  • LOL.

  • LOL

  • I nearly cried..than I saw that it is alive :)

  • This was so sadd :(

  • that looked painful

  • Riski really dropped the baby on that one...

  • hahaha imagine if this landed on your head, gross.

  • This video is very exciting, makes me cry! VIDEO AND MORE BEAUTIFUL TO SEE IN MY LIFE, LOVED!

  • hmmm... elephants are group animals, arent they suposed to let the elder females to help in the process of birth? as far as i know, elephats are not supposed to give birth alone.

  • wat a wonderful mom i wanna be like that (minus the whole kicking thing)

  • Truly amazing!

  • Where does this programming come from? How does the elephant know to do this? Why? .... beautiful! this is why people believe in God.

  • WHY IN SLOW MOTION!!!???*barf*

  • *shudder*

  • Is it weird that I have been watching animals give birth for the last hour?

  • Attta girl!

  • Thats some good meat. Could feed my entire Village. Shoulda killed it.

  • Most of the stuff that came out with the baby isn't actually blood, but amniotic fluid (with a little blood mixed in).

  • 1:55 is like going red water rafting and the ele wipes out, hard

  • Wow! I'm speechless. Who taught this mommy elephant to do such thing in order to save its newborn? It's a rhetorical question... We all know that LIFE means INTELLIGENCE.

  • @portinaribe god

  • CRICKY!!!

  • i LOVE LOVE LOVE how smart elephants are

  • Thats amazing

  • In the wild elephants choose grassy sites or soft earth, not solid concrete. I think this baby was stunned by landing on concrete. In the wild the body fluids get absorbed into the earth. This poor creature had to slip and slid on them due to the concrete. Another reason for keeping animals in their natural habitat. When we interfere we create problems, animals should be left wild, not in captivity.

  • The 3x replays of slow motion vagina water was crucial!

  • Elephants are amazing :)

  • Splash of blood, well thats one hell of a ride.

  • OMG, why was there no cushion for the baby? At least have some hay or something!

  • That was so amazing !

  • Just in my opinion i think that if they had just put some like hay in the cage thing, that might have hepled a little... But still DorneyParkFan98, You are right they are meant to drop onto hard earth/ground so no need to worry guys :D

  • Ok so all you people who keep saying stuff about a hard floor: In the wild, the babies are dropped onto hard earth. They are meant to drop onto hard surfaces. They are not mean or cruel for not helping either, for if they did, the keepers could have gotten killed because the mother would not want anything near her baby and would most likely attack them. Instinct kicks in and therefore, assistance is only needed if the mother does not accept the baby.

  • 9/9/09 - Pretty cool!

  • How sweet to watch this mother giving birth to her baby. It's amazing how nature provides the mom's with the instinct to check and clean the baby directly after birth and to take care of it as a mother would. Very sweet... yet a little scary that all that came out at once during delivery.

  • The people at this safari park are barbaric and criminal in their behavior to NOT have provided this mother a soft flooring on which to deliver her baby. I was disgusted and sickened. It's amazing the baby survived that crash to the cement floor and totally avoidable. If that stupid man commentator is an example of the staffing there, then they should be investigated. Don't they have animal rights in Bali?!?!? Outrageous.

  • You know, videos like this would have gotten me pretty damn close to throwing up when I was a kid, but now I'm 16 and I've learned how beautiful nature is and its' everyday miracles like this one. Just thinking out loud.

  • 20 months of peirod

  • Aww, this is so sweet :) Elephants are such passionate mothers, it's amazing to see!

  • That is AMAZING. Nature at its best and showing us that we aren't the ONLY intelligent life forms on this planet.

  • did this baby will watch this video after grown?

  • I just crapped myself.

  • That was so cool & good they left the elephants alone. Mommy knows best after all. Elephants are so beautiful and intelligent!

  • I love how the little baby walks!

  • WHY DID I WATCH THIS

  • so amazing!

  • jeepers give me a break here, i was just born, what do you want from me anyway, lol!!

Wow absolutely amazing. I have never even seen kittens born, its like a river of water, OMG.

    Worth the watch for sure!!

