I successfully did trick 1. I had to lower the resolution of my screen though, or I couldn't see the dot. By using the trick I discovered an interesting glitch. If at the beginning of the game if you click a block that should contain a mine, the mine is moved to a random other location. This is probably done so you can't lose at the first click, but with a big field with few mines you can sometimes win in 1 click. When this happens with such a mine move the game doesn't know directly you've won.

It works. You just have to close everything but the minesweeper and look top left of your computer screen. not the game. the computer screen. it should have a white dot on it. it isnt that hard to figure out what he is saying...

The "Win key" mentioned in the video is the "Windows key", located between CTRL and ALT on Windows keyboards, which usually brings up the start menu.

Start a new game, type "xyzzy", hit shift, and then hit enter. If you look at the top left of your desktop (make sure nothing is blocking it, i.e. programs or Google Desktop sidebar), there will be one tiny pixel that will change color from RGB255-255-255 to RGB0-0-0, depending on whether a mine is present on the square that your cursor is currently hovering over. It will show up as 0-0-0 (black) if there is a mine, or 255-255-255 (white) if there is no mine.

ok so exit out of any thing so that the only thing up is your desk top next bring up minesweeper put your mouse on a square the type xyzzy press shift then press enter move you mouse over the boxes and look at the upper left hand corner of your desktop you will either see a super tiny white dot or nothing if you see nothing that means there is a mine behind that box

Doesn't work on Vista, press xyzzy, and hold the y down. Then press and hold shift, while still holding the y down, the dot appears in the top left corner, it is one pixel and that is very small. try to put something dark in the corner , because it is white. The dot turns black when you hover over a mine.

For the second one :

First first a square on the minesweeper grid, then press windows key and D in the same time.

It should minizie the game, when you bring it back up again, the time should be frozen

All the way in the upper left corner, in the very upper left, there is now a pixel run you mouse over the grid back and forth and look at this pixel, if it goes black then white every now and then that is your pixel.
