I agree with alot of what has been said. Skating got way to crazy and forgot what the sport was really about. In my prime, like 5years ago, it wasn't all this technical insane switchups. It was skating that had style. Thats what is missing today. The actually skating that once was is gone. And until thats brought back we're living a barely breathing sport.

This is what rolling is about. I've seen so many dvd's, and while I appreciate the sections, none have had such an impact on me as this has. Latimer is one of the founding fathers of the sport. This section, while not glitzy and glamorous is an important section to be seen by all people who roll. It's just a leveling experience to watch.

Latimer is one of the last legends in our sport. Hes probably my main influence in rolerblading and i respect him for bowing out gracefully.
just shows what you can do if you either dont have alot to roll in your area or can just have a chill sesh without having to do somthing nuts like mentioned.. especially with xsjado's , so much fun just skating them... the smooth flow and responsivness... etc...getting me the best of dvd for sure.. worth having in your collection..

I like the nice somber tone, and the old-school projector look/feel of it all. This is basically how i skate now-a-days. I just cruise, and do some some tricks, with little innovative tweaks to whatever is around me. Nothing mind-blowing, but something to ease MY mind. I've been skating for so long now, and I've had MANY injuries/broken bones, that I can't stop now, but at the same time, I can't go big. I truly love this section. I skate for me, not you. :)

it seems dustin lets his xsjado's do the skating and he's just along for the ride. this comes from years of experience, trials, tribulations, errors, and success. this edit works so well because of all the bashing we as rollerbladers put ourselves through. we know the gnar factor isnt there in this section, because he's so cool and fluid, its like he's not even there, he's air.

I would agree that this isn't the kind of skating most people like to see (with exception to a few tricks), but it really wasn't about what the people expect. It was reaching out to those who really appreciate rollerblading and have a deep passion for it, it will remind them of the days when they would wake up and skate the entire day. This is supposed to represent how fun skating is and that you don't have to be the greatest skater ever to enjoy it.

it seems dustin lets his xsjado's do the skating and he's just along for the ride. this comes from years of experience, trials, tribulations, errors, and success. this edit works so well because of all the bashing we as rollerbladers put ourselves through. we know the gnar factor isnt there in this section, because he's so cool and fluid, its like he's not even there, he's air.

Dustin Latimer...this video is sick and the track blends so well with the clip. Xsjado skate is 1 extraordinary designed piece of tool for skating, Not forgetting, Dustin has come a long way ever since the early days aggressive skating scene. And this video displayed so truely authentic in his skating style which he himself has developed. Watch his other videos & you can compare to why this particular 1 is so beautifully displayed like anger-gravity-ballets.

as much as i've allways loved latimer, (haha since vg6 toys beneath our feet!!) i can't say i enjoyed this... if thats how he wants his skating to look, i can't say it's shit but to me this doesn't look like the kind of skating that should be put on film - at all! hate away, i don't fucking care but in my mind... dustin's taken a wrong turn somewhere down that road of his! haha

I would agree that this isn't the kind of skating most people like to see (with exception to a few tricks), but it really wasn't about what the people expect. It was reaching out to those who really appreciate rollerblading and have a deep passion for it, it will remind them of the days when they would wake up and skate the entire day. This is supposed to represent how fun skating is and that you don't have to be the greatest skater ever to enjoy it.
