  • When people enter a store, they somehow forget that its employees aren't pieces of technology. So when an employees, figuratively, malfunctions, they erupt in an irrational flare of retardation.

    Really, all we need to do is remember that every person wearing a uniform has loved ones, dealt with heartbreak, and is equally as affected by anger as you are.

  • You know I think there's a vicious cycle that goes on between customers and employees where both are at fault....on one hand you have customers who like to bitch and moan about real small things and on the other hand you have employees who act cocky, who think it's cool to put on a...i don't know what to call it, an ignore act with non-rude customers at times, and are lazy. I think rude customers breed more rude employees and vice versa but I would say overall theres more rude customers imo.

  • damn, i work as a cashier at a grocery store and this lady comes to my line gets a shit load of baby items and doesn't know which ones are WIC approved, she holds up my line for i dont know how long and demands that i tell her which ones are WIC, I tell her "I'm sorry mam i don't know why you didn't get these other items on your WIC" then she gets irrate and tells me she is gonna report me to my manager. Customers can be so stupid and idiotic sometimes but some are nice.

They allow themselves to be quite abusive towards people they don't know in ways almost only police or trauma units are trained to handle, all because they believe "customer" somehow translates to "VeryFuckingImportantPerson". I don't understand how these people function in normal life, let alone have any kind of normal relationships.

    Seriously why don't people check to see when stores close? I hate when people do that. You could easily pick up the phone, call a business and ask "hello what time do you guy close tonight?" three seconds isn't going to kill you.

  • Ha. When our doors are close, or they are closing especially at night. We're not allowed to let ANYONE in no matter what they want. Safety reason.

    On top of that, once our registers are closed, we cant accept business.

    Because then we would have to count the drawer to make sure its right. Then we'd have count it down our starting amount. Put the drawer in. set the computers up, clock our cashier numbers in, wait, take their orders, etc. So I know what they mean.

  • She arrived after business hours, and after they closed all their registers. The saying "The customer is always right" leads to people like this. The goal of customer service isn't to do everything customers ask; everyone would leave with a $100 bill in their pocket. Sometimes you just have to say "no", and customers have to realize that not having every little demand met doesn't mean you're not being provided "good customer service". Thats the definition of "customer maturity";goes bot ways.

  • I disagree. Because I know how hectic it gets a night and once your register is closed and you're locking your doors what can you do?

    Especially at night. You have to think about your employees safety. One customer is not going to kill you business. Plus she came when they were closing, that's her fault. She could have easily found out when they closed ahead of time.
