WOW Rodney is the Forest Gump of Rock & Roll > What a journey into music > From Rock & Roll to Punk to Alternative > Mr. Bingenheimer is KROQ's backbone to music > The LA scene owes a big THANK YOU to this man for keeping the music scene alive for so many years> nowadays music is run by corporate execs that think musics meaning & next big thing will come from American Idol or "Americas Got Talent" >I miss all of this
In the movie there's a guy who pulls his pants down while he sings in a concert, I hear the words "the beautiful people, the beautiful people" but I've looked over for a song with this title and can't find it, Anyone knows anything about it?
rodney is a legend, I loved it when he interviewed the germs. Is rodney still on? Is their anytime I can listen to his radio station and even call in? That would be cool.
Rodney has always been a fan of music first and foremost, and despite his connecting with all these musicians all these years, it hasn't made him rich, but neither has it tarnished his humble good nature. I listened to his KROQ show from its debut in 1976. He championed glam, the Runaways, and punk (and he was first in L.A. to play punk exclusively, with Richard Meltzer and KXLU coming soon after). He deserved his Walk of Fame star. I own his 45 "Let's Make the Scene." and the man certainly did.
Rodney is the one that got me really into music; I was always grounded just constantly in trouble as a teen, radio was all I had; so, when I was a DJ in High School in the 80's, I followed his style - played a large block of different music; X and Iggy Pop called my house, and my idiot stepmother told them all that I wasn't home, but at school.. ugh. a good step mom would have pulled me out of school for calls like that
I think Rodney was at every show I went to in high school. He always took the time out to talk to all us dorky kids. He's a true music lover and a really sweet guy.
In 1831 a young girl snuck out late at night, long after her parents had put her to bed. Not surprisingly, she was missing the next day. 2 years later, a girl named Mary Owens was outside playing when she found the dead body. The young girl that had died 2 years ago had been tortured, than stabbed many times on her torso. So if u read this, u will wake up at exactly 12:00 midnight, only to find the dead girl at the end of your bed, holding a bloodied up knife. Then u die. send to 9 vids or else
