@burntmarshmallow13 Nolan is great for his affinity. Imo, try not to feed Volug too many kills. Generally, giving your weaker characters more kills will cause your overall army to be stronger and more balanced. I actually like Laura a lot, since she can heal abuse for exp and can be untouchable went paired up even in hard mode in 3rd tier. She's hard to level though. The key is to never use her to kill and just keep healing every turn. The swamp is awesome for heal abuse with the poison.

It's easy to just to take less than 10 turns in most chapters. If you are worried about CEXP you really shouldn't worry. Lowturning is valueable for BEXP.

@soul1112 The chapters you see with a LOT of turns are ones where I used galdr abuse and heal abuse. Since when a character dies, they are gone forever, and most casters get 2 shot, AND you can't save in hard mode, it's better not to take chances. You can see my improved run I posted shortly after this with lower tiers.

I think that boss abuse, sacrifice and heal abuse its necessary in part one in order to survive the dawn of brigade part 3 chapters. Jill, Nolan and zihark are the best choice to train in hard mode.

Anyone in here beat U.S. version of PoR on Hard? I would appreciate it if someone could compare this and that Hard mode. I've beaten Normal 2 times (on my third time for the extra characters and story), and have beat FE7, 9 (Duh, that's PoR!), and just about reached the incomplete ending of FE6, then my file was deleted, along with my mom's whole hard drive. I'm playing FE4 and have played FE3, FE1,and FE2.

FE10 on hard mode is f**king rediculious, few people (if any) have beaten it on hard, even FE10 Normal is rediculous.

BTW, i am a pretty good FE player myself, but FE10 hard and ChinaFE are pretty crazy for everyone.

this is possibly THE hardest fire emblem, i recommend normal, and then a loong break from the series cuz this game is fucking hard, then you can play hard mode

@ivancito7790 the hardest is FE Thracia 776 even the creators of fire emblem say so. this comes in second for sure. if there were arena's in RD the game would have been very easy though. just buy tons of staves and arena abuse early on to form a complete army of lvl 20 3rd tier tanks

Hard mode is the hardest mode in the NA version (this playthrough and the one in the video response). It's the equivalent of manic difficulty in the Japan version.

I noticed you have a bunch of turns for certain chapters. Do reinforcements continue to show up after that many turns? because I prefer to kill all the enemies to get the experience.

No they don't continue to show up, except in endgame chapters. By then your units should have already been pretty high if you want to survive hard mode.

This is my fifth play through after getting Haar on the first three times and Edward the fourth. Then it's Titania the sixth and then back to Haar again.

Well, people usually say Ilyana sucks, I tried her a couple of times, and found out she's a pretty good unit when on Micaiah's team, she's no Soren, but she capped everything for me at around Lv 17. I love Ike, but I stop using him after he reached Lv 20 until he class changes. Nephenee, Haar, and Ilyana always seem to be number 1. Haar rules. But I kind of cheat a little, since I don't play hard mode too much. I battle save in Easy/Normal before a level up and I just restart it if I get boned.

Well, for Vika and Lyre, I abused bonus experience so they turned out not too bad, and Astrid was just lucky with the RNG, only excuse I can think of. She maxed all but resistance.

if you like laguz units you should use the bonus experience on better laguz, like ranulf or ulki. I guess Astrid can be good if you let her get like, all the experience and get lucky. But I didnt train any of the royal knights. They just werent worth it so on the first level you use them, I killed as few enemies as possible and gave the experience to nephenee, haar, and elincia. I obviously had lots of problems on that part 3 battle but i managed to beat it by using meteor. XP

To hjt091: Haha, all my playthroughs haar is in the top 5 as well. I am using Jill and Haar this time, mostly Jill but I just LOVE the wyvern class in this game, they really own. Only weakness is thunder magic which isn't all that bad actually.

I always hated flying units in the GBA games but in FE10 (haven't played FE9) I definetly LOVE the flying units. Peg/falcon knight are harder to train cause of wind and archer weakness though but still very good (marcia ftw!)

my favorites are leonardo and edward. when i got to the endgame of part 3, i had so many experience points on manage in base. so, why waste them? i saved them and by prolouge in part 4, i used up most of the EXP to get leonardo to marksman and edward to trueblade. they were unstoppable on the tower of guidance.

i trained him and edward by giving them BEXP and had them kill a bunch of enemies. by endgame of part 1, edward was swordsmaster and leonardo was a sniper. by the end of that chapter, they were both level 4.

yes he was. the only reason people say he sucks is because shinon is sniper level 13 and prefer him because he's the easiest to train. it's just personal preference to me. also, leo's speed isn't that good, but get him to marksman, and he'll double anyone.

It's all about sacrifice and using high level staves when you can. You get the same exp for using those two moves as in normal mode.

My tip for a high-lvl-Micaiah: Use her often in the first Chapters and bring her on lvl 20 before the first part ends. Don't give her EXP before the Final Chapter, only if u must do it to bring her to lvl 20.

Then u can give her the skill 'Elite' for twice EXP in battles. Maybe u need a bit EXP but I think not very much. ^^

On Hard Mode my Micaiah was in Chapter 6(4)/Part 4 on lvl 20 Light princess. ^^

neat trick with laura and micaiah:use sacrifice, then use laura to heal micaiah, this way they gain experience and you can train laura too, though she sucks to begin with. I'd be impressed if one single person did the endgame of the game with only the required characters and only the dawn brigade. dat be hard, considering the crappiness of the dawn brigade.

It's simple, really. Notice all 4 of my herons are level 40. It's kinda impossible to do that in hard mode, so obviously I used galdr abuse. When they leveled hp up, I healed them with a staff, getting exp for Laura and Mist. Also, I stood under ledges and let ranged enemies hit me for free over and over. I get 1 exp for their turn and more staff abuse. Same thing for bosses.

OMG at you using Edward on Hard Mode. You got guts for that and I admire you. I always use him for Easy and Normal, but I get pwned in Hard and forced to use Zihark or Mia.

I deployed only Nolan, Edward, Elincia, and Tibarn in 4-5. Nolan had beastfoe and Edward had Paragon. There are unlimited enemies in that chapter so it was easy level 20 for Edward and Nolan. They were paired with support of course.

For this run, I actually tried to have Mia kill as little as possible. Zihark + Volug were mainly useful as a tank for chokes in the 3rd part. If you put them together with support, that's pretty much a wall (earth).

My regret is not having Marcia in 5th.
