  • People need to open there eyes fracing improves production which lowers the surface foot print and also keeps the price of your toothbrush at $2 not $20. This is just the newest band wagon to jump on don't break you ankles when it's time to jump off

  • No we need to embrace some alternative resources. We are threading are MOST precious resource!

  • Wow, really.......big oil and gas companies raping the earth and in the process harming the plants, animals & humans that live on and near it with no thought of the long term repercussions....all for profit. This can't be happening. I refuse to believe that large multinational companies would ever behave this way.....i mean the really care about all us little people don't they??? ;)

  • What they don't tell you is that they rape our land and sell the gas to China.

WAKE UP PEOPLE THE EVIL ONE IS ALIVE AND THRIVING!

  • Mark Ruffalo a terrorist. HAHAHAHA America's so fucked up it's insane!

  • Who learns from history? My mom was killed by a lo pay job 30 yrs ago that gave her mesothelioma with its time bomb death today. Since 1922 they knew it was death. NOBODY ever answers for what is negligent homocide, lawyers file paperwork get their half & hospitals charge sveral hundred K for the few months they have left. The GOP will now tell us how frac will help us much like asbestos did, wheres Charles Bronson when you need a new villian to be shot in todays society?

  • Heritage Foundation that says it all. The most dangerous group other than the nazis.

  • If they can afford to pay such mighty sums to the property owners, one can only imagine the exorbitantly obtuse and unfathomably insane profit margin the frackers are reeling in hand over fist! Which of course, by logical extrapolation means: The consumers forced to pay a cartel monopolized, no market competition price for this gas are being obscenely overcharged to the full extent of being flat-out, royally ripped off, paying multiple dollars in product cost on each penny of production cost!

  • AND GET THEM OUT OF THE UK AS WELL! WE DO NOT WANT POLLUTED WATER, AIR AND MINOR EARTHQUAKES HERE EITHER; LET THE FACTS TALK; NOT THE MONEY.

  • In northern WV, my family was approached by Chesapeake energy because they wanted them to lease land to be used for fracking. When an attorney got involved, who is also a close relative. As soon as a water protection agreement came up in the negotiations, the negotiations ended. They weren't willing to risk being liable. What does that tell us? Chesapeake can't even guarantee themselves they can conduct their operations without contaminating the ground/well water, & streams with toxins.

  • FUCK THOSE CUNTS. SOMEONE KILL THEM. THEY DESERVE TO DIE A BRUTAL WAY.

  • Get solar........or wind

  • Money $, need I say more?

  • @kamphwagon1- do you understand the distance between the perforations and the water table? when they shoot the perforations in the horizontal section of the well, they are thousands of feet below the water table. The path of least resistance is the perforation of the cement and casing at various intervals! they would run completely out of sand before they could "rupture" enough of the cement to co-mingle to ground water! Talk to a petroleum engineer before you run with regurgitated liberal lies

  • @snotzboy so there's no need to worry about contamination because the path of least resistance is the one THAT IS most likely to lead to contamination?

fascinating. i especially like how the industry standard is to try and make all the bad stuff nucleate into a cloud of solvents and varying flavor of toxics. nothing beats small acrylamide polymers and benzene halides in your breathing air.

plus from the way that guy spells he might be an actual engineer and not a rig worker

  • Anyway, I work for a company and deal with autistic and mr people. that is what my expertise is. just trying to figure out the problem.

  • I don't post to yt much, so how do I know if someone is replying to my comments? Thank you.

  • and btw, it is interesting that RTV is showing a negative report on fracking, and there certainly are negs, and pos, but you can bet that they will use this tech in Rus.

  • The only answer for Mankind is to expand out into the Solar System, and to relieve the pressure that we are putting on Terra. Humans will have to choose what future we want. Hopefully humans will make the right choices.

  • you guys suck!!! there is nothing wrong with this practice....every now and again, the fishers caused by fracturing commingles the chemicals into an unpredictable stream. but to say they are putting it in the drinking water is absurd. I have been in this industry for 13 years and I ASSURE you, that there are so many stinking regulations for environmental safety, that it is hard to even get started!!! to say gas co's have free reign is a TOTAL LIE!!!

  • @snotzboy

You work in the company, you have absolutely no reason to open your eyes and see what WE, the people who live near this see everyday! From destroyed roads and trips that take 2x as long from trucks, to undrinkable water, to fish kills, to huge pipelines spiderwebbing over prestine country. I see this EVERY DAY! don't you Fucking dare tell me that isn't true! Your not paid to think for us, your paid to believe them.