  • Nikki is one smart elephant,,she knew what to do to get baby to breath and then get up on her feet and walk,,,amazing and Ive never seen that much afterbirth,,, holy crap

  • sooooo much bloooood

  • cool

  • 2 years of pain, imagine how much blood and fluid she flushed when the baby droped

  • My name is Niki tooxD

  • god....when the child fell on concrete floor with a thud ...i was like oh fuck!

  • this made me a lil emotional when i heard her make noise cause the baby wasnt breathing, but great job mom

  • Oh thank goodness. I love elephants. I would be heartbroken if it didnt survive.

  • The Mom wanting the baby to wake up made me Cry! lol This was sooo amazing absolutely sooo happy the sweet baby survived! I can't even put in to words how this video make me feel!

  • Wow, very moving.

  • i wonder how the babies live through that...

  • If the baby had not had to land on hard concrete but on the jungle floor then the landing would have been more gentle. Also the amniotic waters would have soaked away

  • Shows just how much we rely on others. Our child would be rushed away for help us doing nothing.

A mothers instinct is amazing, so beautiful

  • fuck u everyone and every animal deserves to live u r the only exception keltickid747 bitch!!!

  • its the waterfall of blood!!!!!

  • @TheWolfCrazyGirl No, that's the amniotic fluid which has been protecting the baby against knocks while inside her mum's womb.

  • @sarahcyn xD i know but it looks like a waterfall of blood XD

  • For those wondering how it saved the infant's life. Did you notice that she was kicking it's chest and realigning it to kick its chest more. It is the equivalent to CPR when you press rapidly on a human's lungs in accordance to estimated breathing pattern to start their breathing back up. Then she lifted the head and snout to drain fluids from both the snout and throat. Elephants are intelligent. They make the connection to air giving life. lungs expand and shrink. And fluids get caught.

  • @ChameleonicRenegade cool thanks

  • after watching this made me realise what mom's went through . just for you :)

  • WOW i just saw a waterfall made of blood and dead sperms yuck

  • @happydamned No, that's the amniotic fluid which has been protecting the baby against knocks while inside her mum's womb. It's mostly water and just like what surrounded you when you were a baby

  • I nearly cried when the baby was breathing the first time.

  • It is mostly amniotic fluid mixed with blood, it looks the same when humans are born. A big gush!

  • wow! :-) gotta love moms!

  • amazing,a mothers instinct is always best

  • Aren't mums amazing?

  • The baby is so cute when it started standing and walking. Incredible

  • That was incredible.

  • thats a lot of ... liquid..

  • shit!!! why he didn't die !!???? chit!!!

  • I'm gona go try kick my sister like that!!!

  • i can't believe what i just saw. The way the elephant mother helps her baby to breath just amazing. I was worried that she would kill it with those kicks but it turned out to be very helpful. she acted like a human. still can't believe it............

  • Not gonna lie I wasn't quite expecting it to be that gross

  • Elephants never forget.. how to beat the living crap outta their young! (in order to save their lives of course lol) man, i cried..

  • @FatChixx97

  • Outstanding piece of film!!

What a clever mummy.. if a little vigorous?!!! I find myself gasping with the baby every time I see it. Thank You.

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I thought it wasn't gunna make it!

  • why did she keep kicking the baby! what a biatch! buy at least its alive! :)

  • @romankh69

She kicked it to get it breathing.

  • That baby is so lucky to have a mother like that!

  • Ohhhhh so this is what happens when humans don't meddle. I'm sure these animals find humans annoying sometimes always thinking they know better than nature. I was afraid the baby was stillborn but the mother saved her by wacking her like a sledge hammer, elephant babies are tough!

  • @quirkychic1984 yeah you realize we are a part of "nature", too, right?

  • @quirkychic1984 Also notice that she is kicking it with the flat shin, not a pointed toe. You can compare it to a slap versus a punch. And elephants are DAMN tough. Haha.

  • awww thank god.........what a good mom. its so sweet when you can see shes worried....thank god the baby was alright.

