... the movie makes me cry every time I see it. Great great story and they did the movie very well! So amazing that this is a true story!
I lovedthis move!! It is such a powerful witnessing tool. When Jesus calls me home, she is one of the many people who I want to meet!! She is a true hero of the Faith!! Her and Betsy, and their Father. What a family, what an example of true Faith!! Thank you!!
