  • Nice! Good suggestions. I am a white belt and those little details help a lot when working from the closed guard. But also don't forget to move your hips to the side and not just stay in front of your opponent and battle to break his posture. Move!

  • As a white belt I've been concentrating on breaking my opponents posture when he's in my guard. This was really helpful, thanks! Especially the idea of climbing the heels and legs up.
