We all know in the long run the 'vette wins. The SS ran out of gear in that last race and the 'stang was about to no doubt... Just about any 'vette since 2000 with a 6-speed can hit 165-175 no sweat...
@marcomariaz26 Yep! 5th gear all the way to redline is about 175 on stock tranny. Once you shift into 6th (unless its making some serious power) it will barely budge
@marcomariaz26 That Mustang can turn its .63 6th gear unlike the z06's .56 and camaros .50 , and 5th gear does over 160 so he wasn't running out of gear any time soon. That cobra only got into 4th. 1997 corvette did 169.

Fastest car I've had so far was a 1986 5.0 - modded with 3.55's and ran low 13's, something these beasts can do granny shifting and with 1/2 gas no doubt... lol...

@IDontHateOnCars in the beginning of video where it shows the mods for the camero says it has a 348 cubs with looks like either 3x T3's or maybe 3.73's cant really tell which it means. T=turbo so thats why I said that.
@tobroke2007 Yes its very unclear. It actually said 346 which is what it is ,it also said only 539 rwhp for the camaro unlike the tittle. I think its actually procharged, i thought it was turbo'd when i seen it too,The blow of valve fooled me, i forgot pc's have them to. It really doesn't matter the motor or set up it matters the horse power and the video only claimed 19 more for the camaro than the mustang.
@tobroke2007 Though 65 more cubes for the ls1 and 1100 cc's more. Remember long block 4 cam 32valve and short block 1 cam 16 valve. DOHC 32v really makes up for the displacement disadvantage. Both are still bad beast for what they are. The video said 3.73 for the camaro not 3 turbo's, no big deal just letting you know.
@IDontHateOnCars I like both cars im big fan of all three. ive owned all three. no matter how you type it though big difference in 4.6 and 5.7 and cubic inches. you can def tell the camero has a turbo not to be mean but it real easy to hear it. at 1:20 through 1:23 when camero is running the vette you hear the spool between shifts. are you the onwer of any of these cars? I mean just sounds to me like camero is running a turbo. but im shure if you where there you would know so not shure .

@luvscience44, nope thats a procharger.you can always tell a centrifugial charger from a turbo by the decible levels of the exhaust. superchargers make your car immensly loud exhaust wise while the turbo's lower it

The mustang had a ported Eaton S/C, had aftermarket pulleys top and bottom, prochamber, Forged bottom end, and exhaust and was making 520 hp! The guy with the Cobra spent all of that money just to beat a Z06 when the Z06 missed a shift, and then got beat by the Z06 when he got his shifts right! Pay attention dude! The Vette does well for not having a supercharger. A stock C5 Z06 puts out 350-370 RWHP + 100 shot of nitrous = 450-470RWHP so look out when he gets a supercharger too.

i have the eaton off of a 2004 cobra with stock pulley. custom tune by my brother alfie. i spent under 2200 bucks. and i love it. looks stock under the hood and i love watching termi owners face when im next to them with their 2.76" pulley and bolt ons and making over 14 psi of boost. haha.

@Imastud69 I own a supercharged corvette, and my best friend(who is also the previous owner), has a '98 Mustang GT 2v with a Vortech T-Trim. We're as unbiased as you can get. Superchargers are as much of a fake power adder as a turbo, nitrous, or more cubic inches. Run what you brung, who cares how you got there. Well OBVIOUSLY the vette would win then, it has 2.4L more than the cobra. I think ford was smart when they did that. Supercharge a smaller engine and save weight. You don't have to have 8L under the hood to go fast anymore. It used to be the biggest engine would win which is why companies would keep uping the
@Imastud69 I have to correct you in one area, though I agree with you everywhere else. Larger displacement engines don't necessarily equate to more weight. The Aluminum Chevy LSX engines are some of the lightest engines on the road, and most compact physically. The Ford 4.6 is an iron block OHC design(vs the aluminum block pushrod design in the Chevy). So the Ford engine by itself, is heavier than the Chevy engine. Then adding a supercharger equates to even more weight(usually 50+ lbs more).

@Imastud69 Well ford went from the pushrod 5.0 to the OHC 4.6liter in 1996 in the SN95 Mustang. It was a completely re-designed engine(much wider than the 5.0 and overall larger). Since that first 4.6, they have gone from 2valve, to 3valve, and now to 4valve head design, and the new coyote 5.0 motor boasts 412(more like 430+ at the crank)hp with a lot of potential for mods. Ford just decided to go a different route, and it has worked out very well for them.

He has the 3.73 rear end option on it and I got it to chirp in third with relative ease. I'm excited to see what ford does in the future with that coyote 5.0.
@braddfordy Even my Mustang friends are telling me the new 5.0 makes more than the 412 Ford advertises. I'm hearing the car makes 380-390rwhp with the stock air filter. No drivetrain on the planet is that efficient. Ford under-rated the Terminator, GM underratted the last generation LS1 Camaro, it's no big deal. I'd rather a manufacturer under-rate power to be honest with you.

