@TheStupidcomment Regardless, if people want to be able to enjoy "extreme" music then they have to take the time to adjust (or in your case, readjust) to it. It may "spoil" it initially, but given time the vocals become just as important as the instruments in enhancing the overall sound.

Best band in the world. Why? They can form a GREAT set using *any* songs from *any* albums and they have no "obligatory" songs like almost all bands of *any* genre in the world have. I really really love, for example, Slayer, but can you imagine them *not* playing Angle of Death?

Everybody knows it's a fan pleaser, but in an interview after Watershed was released, Mikael said they *would* permanently stop playing it. He just didn't say a definite date. So, they may still play it one one gig, but not on some other. He only knows.

Is there a fan consensus to support your claim? andyscoot43 suggested Demon of the Fall, which just *might* be the song most played live, just because it's older and was virtually constantly used as an encore. But has there ever been a poll or anything where fans could vote their favorite song? Mikael certainly doesn't but one specific song above the rest.

@Shellewell Cannot comment because I am unfamiliar with their shows. I have a friend who's a big fan of them so I can probably get some info on the subhect from him. Should they change their setlists constantly, that is something I will respect. Nightwish on the other hand, I've been on shows and seen the recordings, and I do agree they don't seem to have a "must play song". Which is great. Of course, Tarja's departure *forced* them to abandon many old songs for practical reasons.