  • @snotzboy He he it's like this guy youv'e only got a educated gusse as to where the frac winds up going it can either go where it was intended or it can rupture the cement job and make it's way into ground water , theres no 100 % safe frac it often contains acid in the first stage another enemy of cement followed by a mixture of sand guwire gum to suspend propent sand and chemicals , it's going to take the least path of resistance period ,up ,down or sideways no one knows !...

  • @snotzboy Oh how wrong you are! Slick Cheney got fracking EXEMPTED from the clean water and clean air acts and hence, quite effectively EXEMPTED for environmental regulation ENTIRELY!

  • gotta love our american ways give a guy a big pay off and hope for the best ie hopes they move off of the land lol

  • big oil, big gas, its all the same people.

  • GET THE AMERICAN FRACKING OUT OF IRELAND. THE IRISH WILL NOT BENEFIT. WE WILL BE HARMED BY THIS AMERICAN COMPANY , PLEASE HELP IRELAND, AND STOP THIS HELL ENTER IRELAND ,

  • @DamianDoubleday hmmm.. It's started across the water in Lancashire mate. Well at least they're trying to start it. Bastards.

  • @DamianDoubleday "Fracking" (correctly - fracturing, not spelled with a K) is NOT the name of an American company, it's a method of breaking rock using water and sand at high pressure.

  • @DamianDoubleday with ya mate occupy belfast on facebook

  • @DamianDoubleday Wish we could... hell, we wish we could get this American company out of America!

  • After us - the flood :D

  • I work for an energy services company and I have been on frac jobs on my land and on friends land.... never had a problem. And its call unconventional extraction because fracing is done to help formations that are normally too tight to release the gas they contain produce. It makes an unconventional formation more productive

  • America, please stop investing in new technologies to extract your natural resources, especially natural gas. Its hurting our pockets! PLEASE STOP! As you know, natural resources is the only thing the Russian economy's got left! WHY CAN"T YOU AND EUROPE JUST BUY IT FROM US?

  • Notice they were speaking at a Heritage Foundation, there or Fox. The folks most likely to cover the truth with lies about how they speak the real truth, which they don't know what we know that they think we don't know about all we know that they don't want us to know.

  • @avkurt.....and of course, involving and/or utilizing the Heritage Foundation means THE KOCH BROTHERS are bankrolling all THAT PR BS action as well...but certainly no surprise should manifest thereof, considering the koch brothers own pretty much the entire aging and often failing US' pipeline infrastructure!

  • @pinkpriss Don't know who wrote this but it was not me.

  • Mr. fuller only presents a half truth. The majority of US oil comes from the american continent i.e. Canada and Mexico.

  • I suppose that fracking should take place on the soil where haliburton's share holders live. Later there, where they have their vacation bungalows. And if they still want fracking, than we might talk about who will earn the profits. It's always easy to demand that such absurd "technology" should be used on other peoples land while the money goes in their pockets. This world is ruled by reckless criminals. Let's get rid of them. We can do without them.

  • The absurdity about this type of extraction is (apart from it's bio- and social incompatibility) is that the energy bill will remain nil.

The amount energy necessary for to extract the gas (including the production of and delivery of the chemicals) is the same as the energy of the gas. Since energy is still too cheap in the USA - a profit remains. This profit goes to haliburton. What you loose is soil, animals, plants, water and health. But haliburton will provide the medication :)

  • Petrobras will start to do some seismic tests in a couple days on the East Coast of New Zealand. A deal was signed with the government last year without people knowing about it. The tests will be carried out in the Raukumara Basin, an area that only yesterday a earthquake was recorded in.

  • they keep this shit up and not do anything to stop them all i can say is goodbye, nice knowing ya. Weather ya want to beleave it or not but if they keep drilling 8000 ft into the earth all around the world bad shit is going to happen. Esspesualy wen there not doing a dam thing to stop them from doing it. Beleave, say, thank wat ya want but its the truth. life on earth as we know it is screwed

  • effing Haliburton again?.....got their mitts in all of the U.S.

  • Fracking is usually only done on older wells that have stopped producing or production has diminished to the point that fracking would be cost effective .

Wells are not just "fracked" as a part of the drilling process.

  • @quadmasticate That's why fracking is called "unconventional extraction".

  • They dont have to poisen the water or the ground to pomp gas out!! These people dont care about nothing. They are Satanic and they are Evil, and no body is doing nothing!! Wake up for GOD sakes. Look at what you are eating, drinking and your air. Wake up!!

