  • Joanna wanted to say not john, sorry

  • Legend or truth, I do not know but it says that John did not stop to bury the corpse of her husband for a long time and talked to her corpse

  • as Juana la Loca and her sister Catherine of Aragon Henry VIII's wife seems to love their unfaithful husbands and Catherine died abandoned and Juana mad as a hatter, in short, that both had more horns than a bag of snails lol

  • @MsPrenda1 Both sister had very bad luck in love and in life

  • Poor Juana/Joan she had such a hard life. I read a biography of her Juana the Mad. It was a very good read. It seems all Of Isabella's children suffered. Juan died of a fever he caught; Isabel died in childbirth as did Maria. Of course we all know what happened to Juana/Joan & Catalina/Katharine.

  • i don't see how this is a negative thing. call me demented, but i like the jealousy, i love the passion. Every reaction right below the surface, reading into every word I say or gesture I make. I am yours, now and forever, not because of fate but because you will it so. Because without me you cannot breath, you cannot see the rising sun. You cannot feel the breeze upon your skin, which decays and withers without my presence. Bound to you now and forever. To be loved in such a way! ojalá!

  • joanna the mad and her husband philip was shipwrecked and almost died in 1506 in a very bad storm, if it was not for henry viii rescue in 1506, joanna and her husband philip would of been dead.

  • Catherine of Aragon had more power than joanna de castilla did.

  • @carlag2506. Um better check again um no you're wrong. It was her husband's infidelity that caused her to have a breakdown. You see back then, if you checked women were supposed to turn a blind eye if their husband is cheating on them, if they don't and if they continued to stop it, then they were considered mad. What you are reading is the after effects of the pressures of her producing an heir or heirs, trying to please everyone, and her husband playing her until she broke.

  • Tell me please name of this song?

    Me he gustado mucho Juana.

  • There is Manuela Arcuri, famous Italian actress..!!

  • It's a wonderful video!! Now I like the history of Joanna of Castile... she was Katherine of Aragon's sister..

  • Just found out what the song's called! 24 Rosas!

  • The song's just sooo beautiful and moving!

  • LOL gotta LOVE Juana sniffing out sex on the sheets :58 seconds in.

  • whats the name of the song

  • a sacred madness of a holy nature

  • CRAZY BITCH!

  • "all princesses in europe did the same in that age".... thank God I live in this age!!

  • mckfrr I totally agree with you!!!!!!!

  • Michael Hirst should do a series on Joanna and her family.

  • @HistoryLover1550 agree!!! the Trastamaras!

  • @astrofabio68 I was surprised when I learned she was the sister of Katherine of Aragon, Henry VIII's first wife. I thought "Wow!"

  • @HistoryLover1550 yep...Katherine was in the line of the most powerful throne of the world in those age. I wonder what henry do if Katherine had been Queen of Castille, Aragon, Naples, the Americas and heiress of the title of empress of Bizancio like Juana...he had divorced her???

  • @astrofabio68 If he didn't want to risk his kingdom being crushed by the powerful Catholic Spanish Empire he probably wouldn't have divorced her. Maybe lower her to the position of mistress, which Katherine wouldn't have stood for, since Henry was desperate to have a male heir and England during his reign was not the superpower it would become under Elizabeth I, he may've stayed married to her while not considering her as queen. Interesting question.

  • how she treated is so sad :(

  • Me gusta tu respuesta :)

  • ¡¡¡Mi madre ha muerto!!!...¡¡¡Mi marido me engaña!!! Pilar López de Ayala, la hostia!

  • Queen Elizabeth II is her direct descendant :) Elizabeth II of the U.K. descends from the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha family and that line descends from Isabella I and Ferdinand II beginning with the 1636 marriage of Princess Elisabeth Sophie of Saxe-Altenburg (1619-1680) to Ernest I, Duke of Saxe-Gotha (1601-1675) (Elisabeth Sophie being a descendant through Isabella and Ferdinand's daughter Joanna of Castile).

  • @Hariszain111 intersting I did not know that. In those times it was quite normal to marry cousins off to each other.

  • @Hariszain111 All the royal houses of Europe are descendants of Juana la Loca and therefore of the Catholic Kings

  • Good job providing the perfect life for each of your children and their marriages, Isabel and Ferdinand, yep it turned out great for all of them, especially Joanna and Catherine.

  • @mckfrr Joanna and Catherine, poor princesses, sacrificed for reasons of state.

  • @125Nuria i totally agree wid u

  • @125Nuria all the princesses in europa in that age do the same....

  • The girl was not mad, okay she was pissed at her husband for cheating on her, but back then, women were supposed to look the other way and be faithful to their husbands, while it was okay for the husbands to be unfaithful, stupid. I am so glad I didn't live in those days, so glad.

  • @mckfrr I agree with you. Thank you very much.

  • @mckfrr very true indeed. I would have chopped off his dick if I lived back then & gone mad as hell. She was Queen though y not have lovers? I would hated the fact that my hubby was cheating on me specially if I loved him, but y not have lovers. I know 2 dont make it right but eases the pain. I would think.

