  • I think for jazz listeners this a not rare groove..it is well know..Seawind is prized for its characteristic horns sound

  • I love Samba and Bossa Nova...the best latin music ever!

  • Sorry, there is no remixed version of this album.

I was referring to our new CD REUNION

Available on our website and on iTunes.

    Have a mistake on me-:)

  • Soundtrack to my prime......

  • Saw these guys 4 or 5 times in a little club on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City called the Baked Potato. Out of the blue I just remembered them. Fantastic.

  • Great percussion works

  • great tunesssssss.....

  • i own both the albums, they made my teenage years so much more enjoyable! and the worst thing was when they were exchanging hands at £100 each i never sold the m nowdays i couldnt give them away! but i never wouldX

  • My favorite SEAWIND song, love to sing to it, love the words. PRAISE GOD!! PRAISE YOU JESUS! GOD BLESS PAULINE WILSON AND SEAWIND. Love to all.

GOD BLESS YOU FOR POSTING THIS MASTERPIECE.

  • Jazzy man63

So many tunes I am seeking you have in your collection.

    Respect.

  • thanks for posting this

  • I finally found it! My first memorized lyric. What joy this. Millions of thanks

  • are we but a reflection of light? SHINE ON!!!!!JQ

  • i remember seeing them (seawind) at howard rumsey's concerts by the sea in 1978 back when it was in a small basement on redondo pier. nam that was cool to be so close and enjoying the great music.

  • @PacoLovesJazz Concerts by the sea.YES! I have such great memories. Wish I could close my eyes and wish to be back there again.

  • yes!!! - there are many who remember this kind of music - thanks people!!!

  • LOVE ME SOME SEAWIND!!! As usual, Pauline sings superbly. Have loved Seawind's music since first hearing them on WLBS-FM back in 1980.

  • This is probably the most beautiful recording ever made. Dig.

  • This album certainly should have been bigger than what it was. She is SUCH a beautiful singer.

    Kris Peterson

  • AWESOME!!! takes me to a special time in my life!!

  • Heaven sent to soothe the world........ listen good, take heed.

  • Just decided that this is gonna be my wedding song.

  • man oh man great beat...i love the video clip too, fantastic creatures. i still have her LP. thanks jazzman63

  • WOWOWOWOW

Seawind! Pauline Wilson had such a beautiful, natural voice

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • I wonder why Quincy didn't use Tower or Chicago when he was putting out some of the baddest music on the planet...hmmm...a never ending argument I suppose but fun to perpetuate.

  • @claskew1 - Interesting question. But at the end of the day I'm glad there is that unique "flavor" that is Seawind.

  • I've been a fan of Seawind since first hearing them on WLBS-FM when I was living in Detroit back in 1980. LOVE THIS SONG!

  • Everybody from brother Theo to Alex from Jazzanova were banging this all year, the comeback jam of the year.

  • My Big Momma and Big Daddy used to BUMP this!!! Imagine: Saturday mornings in Inglwood CA, the smell of bacon and maple syrup in the air, the buzzing of motorbikes racing the "dips" in the distance, the fond scent of Marlboro Reds, and the Awesome jazz stylings of Seawind coming from Big Daddy's stereo in the living room. Wow! Those were the days...

  • I loved Seawind! We essentially made them in Detroit on my ex-radio station, WJZZ. Unfortunately, Pauline left Bob Wilson and the band to run off with Jim Messina (Buffalo Springfield, Poco), as I recall. As of 2002, they apparently (with Pauline ) launched a new album. I wish them the best. They really were SO wonderful 30 years ago!

  • Kim Hutchcroft leads the worship ministry at my church, still playing and sounding great! Oddly enough I've been working with Messina since '05 too. Pauline came to our show a few years back and sat in....

  • Fantastic!!!!!!!! I've only got this on an old cassette tape - nearly worn it out. One on my fav's!

  • Tightest horn section ever...even tighter than Tower of Power.

  • Are you kiddin me? This group has a great horn section but not in the class of Tower of Power or even Chicago!

  • Dude, you have NO idea who these guys are?! Do a Google some time on Jerry Hey, Larry Williams and Kim Hutchcroft. They were the SEAWIND HORNS and have played on more albums than Chicago and TOP combined!

  • I'm talking Quality Dude! Not Quantity!

  • ken wild and bob wilson locked in. What a section!

  • Seawind - lost track of you for several years - you sound as good as ever and better than ever!!! L.Anderson

  • I also have the album.

could it be time to sell the collection, its all on here, well almost

  • As a result of your posting I am going to dig out the album. I had forgotten how amazing this and other Seawind tracks were.

    BJ

  • Free: Does that mean

    1) Unencumbered?

    2) Available?

    or

    3) Really REALLY cheap?

In any case, i luff this song.

  • I love this record.

  • is this the same pauline wilson who featured on all of YUTAKA'S grp albums?

  • yes it's the same lady

  • an old favorite - so beautiful and so well done with lyrics that touch the soul!

  • I love this song it on a Mojo club complitation! I need the original LP! thanks for the vid! Huuu Huuu..i can hear them singing.. so good!

  • Rare! Beautiful! Wow...thanks for posting this rare gem of a song from Seawind!

  • The band indeed is mixing their newest CD. Woodwind ace Kim Hutchroft heads the worship ministry @ The Packinghouse church in Redlands, California. It's always an honor to play my horn in front of him as he and the band were heroes of mine too in the wonderful 70's. Bud Nunez has also been out to the church to add his tasty guitar to the worship!

  • GREAT POST!!!! THANK U!!!

  • dang!!!!!!!! I Dont know what to say about this song. So many memories as a kid listening to this song on the way somewhere far away. Didn't understand how great this music was until i grew and now love it all.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Am so proud of fellow-countrywoman Pauline, her amazing vocals. Along with "The Devil is a Liar," this one is Seawind's choicest track!!

  • For all of you Seawind lovers they are doing a reunion CD. I can tell you first hand you will not be disappointed. The cut "Free" is awesome with more of a jazz beat than the first. Worth the wait.

  • i'm interested to hear news from you re. the cd. thanks

  • sent you an email

  • Is that right?! I can't wait. I seem to remember a cut called Let There Be Love (I think). Was that Seawind also? If you have it, would you ost it?

    Peace

  • Where can you get the Reunion cd, been to their Website and no info whether it's done and where you can buy it???

Been a fan for a long time!
