  • As others have said, that's not PU hum, it's a grounding issue, that's why it disappears when the strings are touched

  • The buzz is because of the bridge ground on the tremelo claw...it basically turns your body into the ground when you touch the strings.

  • the hum is probebly because your amp isnt grounded

  • or in his garage the plug sockets arent grounded

  • thats what i ment to say but i cant write that good inglish

  • Warmoth/mighty mite and allparts are fender usa authorized to craft fender after market necks/body's and parts.

  • no offense. but probably the guy dont even know what he's talking about cause i have a deluxe strat us made with noisless pickups and doesnot sound hum whatsoever. no matter where ever i have my amp set up at.

  • Noiseless? That's mass noise!! The cheap guitar noise... so...noiseless with noise?

  • @112358miau its nothing to do with the pickups, it's not grounded properly.

  • Noiseless p/ups are supposed to be noiseless, are these wired up right ?

  • thats some serious stratty strat tone!

  • this is the standart stratocaster not the highway one

  • Balance The Pickups

  • You should use a noise gate.

  • did he say its a highway 1 or standard strat at the start

  • That HUM...is what called a 60 cycle hum. It's common to all single coil pickups.

I love Fenders and single coil sounds; but HATE the hum.

That's why I now use all NOISELESS single coils in all of my guitars.

One of the better ones is DiMarzio Area 58's and 61's.

  • What gets me is, why would you put an after market neck on an American made Strat and decrease the value of it! That just doesn't make sense to me.

  • Maybe the profile of the original neck wasn't comfortable to him? Maybe he got a lemon and went the custom route, rather than have some fretwork done on it. A high end Warmoth beats, or at least is on par with any Fender neck.

Decreasing value? Who cares?! I'd rather have a fiddle that plays well rather than an expensive piece of driftwood.

Plus, he probably has the OEM neck somewhere, which could be easily reattached should he decide to bring the guitar back to original spec.

  • I want that guitar

  • i got a highway 1 and im not impressed ... just save up to a deluxe or standard

  • not impressed ? your about the only one who's not. the highway one sss is one of the most versatile strats/guitars on the market. the Alnico III pick ups are simply tone superior ove the new american standards.the highway one is also the

real deal strat none of these extra bells and whistles the strats of today have and usless to most guitarist. my 2007 highway ones walk all over the new american standards end of story!

  • you've got a point there it's sounds terific but i got problems with mine gets realy quick out of tune

  • That's weird because mine can hold it's tune for weeks and I bend like crazy.

  • wat about the classic player 60's strat try and have a play with that i think its realy good

  • Classic player 60's i agree with mrsnialaedwards seems to be hum on other Highway 1 vidz on youtube

  • So what is it? an american standard or a highway one, quite confusing..

  • Nice strat, what year is that body? I got a 2002 model, with maple neck,I think they sound and feel great.

  • The thing that puts me off fenders is the scratchiness you get with the sound of the pick on the strings, does that annoy you? is there any way of preventing it. nice playing

  • if strummed more towards the neck the scratches add a sort of beauty to the tone. Listen to Smashing Pumpkins' "By Starlight" that's a good example.

  • you may wanna try télécaster then...

  • nice effects and nice playing

  • Your hand basically grounds the strings. I was hoping their noiseless pickups would be quieter than that. I've got an LP Clone w/P90's and it has less hum. Kind of sad since they're generic Korean made P90's and not a US made pickup.

  • looks like some ass is going around downrating all the videos with fender guitars in them. 5/5
