back in the late seventies me and my cousin used to sneak into City College to dance to this jam with all those fine women who were just trying to relieve stress between classes no one does it better than the NYC.....
tears well in my eyes my dear friend used to loooove this record everytime I hear it I think of what a great friendship we had ....gone too soon dat summer of 81....
this was one of my favorites mme and the boys used to sneak int City College just to dance with the older chicks Ahh! those were the days take me back to the seventies PLEASE no fighting jus dancing and wondering which chick you was going to make your girl for that summer(smile)
I was actually blessed with 50 copies of this by John Brown with the beautiful chore of spreadin the Sunshine to the masses. Great hit, a number 1 with a bullet Summer anthem. Im just know realizing how blessed I was along with everyone else that was there in those moments at the PG, ZANZ, BETTER DAYS. MMW
THESE WERE THE SONGS THAT WE USED TO LOVE TO SING AT THE PARADISE GARAGE. THIS SONG INSPIRED JOY, LOVE, AND EVERYONE SANG IN UNISON. DAM, I MISS THOSE DAYS,.ESPECIALLY WHEN I HEAR THESE SONGS. AND THE RADIO PLAYED WAY AFTER LARRY HAD MADE IT THE ANTHEM OF 1981
OK...I'll admit that LL brought me here...but I love good music. So thank you LL for the sample otherwise I would not have discovered the talent here :-0
I never realized until recently just how popular American music was so popular in London. I just never thought other people outside my culture had even heard these tunes. I am glad to hear that just as many Londoners enjoyed this just as much as we did.
THis is one of the best group songs I've ever heard in my whole life..for the fuk error..music is my energy it helps me get through life and another day feel me..(:
I went on football tour in 1983 with 15 lads and we had a huge boom box in the minibus. Played this all the time and even got it played in Chelmsford at a night club we ended up at. King William IV FC boys, remember this? Thx for posting.
the London Scene was the best, i will never forget it, - i would love to go back just one more time, the clubs, the clothes, guys that danced, wonderful memories

At the car wash drying out my 72 Caddy Coupe Deville, with this blasting out my doors was the best Relaxation I had. Best thing was EVERYONE loved club music then.
The first memory of this song was in 4th or 5th grade. A girl named Kimberly J. brought the album into school. This was a catholic school, St. Patrick's. Sr. Barbara (I think) was about to make an announcement and pulled the needle from record at the most pivotal point---"I often fly away, where the sun always shine, 8 days a week, cause there'll be...........Had to wait to hear it on the radio. Will always associate this song with that memory. Taught me the meaning of anticipation.
This song always reminds me of cruising through Brooklyn on the BQE on a bright sunny morning in springtime, windows down, muBrisic playing, warm sun. Best of both worlds, being British and in the funkiest city on earth listening to this music.

yeaah..! I just was browsing around for a song with similiar title and managed to listen this one.
ohh I remenber this song too, used to love listen to it on radio because of the instrumental compositions and song and background singers .
But this version isnt just that one I i remember even though all instruments are there??
Could be another group made it same song or a cover of it??
4evermusic61 1 week ago
@4evermusic61 There's two versions. One is the original which starts off differently than this one which was re-mix by American DJ Larry Levan.
