  • Cool. Machcool. Danke. Merci. Thanks.

  • The Blue Max theme, perfect. Pretty planes.

  • The Buchon looks more like a spitfire that the aggressive more beautiful (IMO) German version of the 109

  • Is that an original FW-190 or a re-production copy of it?

  • @haiherosner

One of 21 new-build series reproductions that are not 100% original but very close, some incorporating wartime parts. Only one authentic and original WWII Fw190 has been restored to fly starting in 2011 and a second is still in restoration.

  • @FiveCentsPlease Thanks for the Info,on the Fw-190, I appreciate it, it's nice to know there will be more flying examples of this beautiful war-bird!

  • One of the best fighter of WWII! And the Arsenal Vg33.

  • The German aircraft were definatley the coolest looking of all the WW2 birds .Awesome camo schemes .

  • the fw 190 is a airframe that was classic in all factors mr kurt tank did well with his team, of toolmakers sheetmetal guys, and avionics guys and load stress guys, this plane is comparable to the mustang and hellcat, and spit, in its modifyed versions

  • Thank you... WOW

  • I had opportunity to sit in this airplane. Very cramped for my 6'6" frame. Would have loved to take it out for a couple spins around the field!

  • Thanks for this great clip !!!

  • Hey BMW !

wake up and at least help get BMW801 engines back in the air again!

This is HISTORY ....don't dismiss it !

  • I understand it might be tough finding BMW radials from the nazi era. Or parts for them.

since it was a 14 cylinder, how close is it to the Wright R2600?

  • The song is not from the battle of Britain, its from WHERE EAGLES DARE.

  • What engines are in those FW190s?

The Bf109 doesn't look right without the inverted Benz engine.

  • @Tremolux59

The engines are Russian-designed, Chinese ASh-82 14-cylinder radials to replace the hard-to-find BMW. They were a good choice being similar in size, weight, and power as the original BMW 801. The first WWII original, BMW-powered Fw190 is now in fight testing and a second one is completing restoration.

  • That is one aircraft, pure function. It has such great lines. I am a true Brit and love the Spitfire but the Germans built some amazing aircraft, great designs.

  • That is one fine bird!

  • why does he have a shute?

  • All of Them are just so cool!

  • if i m the 1 who wants to replicate a ww2 radial engine plane

i would rather put a turbo props like the same use in tu-95

  • FANTASTIC to actually see one flying! So few left now , most of them are scattered across Europe and hardly recognisable, great!

  • Nice video, good shooting, but destroyed by inappropriate and unnecessary music.

  • Is the ultimate goal here to recreate the whole german airforce of the war ?

  • It would be nice to see the Buchon in Spanish colours...

  • Wrong engine in the ME109. Supposed to be an inverted V.

  • @mxz0107 : if I understand your style, you prefere "porno" sound ?

  • @mxz0107 the song is from the classic movie Battle of Britan

  • @mxz0107 You must be deaf , I can hear the Aircraft just fine .

  • i restore classic aircraft for my living, mostly dhc-2- and kurt tank- that guy! wow! what a plane! the later vesions were better in my view- than the best the americans and russians and british had. no offence ----im an american.

  • still get tears seeing a fw190

  • its just too bad there are no more flying Stukas left

  • "Like" x 1 000 000 000 ... thanks uploader

  • ¡Gran video! 5*****

  • Why doesn't Duxford fly the Flugwerk 190 they have had for years?

  • @IIJG27Rich

It's a paperwork issue with the British CAA. I think it's been sold and will fly in Germany now where rules are less strict. Essentially, it's a replica aircraft not conforming to 100% original blueprints and can't by type-certified as a Fw190. Flugwerk did make a number of changes and their parts are not direct-fit replacements for an original Fw190.

  • Damn... how much would a replica cost?

  • Geeze....why does everybody have to add music to screw up the sounds of the engines?

  • Superbe vidéo , qualité images d'enfer , son ( on s'y croirai ) , bon montage , enfin quelqu'un qui sait tenir une caméra !

  • Not only one but two FW190s!!