@braddfordy Swansen Motorsports here in So. Cal sees 380 on a stock 5.0 and his dyno isn't known for putting out high numbers compared to dynojets. Of course this is on a 6spd, not an automatic, so the numbers will be a little bit higher. This is on 91 octane as we aren't blessed with the 92-93 octane that most of the country has access to(stupid freaking California). Oh what my C5 would kill for 93 pump gas....

@braddfordy Stock cam and heads? Is the Terminator's 4.6 a 4valve setup? My friend's '98 GT is still 2valve, but he's upgrading it to 4valve. Currently making 560rwhp on a mustang dyno @ 15 psi and it looks as fast as it runs! I'm only running 9psi through a D1 with a tired LS1, but I'm hoping for some good power with the 402 build I've started on. I think its actually procharged, i thought it was turbo'd when i seen it too,The blow of valve fooled me, i forgot pc's have them to. It really doesn't matter the motor or set up it matters the horse power and the video only claimed 19 more for the camaro than the mustang.

@tobroke2007 Though 65 more cubes for the ls1 and 1100 cc's more. Remember long block 4 cam 32valve and short block 1 cam 16 valve. DOHC 32v really makes up for the displacement disadvantage. Both are still bad beast for what they are. The video said 3.73 for the camaro not 3 turbo's, no big deal just letting you know.

@IDontHateOnCars I like both cars im big fan of all three. ive owned all three. no matter how you type it though big difference in 4.6 and 5.7 and cubic inches. you can def tell the camero has a turbo not to be mean but it real easy to hear it. at 1:20 through 1:23 when camero is running the vette you hear the spool between shifts. are you the onwer of any of these cars? I mean just sounds to me like camero is running a turbo. but im shure if you where there you would know so not shure .

@Imastud69 I own a supercharged corvette, and my best friend(who is also the previous owner), has a '98 Mustang GT 2v with a Vortech T-Trim. We're as unbiased as you can get. Superchargers are as much of a fake power adder as a turbo, nitrous, or more cubic inches. Run what you brung, who cares how you got there. Well OBVIOUSLY the vette would win then, it has 2.4L more than the cobra. I think ford was smart when they did that. Supercharge a smaller engine and save weight. @Imastud69 I have to correct you in one area, though I agree with you everywhere else. Larger displacement engines don't necessarily equate to more weight. The Aluminum Chevy LSX engines are some of the lightest engines on the road, and most compact physically. The Ford 4.6 is an iron block OHC design(vs the aluminum block pushrod design in the Chevy). So the Ford engine by itself, is heavier than the Chevy engine. Then adding a supercharger equates to even more weight(usually 50+ lbs more).

@Imastud69 Well ford went from the pushrod 5.0 to the OHC 4.6liter in 1996 in the SN95 Mustang. It was a completely re-designed engine(much wider than the 5.0 and overall larger). Since that first 4.6, they have gone from 2valve, to 3valve, and now to 4valve head design, and the new coyote 5.0 motor boasts 412(more like 430+ at the crank)hp with a lot of potential for mods. Ford just decided to go a different route, and it has worked out very well for them.

@braddfordy Even my Mustang friends are telling me the new 5.0 makes more than the 412 Ford advertises. I'm hearing the car makes 380-390rwhp with the stock air filter. No drivetrain on the planet is that efficient. Ford under-rated the Terminator, GM underratted the last generation LS1 Camaro, it's no big deal. I'd rather a manufacturer under-rate power to be honest with you.

@braddfordy Swansen Motorsports here in So. Cal sees 380 on a stock 5.0 and his dyno isn't known for putting out high numbers compared to dynojets. Of course this is on a 6spd, not an automatic, so the numbers will be a little bit higher. This is on 91 octane as we aren't blessed with the 92-93 octane that most of the country has access to(stupid freaking California). Oh what my C5 would kill for 93 pump gas....

@braddfordy Texas has some of the fastest cars in the country. I hear all the time about the Texas Mile, and someday vow to run my C5 there. I'm currently building a 402 stroker that'll hopefully be in by summer. Your gas would probably give me another 40+ rwhp over the 91 crap sewer water we get here in California. The boost I could run with real gas! Damn this state...

Just not sure I want to go that route with my daily driver. Maybe if more stations open up. You're right though, it would definitely be better than the crap we get out here. @JustinStrife 2.8 upper,upr o/r x pipe,dynomax race muffers,lfp dual pass heat exchanger, tri-ax, gearheads dyno tune,and a drop in filter. i got a appointment next week for a posi race port and 4lbs lower and some full length sub frames. i wouldnt mind seeing your vette shining on the back end of the texas mile. you should sign up its alot of heavy hitters out there!

@braddfordy Stock cam and heads? Is the Terminator's 4.6 a 4valve setup? My friend's '98 GT is still 2valve, but he's upgrading it to 4valve. Currently making 560rwhp on a mustang dyno @ 15 psi and it looks as fast as it runs! I'm only running 9psi through a D1 with a tired LS1, but I'm hoping for some good power with the 402 build I've started on. I have family in Austin Texas, so someday I will make it there to run the Texas Mile. We should grab some drinks and talk cars then man. Will

The guy I bought my cobra from has a s/c c6 z this is just silly that damn is f ING fast. He's on my friends list you should check out some of his videos