  • MOTHERFRACKERS

  • Remember that name Halliburton. That company should be tried for chemical genocide on the people. All in the name of greed. Thank Good ol' Bush administration. Halliburton should be tried in a international court and the people should be executed for crimes against humanity in the name of FUCKING MONEY.

  • This from Russain media and their government is doing teh same thing and want to get ahead of us on behalf of their economy wake up people.

  • @SBozsa1 so becuase there govt is shady too and are willing to go to the lengths of telling us the truth so they can continue to do it and get ahead..then we should just ignore it???id assume you dont live in one of the areas that have poluted ground water... bet you cant light ur bath on fire?? ever heard the saying that 2 wrongs dont make it right?

  • wait.. WHAT?

shit, you poor USA citizens are soooooooo bumfucked if you aren't even regulating, let alone overseeing shale fracturing processes at all o.0!

Not only as mentioned here does it affect the ground water supply, but it also greatly affects the geological stability of higher soil layers!!!

for crying out loud, stop watching TV and YT, go out, protest, demonstrate, show your government you care and that they should too!

  • @GronTheMighty where are you from???do they do NG fracking near you at all???

  • @hardhatg69 no, i'm glad that isn't done here in Denmark to my knowledge :s

  • Yeah, good job listening to the Russian Government influenced Russian Times all of you.

  • @MadPutz Why not look at what several sides to a story has to say? Somewhere in the middle you might find some truth. If you believe "your" media is unbiased and reports everything, then I envy your ignorance. Ignorance is bliss...

Cancerous drinking water that you can light on fire is a small price to pay for a few hundred dollars a month! The oil people should be given a large glass of the water they say is completely safe. See if they would drink it...

  • "Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power."

    - Benito Mussolini

    USA N°1!

  • FACT: Fracking has proved to ruin groundwater supplies, a pure ecological catastrophe. Protesters put on blacklists? our govt is so twisted, banks get a trillion$+ and middle class get fee-d to death.

  • and, so as the sun sets in the west we bid farewell to the Delaware River Basin..( can you drink gas ? )

  • I heard that you cun run your car on water, water runed car google it !?

  • Afraid of Chemicals? Heck yeah!!!!

  • Obama, where are you. Want your opinion, please. You cant hide forever.

  • @geir44 It's time for everyone to realize it's both democrats AND rebublicans that are puppets of the corporate powers.

  • Im not for government intervention in private industry..the simple fact is though..once you start interfering into the liberties and life's of other free individuals..thats not right

  • ah Mark Ruffalo... on the watchlist, as he is clearly a terrorist...right?

  • ah Dick Cheney, the man with no pulse.

  • @garrethdavis...... as well as no conscience, no ethics and no concern for anybody other than himself and his partners-in-crime of like mind, method and motivation.

  • @pinkpriss correct.

  • "I've got no strings

    To hold me down

To make me fret, or make me frown

    I had strings

    But now I'm free

There are no strings on me"-Pinocchio

  • How much power does big business really have? All the power!

  • this is a fraking joke

  • Natural Gas is American huh? Wow. Okay I am selling everything I own and moving,

  • Ugh! If there's one thing RT epically FAILS at, it's the conflation of free-markets and corporatismm.. You see 'FDA in bed with corporations', government writing regulations and influencing media, yet you still end the clip with this snide 'freer hand' bullshit..

Accountability is the nature of a free-market.

  • @FreiheitKampfer Like there is any accountability for the jewish big corps running US ?

  • Let's give RT a fracking applause..!!! : )

  • America is the best place to live in on this earth...

  • more proof of currupt ness

  • GET RID OF MONEY, REGULATE PROFIT MAKERS, SHARE WEALTH HARVESTED FROM OUR MOTHER EARTH...

  • i love fracking. i frack every night. sometimes my girlfriend and i frack with people we don't know for fun

  • @darris321 lollll

  • @darris321 RT is fracking funny... :>) Id' love to frack a couple of their reporters, starting with Anastasia Churkina..!

  • @darris321 LMAO

  • fucking liberals, lay off our energy.

  • "The public wouldn't understand"....didn't Helicopter Ben Bernanke say the same thing?

  • So, people who are catching their tap water ON FIRE is now normal? Nothing to worry about? Halliburton wont stop until they've figured out how to make money from any source area, screw it up at the same time, and blame it on people wanting to know why things like WHY CATCHING THEIR TAP WATER ON FIRE should now be expected to be normal. Energy Policy of 2005....who was Vice President then? Fields of cows just spontaneously die for no apparent reason all the time. It's normal now. Accept it.

