    the group the Doubliners did a good version on a 3 tape set I got from an aunt on St. Patric's long ago recorded in the best plaqces to here the great music of our green heaven in its public houses with a glas of stout in your hand

  • @lumieredeux actually in ireland most people who live around the coast are fishermen and have been for thousands of years its the main source of money in ireland apart from farming...

  • @slid2k7 I never heard of this song until today. Fiddlers Green is also a song/poem about the Calvary soldiers who will never die or be forgotten because before they die they are to empty their canteen and come back to Fiddlers Green to fill it again. Thanks again, I think I have a good start on my Christmas list.