  • Just Love The Hurricane !

  • At 01:53

Hawker Hurricane flying over...meat on the table for a Fw-190A.

    Think about it....

compare the Butcher Bird to any American aircraft deployed in 1941 !

Somewhere Josef "Pips" Priller is smiling.

  • And then Joeef's smile turned to a frown when an Austrian designed the Mustang.

  • @kbroma01

(Col. Josef "Pips" Priller, Western Front FW-190 Ace with 101 victories cross-verified by RAF documents.)

In late 1941, better than the Spitfire Mk V in all aspects except turning radius below 25,000ft .

Two years later Schmued's P-51B appeared in GB on December 1943.

I thought he was born in Germany?

    Btw, I LOVE the P-51 !!!

  • By 1941 most Hurricanes had been converted to fighter/bombers or tankbusters n were deployed in Africa or Russia.

  • @paul6t4

correct, effective with bigger cannons against the earlier thinner-skinned Panzers and of course Italian "tanks"

Just found it interesting to have one flying by at just the right time during the video.

Okay, I'll admit it...I've watched this video at least a dozen times! ;-)

  • Wooooow No I actually can hear how a Focke wulf sounds like in modern times!! amazing

Glad the war is over, and those wonderful aircraft stand next to eachother! Stunning Western technology masterpieces!

  • WOW!!! JUST WOW!!! Thank you Flugwerk for creating these.... THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!

  • Amazing video, so good to see one flying! Thanks for posting.

  • omg! what a beast!, what a prop! as an american, i can speak for, alot of enthusiast,.. omg!

  • Great videos. Have been a member of the Air Museum of Britain for many years now. One of my dearest friends is an Air Traffic Controller at Duxford. Only been to the UK & Duxford once in 1999.

  • Gotta get that B-25 camera plane to do some formation shots of this!

I'm talkin' up close and personal shots !!!!!

I need to thank you again for this video.

    History has returned !!!!

  • Wonderful. Thank you!

  • What happens when a P47 meets a FW190?

  • Good-bye P-47.

  • Interesting how the German and British planes' tires sat at angles and not vertically.Must have went through alot of tires on these planes. The FW 190 is one mean, fast and beautiful looking plane! I read that the magnesium parts are the hardest to find and restore for these engines but these days there should be a suitable alternative material to use.I plan to go to Oshkosh in June to see a P-47 and a Fw 190 in person for the first time.I just love radial engine machines.Especially P-47s!!!

  • I NEVER thought I'd see an FW 190 fly, if I could only see one in flight in person!

  • is it not hard to see infront of you in these planes when you are taxiing?

  • @ztkz1

thei zig zag almost all the ww2 fighters had this problem aspeciali the P51

    P.S. excuse the writing

  • WW 190 brutishly good looking. in many ways a better looking plane than the Spifire

    IMO

  • that is one smooth sweet sounding radial.

  • I wonder if those FW-190s flying today still have the original BMW radials? Those engines allowed for blistering speed and agility.

  • it's a chinese replica i believe in the FW on this vid, but i read they are restoring an original BMW to go in it

  • @SS3Heydrich

I thought I read somewhere that although the engine is Chinese, it is a largely BMW 801 engine that was reverse-engineered by the Russians from captured examples.

So the power and "sound" is correct.

Thanks for the possible news of a restored BMW 801...that would be something !

Gotta make it to Duxford and the Imperial War Museum in GB.

This impresses the hell out me!

    History lives.

5 stars but please allow for a little more engine sound please!

    "Where Eagles Dare" baby !!

  • Lex5576 I was wondering the same thing regarding the original radials. Parts must be a major concern, but if the right people have access to original plans...parts can be made. This is great. Me262 in flight on youtube, now an FW190. I'd love to see these birds in person!

  • Beautiful aircraft! I didn't know the Germans won "The Battle of Britain!"

  • This vid would be priceless IF you haven't continued the music ...you should have stopped it when the action starts.

    Just a piece of advice.

