This reminds me of my baby, marshmallow. She's almost 8 months old now and I found her the same way. Now, she's fat, lazy and very happy. I'm really glad I took her in cause 2 months after, she had a seizure and almost died. It's nice to know there are other people out there who think squirrels aren't just something to shoot. @cbrusharmy By fructose I assume he means a sugar syrup solution (it's common in baking) to give him energy until they could find him somewhere to go which was also a good idea because sugar solutions can help prevent shock from setting in (i used it on a dog once it saved him) giving milk to animal babies is a very bad idea despite tv in fact the milk we drink is incredibly bad for kittens it can make them sick and I herd of several that died from the diet.

I guess this is old but I been trying to locate info about feeding. Today, April 4, 2011, I have two baby squirrels that fell when a tree limb fell during a storm here in TN. I have them in a box, appears same age as the one in this video. Can't get vet office to take them. Can't get TWRA to do anything. Will go to pet store tomorrow to find something to feed these critters if they are still alive then.

Kewl - just keep in mind if you happen to find another squirrel that the best way to feed a baby squirrel is with Esbilac puppy powder and a 1cc syringe (babies head up tail down) - and feed slowly to avoid aspiration of fluids into the lungs (that can be fatal). Never feed a dehydrated squirrel or a cold squirrel (both can be fatal).

Wow he's a really little guy. I had a little black skwerl I named Rocky that I got when he was just little also. He was darling and moved out when he was ready. He also visits with the family.
Also, it's really funny...for instance..if I'm inside my house and they dont see me, some of them have actually climbed up into the tree outside of my living room window..just high enough so they can see in, and they will make this "grunting" type sound...like a call...over and over again until I hear it and bring the peanuts. It's really cute..because all of the squirrels' in my neighborhood are nice and plump..and happy :o)
It's really nice to see people being kind and helping animals. I had rescued a baby squirrel when his Mother got hit by a car. I took him in, nursed him, and as hard as it was, I let him go once he was big enough. Now, he comes to my window 3 to 4 times a day , along with other squirrels in my neighborhood to get peanuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds.....I spoil them all. They are such beautiful creatures...each one having their own distinct personality,and color patterns...they are just "Darling" !

I had a baby squirrel come into my restaurant. People were kind of freaking out. I walked up on it by about 10' and Gods honest Truth, it ran up to me and up ON me. I took him outside of my restaurant off the parking lot and in to the shrubs I sat him down and backed away and he ran back at me. Scarred little guy, I took him home an named it Tremble. CUTEST little thing! Tremble was a baby boy.
my jaw dropped within the first second. that thing is unfathomably adorable.
I wonder what it is that compels me and many other people to be attracted to and feel protective of small organisms with small limbs and large facial features.

What religion does is make average people detest one another and fight passionate wars because their religion told them to, not because they have the power to kill. i have no issue with religion personally either, goto chrch take communion and pray etc, as i SHOULD be doing more often. but, keep yur head

@smsteve888 I agree that absolute power corrupts absolutely, not all religions are the same. There is a huge difference between Christ's injunctions and Mohammed's for instance. Even when muslims call for slaying infidels, I don't hate them-I merely point out that their beliefs are false and destructive, though it is easy to see why they may be hated for believing that. As for the difference between holy wars and 'regular' ones, what is the point? Many people are still dead and buried.

Also, it's really funny...for instance..if I'm inside my house and they dont see me, some of them have actually climbed up into the tree outside of my living room window..just high enough so they can see in, and they will make this "grunting" type sound...like a call...over and over again until I hear it and bring the peanuts. It's really cute..because all of the squirrels' in my neighborhood are nice and plump..and happy :o)

It's really nice to see people being kind and helping animals. I had rescued a baby squirrel when his Mother got hit by a car. I took him in, nursed him, and as hard as it was, I let him go once he was big enough. Now, he comes to my window 3 to 4 times a day , along with other squirrels in my neighborhood to get peanuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds.....I spoil them all. They are such beautiful creatures...each one having their own distinct personality,and color patterns...they are just "Darling" !

I had a baby squirrel come into my restaurant. People were kind of freaking out. I walked up on it by about 10' and Gods honest Truth, it ran up to me and up ON me. I took him outside of my restaurant off the parking lot and in to the shrubs I sat him down and backed away and he ran back at me. Scarred little guy, I took him home an named it Tremble. CUTEST little thing! Tremble was a baby boy.
