Roshan-Lata magic at work. This song ;Tune Haaye Merey Zakhm-e-Jigar Ko Choo Liya; and the Lata-Sudha duet ,Bansuriya Kaahe Bajaayi, from Aghosh are on my all-time favorites roster. The early voice of Lataji had a slightly nasal quality(due , I gather, to her sinusitis). That actually added more pathos to her songs when she needed to convey it with depth, as is evident here.
