Technically, this should only happen if the vehicle uses carbon-ceramic brakes, which are designed to work best at high temperatures. Steel rotors would probably melt or seize before they start glowing red as shown in this video. In Forza 2, all cars produce this glowing effect, regardless of the type of brakes installed.

Of course, the engine sounds in Forza 2 are great, but does anyone else think that the Forza 3 Gallardo sounds a bit worse? It seems to be missing that loud "BARK!"....

PGR4 is an arcade racer and not a sim one. I think the tracks on PGR4 is top notch and is really fun. Forza 2 can be a hardcore sim racer if you like, but it doesn't have F1 Indy cars in the game, only LeMans style racers only for their upper race cars.

well its supposed to have 700+ and GT4 had about the same amount so double forza, however there was no damage as the PS2 hardware couldnt handle that level of detail, yes the XBOX was a better system hardware wise because it was newer, and the PS2 actually has outlasted XBOX with worse hardware so not bad, so now GT5 will have damage as the new PS3 is obviously upgraded to handle it

Yes, over time, the brake dust and tire debry will be reflected on the side of the wheel arches. But it's always the same, it just increases in size and color when you do more laps.

gran turismo 5 is more likely going to be something comparable to Forza 3, forza 2 is too old for it. you cannot doubt the fact that Forza 2's graphics are simply "Better" if you see the release time between Forza 2 (being way earlier) and GT5P (which came out alot earlier)

They have improved on the sounds. You have to understand that gt5p was just something to keep people happy until the full game. That's why the sound isn't very good and the physics weren't any different from gt4. The full game will have it all. Sound, physics, graphics, and massive amounts of cars and tracks.

I pay close attention to gt5. I watch all the interviews, and read all the latest stuff on the game. The man who made GT said that they created a whole new driving physics system from scratch and threw away the old code. So the driving will be more realistic. They also needed to do that for the Nascar part of the game. And since the game was delayed, they have more time to work on the damage which is very good because right now the damage sucks. But they are inexperienced so it's expected.