  • Go mama elephant! Amazing how nature just gives them the resources. I wonder how humans would have coped if we had stayed as cavemen...although with the mortality rate having lowered so much maybe its good we have doctors now, although one has to wonder, maybe nature was trying to not overpopulate with humans. Oh well. Elephant, you have my utter most respect.

  • 3:45 (L)

  • That Was So Pretty!

  • YES SHE CAN

  • wow blod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • freaking HILARIOUS

  • Ahhhhh.!!!

  • Um okay btw I watched the video and the baby fucking lives! Don't say it died when it didn't. Also it was a very moving video on how the nature of life can over come ones perspective

  • Wow , wonderful mother . I mean the poor mother elephant had to wait two years to see the baby be born and come to find out the baby is not breathing . I would of freaked out too ! I would of tried with all my heart to be my baby ele breathing ! i'm glad it worked out though ! yay ^_^ !

  • im cry-ang ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • Wats That Guky Gooy Stuff ?

  • @SuperShawnbell thats the afterbirth....

  • big animal, big birth wooooooooooooooo.....

  • wow..... a fountain of blood.... jeez.... omg

  • Birth is messy, people. Get used to the idea if you ever plan to reproduce. :P

  • What a great video. Haha I have to say that the slo-mo was a bit unnecessary though lol.

  • YACK

  • it may seem gross but hey it's the beauty of nature and life

  • Nastiest stuff I ever saw!

  • It's heartbreaking that she's giving birth in a cage.

  • That is a lot of fluid/blood and yes the baby lived!!!!!!!!!

  • Woah.. They have a quick birth! How much blood?? I was almost crying when the little one didnt move!

  • OMG! the nature is amazing

  • Why was there so much blood coming out>????????????

  • that wuz a lot of fluid

    saddest thing @ start

    happiest thing @ end

  • The gift of life. that was AMAZING! Im glad the baby lived or I would be heart broken and traumatized.

  • The gift of life. that ws AMAZING! Im glad the baby lives or I would be heart broken and traumatized.

  • omgosh at around 3:35 when she starts wrapping her trunk around the babies trunk, trying to lift its head, she seems to be begging the baby to get up.. this is just absolutely heartbreaking until the baby takes its breath a few seconds later... this is so beautiful

  • sad

  • i cried

  • @linlou824 me too

  • That was one of the most amazing vidoes I have ever seen! :o)

  • holy hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no nonsense mother

  • the mum looks very painful. T_T

    oh My god the blood.

  • its brilliant how nature knows what to do in those situations

  • lol soo much gunk i wanna drink lol

  • lol soo much gunk i wanna drink lol

  • its so cute i cryed when when the baby elephant took her first steps =)

  • what i dont understand is why let her give birth on concrete, baby was proberly stunned.

  • my god, i puked a little when they did the slo mo

  • Oh crap.I'd rather die than have a whole pool of blood splash on me when I'm born

  • Birth is amazing and can be very sad it's kinda gross when try slow it down and it just goes splash and it's kinda gross

  • at first it looks like a big gray blob of silly putty

  • Awesome and informative vid :P Had cuteness, drama and suspense :P I could have done without the repeating tsunamis tho thank you ;)

  • watch the "elephant birth" video by neil kaufman.

Then ask yourself if this birth of Riski was natural or not. Riski is being born into a world where people want to make a profit from keeping them in captivity.

  • It seems so brutal and harsh... but then, she has to get it to breathe, and it has to stand up and move to avoid predators. Though, some grassy fenced area might have been better than a concrete enclosure? Still, a happy ending.

  • why is the elephant on concrete and not on grass or dirt? seems odd for it to be on a hard surface like that.

  • wow oooh my God!! Nature is more than great

  • thats a lot of blood!

  • Ej, bez kitu nie powinni takiej słonicy zostawiać przed porodem w betonowym boksie, skoro wiedzą że rodzi na stojąco. Prawie się poryczałam, jak jeszcze nie wiedziałam że jednak przeżyje...

  • o szal.pl

  • truly remarkable

  • It would be more beautiful if the baby were born in free nature, and not in darkness, landing on cement floor...

  • great vid but thats a lot of blood
