  • I watched this in 1995 - 1999

  • I remember this one... altogether now.. 'Bertha's Best.... Bertha's Best.... Bertha's Best.....

  • How big were those phones to not even fit in a filing cabinet. Im sure Bertha could have built a little Nokia if they set it right.

  • did I ever have a toy of that robot?

  • That tea lady would have been first for the chop.

Ted was actually a Marxist Leninist subversive, ultimately he wanted to overthrow the government.

  • that robot sucks at cleaning for real

  • class!! my baby loved this show! he is 15 now and we found the vhs of it in a charity shop in 1997!!

  • I used to think it was wierd the way the characters eyes bulged out when I was a kid

  • Who needs CGI?

  • Does anyone have the rest of the episode?

  • A true zietgeist of the socioeconomic and political conditions that produced it.

  • remember the one when burglars took all the factory wages. i won't spoil it for you kids but a classic ending there.

  • plastiline cartoon?

  • Omfg. Trip out flashback.

  • LOLOLOLOL i LOVE this show!!

  • Hmm, I can recall the show you're on about (I'm 11 years older than you), but I can't remember what it was called either.

  • this was one of my fav shows as a kid

  • No wonder they don't show this to kids anymore... teaching them to stand up to authourity and that the workers have the power.

  • Loved this show in the 80s. Looking at this clip now its a damming indication of middle managment

  • my favourite one is the hot day.. with the bear balloons... haha when mrs mclackerty tells the boss there was a flying bear!!! has anyt one got it?

  • Awesome show!

  • Does anyone have the Tealady getting sacked one , that is the best one!

    from penny

  • I remember that!!!! hahaha she ought to have got on the bell to her local union. Bet it was that ted....

  • so...... It was terrific...

  • Bertha in Spanish? = (

  • the tea lady is defo where mrs doyles character from Father Ted came from lol i have 2 berta annuals in a closet somewhere

  • I used to watch this cartoon many time I go but with spanish dub.

    Cool.

  • Tom's funny!

  • I always wondered wny the puppets looked so similar. Also in the bertha

episode the Burglars the alf thompson and ted glen models r used.

  • Nice tea-pot. It's on a par with my milk-kettle

  • OMFG I Can't Belive They Made A Show About Dolls My Name Is Bertha!

  • Teapot, three spouts... genius!!

  • that little robot thing!!! i'd forgotten all about the little dude...man, im freaking out so much right now!!!!!!

  • bilderberg group the best tv for children education amazing recomended

  • why?

  • I contacted entertainment rights, the company who have taken over the rights from woodland animations for bertha & the lady I spoke with informs me that they have no plans to release the entire 13 episodes on dvd as there is no demand from the retail side for it so It would not be comercially viable for them.

  • Try Ebay!

  • That teapot is pure genius. 3 at once

  • I love the leftie bias in Bertha lol.

There was always friction between the managament and the workers. Didn't they have a strike once?

Any further and they'd have Bertha singing the "Red Flag", and burning effigies of Maggie!

  • oh my god! this was my favourite when growing up i love it!

  • thanks from Peru!

  • EPIC!!!!!

  • that teapot was kinda good.....! lol I wonder if they sell DVDs of Bertha/?? does anyone know> Maybe in Amazon?

  • oh Tom..! Still thats what you get hiring Special Needs robots

  • loved this show! i cryed in the episode where one of the workers cut her finger on a box lol! i feel rally old...

  • good

  • Its fascinating how worker rights, class issues and industrial action prevalent at the time is reflected in this children's show. Even notions of ironic reference to political correctness can be witnessed here..

  • why arnt they wearing hard hats?

  • Up the workers, eh!

  • top class wot a show loved it!!!

  • Was this the episode where one of the workers lost their arm recalibrating Bertha's hydraulics and Mr Clackerty was so traumatised by the ensuing litigation that he had a stroke?

  • LORRRL

  • lmao. Best comment on youtube!

  • Tom era un Robot que se une al equipo gracias a TRACEY una chica q queria diseñar algo novedoso y para ello Tom fue su creacion tanto de ella como d Bertha

  • los sonidos de Tom eran muy graciosos!

  • They should bring this back its rocks!!

  • Aw man, Tom the Robots great.

  • Mr. Sprott is AWESOME!

  • I like Mr. Sprott he's my fav on Bertha but looking at him you would think he was a doctor for the nhs than a chief designer for the factory.lol. thanks for up loading this I miss this show so much : )

  • Did Tom ever not f*ck things up? You'd think they'd bin him quick smart.

  • But he was a Talk Operated Machine (T.O.M) so I guess he only did whatever you told him to!

  • I loved this as a kid!

  • Absolutely fantastic

  • oh my gosh, i loved this show!

  • This worries me about how similar this is to my place of work. We have a Ted! we also have an incompetant young chavtastic lad called Tom who tries his best but can't help mess thing up, mainly because he's a fictional robot model. Freaks me outs! we even held a protest.

  • i totally 4got about this! i loved it! miss McClackety and tom!

i swear loads of shows were done by the same animators. the characters look a similar style to postman pat.

  • Both were done by Woodland Animations (Gran, Charlie Chalk, etc.).