  • @ThePresidentialTouch Sounds all normal to me.

  • This story is symbolic of what is wrong with our country (US) in every single detail of the story. The guy who said,"...the public wouldn't understand..." needs to have a 12GA shoved up his ass....

  • are you fracking kidding me?

  • deeply involved in the fracking industry....lol anyone watch battlestar gallactica this is hilarious!the dangers of fracking! lol so funny

  • @westwoodea LOL man, yeah, this is soooo jokes

  • deeply involved in the fracking industry....lol anyone watch battlestar gallactica this is hilarious!

  • Kristine Frazao has not done a report that is frivolous. Amazing journalist.

  • @bergen747 She's got a fracking nice set of tits.. : )

  • Soon it will be a lot more than tap water going up in flames.

  • Who stole Tessla's patents and research notes?

  • Why the hell isn't this headline news? These people need to be made famous for all the wrong reasons

  • @CokeSupply You're right ! I need to laugh more often..!! :>)

  • terror alert watch list? Homeland security = Homeland terrorists

  • FRACKIN' LIAR !!! he should be shot with hard little balls of his own shit and pissed on along with that chaney sunuva gun... dammit greedy people...

  • Great.... here we go again with the non-renuable resorces BS again. Just switch over to electric (solar, batt, alternate systems) or hydrogen fuel cells already!

  • @Peter4101 couldnt agree more, friend.

  • If fracking is causing property damage isn't that reason enough to start prosecution? Just prosecute them for damaging other people's property. This way you won't need to create more bureaucracy's, the people responsible will be punished, and the industry will have to find better ways of doing this on their own. After all, it's not like the government is competent, so it'd be better to have the industry regulate itself. Oh that's right, that would mean you couldn't expand the government.

  • holy frack hole batman!

    USA in a deep latrine!

  • anybody watch Battlestar Galactica? lol "fracking"

  • @santi781 lol i know, except that BSG spelt it as "frak"

  • I wouldn't trade my clean well water for that check. They are literally destroying the future with this BS.

  • The corporations are now the citizens of America protected and given rights. Everyone else does not matter.

  • Great Job RT!

  • Our country is Fracked.

  • Wait, what?! Why did the gas industry get the OK to poison Americans? Killing people, and causing birth defects is wrong, unless you're a fracking billionaire!

    Treason.

    1:08

  • wow the US is so FUDGED

  • They should be in fracking prison.

  • I from Colorado, fracking is ruining the ground water and killing animals/people. Now they are drilling on the mesa above my house.

  • "pullin a BP!"

  • and we sent back and do NOTHING

  • This is utterly disgusting!

  • I'm already terrified of all you money hungry companies that don't give a shit about people, and our health. Just like BP! This is why Hemp will never be legal, it would take back our country AND OUR EARTH...and bankrupt these RTARDS! Why would they grow something that absorbs Co2 carbons, and creates ENERGY, we could grow our rain forests back, Hemp is used for Textiles which would create jobs, which would create farming again.

  • FRACK YOU DHS

  • Battle Star Gallactica fan RT?

  • Because the public simply wouldn't understand? That's a dumb reason. This makes me feel all the worse since about four blocks away there's Natural gas drilling going on. But if those chemicals aren't hazardous i guess it dont matter.

  • Anything but renewable safe energy. Pump the Earth full of poisons, how could that cause a problem? The oil companies would never lie to you. Disgusting.

  • Uh-uh, RT discovered another hot topic to fry the imperialist America... only after this topic has been brought up by PBS, The Real News and even indie moviemakers (search for "GASLAND"). At lest in the U.S. they speak openly on the issue. How about reporting on fracking in Russia? No one seems to care, those who do keep their mouths shut. Oil & gas is even bigger and more corrupt in Russia than in the U.S. As for the technology itself, it is not new, google for "гидравлический разрыв пласта".

  • @LeadHammer Exactly, biased and ignorant. RT for ya.

  • Who cares about clean water, it's not like we need it or anything ...

  • Comment removed

  • Mr Lee Fuller is a little bitch to Satan himself.

  • wot the frack, smells funny, they use pig pooh to give it a smell because its a silent killer,..wotta gas so whats in frack huh!

  • This is destroying all the fresh water in our country. This is insane.

  • @AnotherAgnostic

OMG... its a local problem that should be solved by local means.

    Well water is getting hurt.

  • Now they will rape and pillage the U.S. of A just like they did all the other countries while U.S. citizens cheered it on.

  • Kristine, you're TOP!

  • the water out of the taps catches fire

  • EPA/FDA/The people=2 wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.