  • @mckfrr agreed...I've been pushed over the limit by an ex and would go into shocking outbursts of pain, anger, confusion. Back then, I would have definitely been labeled crazy. However, it's completely understandable when you are put through such pain and betrayal and FORCED to still do the bidding of others.

  • @mckfrr Ummm Joanna was... she was mentally ill. It was discovered that she slept next to her husband's corpse!

  • who r the 2 women Philip cheated on Juana with?

  • I forgot who the redhead was, but the fictional character was Aixa -- a Moorish princess whose father was King of Granada. To strike back at the new monarchy, she placed a curse on Philip.

  • The Redhead was Enez/ Inez Jauna's lady in waiting.

  • It wasn't 2 it was lot's of women, he was well known for it.

  • What song is this?!?!? I love it!

  • It is a spanish song " 24 rosas" by Diana Navarro, thanks!

  • Juana showed that b*tch! hhahaa. "U sleep with my husband you look like a boy!"

  • I concur with that but I would be alot worse LOL.

  • What was this from?

  • It is from spanish film "Juana La Loca" (2001)

  • Between Juana and Katharine I don't know who's life was more sad?

  • @ForEverSnoopy both were very sad. Katherine was left by king Henry & Juana bueno you she loved a man that never truly cared for her. Thank god times have changed so much.

  • @ForEverSnoopy Ikr! I admire and pitty both of these strong women.

  • @ForEverSnoopy i think maybe Juana, because she was madly in love with her husband. I dont know for sure though; did Catherine ever fall in love with Henry?

  • Hi Nuria, that was fantastic, i love the music too. Could you give me a link to the DVD and music please.

As Always Nuria best Wishes and thank you for posting.

  • Juana/ Joanna and Catalina/ Katharine I think had the sadest lifes out of Isabella's children.

  • all her children ( except mary queen of portugal)had a sad or trgycal life.

the Prince John died few days before married, her elder sister Isabella the next heiress, died when her son Born, Joanna I the most powerfoul queen in the world, was declared mad and emprissoned by her own father and son, Katherine of Aragon refused by her husband and died alone without the title of queen far of her loved daughter...

  • I mean prince John died few days AFTER married

  • @ForEverSnoopy Thats very true :(

  • @ForEverSnoopy except maria Queen of portugal all their children had bad fates...Juan died in his honeymoon, Isabel the eldest daughter when give birth her only son Miguel who lives only 2 years....

    only Maria was happy

  • @ForEverSnoopy They all had messed up lives. Katherine was Henry true wife but u know how that ended. Men huh they'll never change. Ingrates!

Por cierto, ¿qué canción has usado? Porque es genial, me gusta mucho^^. Tus vídeos son preciosos:)

  • los videos de Nuria son fantásticos!

  • precioso vídeo! está estupendo, me encanta.

    un saludo!

  • I love the song! muy perfecto!

  • Thanks!

  • do you know if the actor's hair in the movie here, daniele liotti, was a wig or was it his natural hair? l'd like to have my hair like that

  • I think it is his natural hair

  • but anyways, could a wig still look like that? and is that hair cut in layers, as they say, or is it normal growth? l don't know much about these things

  • I don't know it

  • @SunSigil It's a wig. I saw a video of him being interviewed during production and he had it off. Still looks really hot, doesn't it?

  • Juana wasn't fit to be queen- Catherine should have been queen instead.

  • It was written in their mother's will...Isabella was too trusting to think that Henry VII or her husband would keep to the marriage treaty for Katharine to Henry. She assumed the crown of England would go to Katherine and gave hers to Juana instead. Politically, I think she didn't want to hand over her lands of Castile to Ferdinand, and judging by his wily ways and a lust for power, who could blame her for putting a speedbump to her husband's scheming?Sanity aside, she'd have been a great Queen

  • before Catherine was Mary queen of Portugalin yhe line of succesion, but Joanna was five children

  • Does anyone know where I can buy the dvd of this film, so that I can play it on a uk (english) dvd player?

  • One of the best historical films I've ever seen -- a jewel for those who are interested in the last royal family of fully Spanish blood.

A presto

  • Very lovely video, I love the music!

  • Doesn't here name translate as Joan? Maybe I'm mistaken. I really liked this movie. Netflix has the version with subtitles.

  • Juana is usually translated as "Joan," but sometimes it's translated as "Jane" too. In the Low Countries she was known as "Johanna," too.

    Patrizia

  • Great vid, this movie looks very good, do you know if there is a version out with English sub titles?

  • I don't know, I have it only in Spanish. Thanks for your comment, It's a good movie.Pilar López de Ayala is a wonderful Juana and Daniele liotti more handsome than Philip of Austria.

  • yes, they are.

  • I couldn't find a subtitle version to download, but I know there is a version with subtitles. I love this film! I cried so much at the end, the scene were a little Catherine goes up to her is so sweet. Amazing video!