    5/5 rated

  • great footage! 5 stars + faved

  • La medicina contra el Spitfire Tommy, sin duda alguna el mejor caza de la Segunda Guerra Mundial!

    Horridooooo!!!!!!!!!!

  • Focke Wulf planes rules!!!!!!!!

  • @MarkFockeWulf

Focke Wulf for ever!!!!!!!! "The Butcher Bird" ROCKS!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks ...good to see !!!

  • Thanks for posting!!

A buchon is better than just Mustangs and the like. And channel front colors on an A8?

    Not that big an error.

I loved seeing especially the Focke Wullf!!!

    Again, many thanks!!!

  • Yes, that Bucheron is one fugly bird and a disrespect to the Bf 109, not to mention that the Luftwaffe stopped using red in numbers and ID markings not long after the start of the invasion of Russia, with the exception of some RVT (Reich Defence) bands.

Among serious WWII aviation artists, the schemes for those two FlugWerk Fw 190s are called "clown paintings", in that they're not historically accurate. Black 1 wears an Fw 190A-2/3 scheme on an A-8 frame, while the other has many small errors.

  • 3:07 What a nice shot.

  • That Buchon is one UGLY bird, and I agree, it should have never been in Luftwaffe colours...

  • Wow! great footage! Ps I can see I was satading right next to the cameraman! :D

  • Absolutely gorgeous footage. I can't wait to finish my 190. Thanks for providing great reference shots.

  • Many thanks for preserving the past.

    Wonderful Slide Show.......

Bring em to Canada one Day.

    Dream on.

  • Bravo, I do hope Heinkel 111 can in flying conditions.

  • Lelystad here we come!!!

    Den Vijand Luftwaffe re-enactmentgroup

will be there to spice up the FW190 !!

    ASHPD

  • We were there as the crew of the DBAF B25, can only say: respect for all the hard work to get this aircraft flying!!

    Great show!

    We had a great weekend!

    Hope to meet again!

  • The Buchon is both underpowered and butt-ugly. They shouldn't paint it in Luftwaffe colors. The FW190 however is something else! had it been powered by a Daimler-Benz inline frome the beginning it would have performed even better than it did.

  • ...my words, its a shame, to wear the luftwaffe colours.....

  • yeah ok but can you tell me where to find a daimler benz? and who will take the costs? the 109 need a new form for the new engine and so far...so they let the buchon be....also on the FL they only show originals....the fw 190 this year is the only one thats no original

  • Worth the time arguing with a doofus on YouTube? Don't think so. Nothing of what you said is new to me, but you couldn't have known that. It's easy to contradict and question, more difficult to contribute to a meaningful conversation. Most people here on YT either can't or don't know how to do the latter.

  • doofus? dont be childish, it was my argument to show you that wishes the one, but realize the other point is, so that you can think about it...i dont have to tell you the facts why they dont do that cause they are clear, read it again...

if you know that and dont wanna waste your time so let it be instead of writing things they dont matter ;-)

  • I still think the Buchon should be painted in it's original colors and not pretend to be Luftwaffe, because it's not and never was. It's not even representative of what the Luftwaffe had.

  • there you are right, i dont like it too

and i cant understand why people name it as a 109....

the buchon isnt the worst plane, but of course its not a beauty...but the luftwaffe, like all other airforces too, had also worse and uglier planes :-)

  • Hello, no the FW is a replica (new build) and the Me109 is a spanish variant (Buchon) of the german fighter with a Roll Royce engine ...

  • @vatanenwarbirds ........which was used in the movie "The Battle of Britain" along with the Spanish Merlin-engined He 111's!

  • great plane man is it a replica or real

  • interessting is, that the fw 190 had a chinese motor i guess...the ASch 82

  • Die Nase und Motor der Bf-109 sind nicht original, aber die Qualität der vid id hervorragende und ich haben, um mehr zu sehen!

  • Beautifull all.Congratulation.Super Five Stars for you.I had enjoyed to see it.See you :) Atte:Andrés (IBB126).

  • Nice job guys!!

  • Nice to see!

  • same ..thanks for posting this very good video, please post more ..5/5
