yep thats what i want to do. i emailed you from ebay about running a 750g boat. would it be possible to put a bigger flywheel on it cause that way i can get more speed from the engine because the boiler i made can run up to 47psi max.
In the video the engine is running on less than 5 psi (at a guess 3). If you ran the engine at 47 psi you would probably need to make sure that it was loaded, as if it were unloaded it would spin so quick, that I would be surprised if its lifespan were shortened. You would also need to replace the tension spring with a stiffer spring, otherwise the cylinder's seal with the engine mount would be compromised.
Hi, yeah I think that it could run a small model boat quite well. How would you couple it to the prop shaft? Perhaps you could have a groove machined in the flywheel and run a belt from the flywheel to the prop shaft. Cool idea!

Yeah, the flywheel is removable. You just have to undo the nut holding on. The shaft is 3mm.
