@WickedMan274 My Mum has a similar leg problem, she worked all her life, others simply prefer to «beg»... She never got any help from governments, or so, and from the point of view of the client, the driver was being an a-hole, and he tries to punish him in the end, telling to go ask for the change somewhere else, and then he see's him also with a problem, meaning, sometimes we speak too early... I loved this film!

This was truly shocking and really made me think. When I was travelling around in a Tuk-Tuk in Sri Lanka, differently abled people came up to us at stops and begged for money. Some of these people were de-limbed, deformed and disfigured and I was so used to repelling panhandlers in Toronto and Montreal where I live that I rebuked them. I feel so bad about it now, because unlike the Tuk-Tuk driver in the film, I don't think many of them could work. Thank you for this short but great film.

The difference between the auto driver and the beggar was that the auto driver was working hard for his money and was able to do it independently vs. the beggar (although the circumstances may have been different for him).

Well, I appreciate your interest in knowing what's the real message throught this short film.

The Auto Driver earns his living by doing some job even though he's disabled. Where as the begger thinks that he can't do any job other than begging since he's disabled. The difference between both of them is in the attitude,determination and confidence and hence I made the caption "Ignorance of the Ability brings Disability". It's a great message, I got that alright. I was actually wondering..shouldn't he be more compassionate with the begger since he's like him..but now that you explained that he's determined and confident..he maybe thinks this is not the best way to earn money and he will not support it!!

If I am that auto driver, I will not give money as well. My thinking is this, if I can work to make an honest living with my handicap, why can't the begger who is similarly handicapped. It is just being lazy and unwilling to put in the effort to work and wait to get simple money by begging.
