  • Ughh... I'm performing this in a couple days and I was feeling great when I got it up to 115 bmp >.< time for more practice...

  • 128 bpm at 6 notes a beat = 768 notes per min or almost 13 notes a second !! Oh man what rhythm, phrasing, clarity and absolute steadiness of tempo. His technical skill allows him to effortlessly express things where others would struggle and get carried away with just the technical side alone.

  • @ksviewerx it sounds at ease still..lol makes u wonder what happens if he tries. Probably beat the world record ha ha

  • haha, a perfect piece for him ^^

  • part of the clarity is only because heifetz recorded this separate to the orchestral part (you can tell partly by hearing that he recorded this in a box room). still though, flawless as ever, such power.

  • Such purity and articulation of note - unsurpassed !!

  • It's really amazing how heifetz can bring out the sound of each note without a scratch when going in that speed. It's incredible.

  • i'd simply pee on my pants if i have an exam like this....

  • I think Heifetz' best years were from about 1930 to 1960. And it was in that era that he proved himself as probably the greatest violinist of all time. This particular recording is a great example. I can't imagine any other violinist playing with such speed, precision and clarity -- and all the while not degrading the composer's intentions. It boggles the ear and the mind.

  • Two words: WOW!

  • @TheCloudTen I thought WOW is one word...

  • Its super fast, and the amazing part is, every single note is clear... AMAZING.. (:

  • who in their right mind would dislike this video? thanks for posting

  • simply amazing!

  • listening to Pealman play it and then Heifetz you can hear a major difference. With Heifetz you can hear every single note with a pristine quality where as with Pearlman they sometimes seem alittle mumbled together but with no doubt they are both tottally amazing on the violin!

  • @23brisingr Itzak has reverb thats all

  • Incredibly fun piece. I find myself playing it over and over again just because it's so SATISFYING to play! And Heifetz makes it completely effortless.

  • He has such great confidence when playing this piece, so clear, so precise.

  • Heifetz just perfect

Perlman master but compared to Heifetz nothing

  • simply perfection

  • omg. this is so amazing!!!!

  • Great pity the second movement isn't here in this quality too... Some wonderful Heifetzian moments there:-)

  • @marsvltor2 I've uploaded the rest of this piece in this quality :)

  • Oh boy!!! Just listened to Perlman's version... This is a close call! Love them both!!! Thanks boys! :-)

  • ugh....i feel so bad about myself now....this is like impossibly amazing..!

  • Amazing!

  • WOW!

  • & i thought Perlman was brilliant...this is breathtakingly smooth yet amazingly fast...wow... i literally made my jaw drop...

  • hey can someone tell me where i can download the sheet music to this. so i can beast on it

  • imslp . org

    Look under composers - Sinding

    Suite, Op. 10

  • Flawless technique. The clarity of each note blew me away.Heifetz was,is,and to me always will be the peak of violin playing.Sensational.

  • "Fast" never equals "good". Heifetz is lifted to deity status not because of his spiccato skills or whatever, it's because of his musicianship and the qualities therein.

I hate the very juvenile and technically-based equalities that a fast playing, or a high-volume sound makes a player a good musician. That's just not true.

  • The way the character of each note changes so dramatically and clearly in the 1/14 of a second allotted to each...

  • 好極了 速度急促卻能掌握住全曲

    每粒音符都清清楚楚

    右手的跳弓非常有力

    果然是Heifetz

  • 盲目的跟從不好喔 :D

  • UNBELIEVABLE.

  • much too slow

  • let's see you play it and see if you can win against a snail.

  • Find a recording thats just as perfect and faster then

  • haha wow some people don't get a joke...

  • lol

  • Thank you for providing the best quality recording of Heifetz playing this piece! All of the other ones on here are muted or have poor quality. :)

  • Wow...this is amazing

  • Heifetz en el mejor momento de su carrera
